I can understand the change to Mag howl damage, but changing to a 150?
You’re making a big mistake and I guarantee this will be the last straw for a lot of dedicated players, myself included who worked their butt off to get their NF.
This change in particular is crapping on ALL console players where bloom on HC’s is a big issue.
Bad, bad move.

Try Spare Rations. Most FUN handcannon in D2 and something feels soooo right when using it. Aren't some of you getting downright bored with the 180's?
-
Bungie wants the most no skill meta they can find and then when they drive everyone away they will realize how stupid they are but then it will be to late. Bungie just another low blow to the crucible players and after you lied to us about trials and removed it before making the time to kill change shows just how stupid and lame you are. You wont be getting anymore money from me. this game is dead.
-
Are we going to pretend like Luna’s was hard to get? Seriously guys? It takes like 5 hours of playing to get the fabled rank, and after that it’s just use hand cannons... the easiest weapons to use in the game.
-
Yeah, the auto firing shotguns feel TERRIBLE after their nerfs. Doing the same to NF/LH will likely feel as bad (admittedly I don't have either so I'm assuming here). It just feels like you're moving through liquid and moving slower
-
5 RisposteI am fine with and expected this nerf. I earned Lunas back in Season 4. Bungie always nerfs guns that are over used. Graviton Lance, Clever Dragon, Vex Mythoclast, Mida MultiTool.
-
5 RisposteIts the same old Bungie. Nerf the hell out of all sorts of fun items. They are just not capable of buffing other items to bring some kind of balance. They swing from one end of the spectrum to the other on a very consistent basis. Not good enough. I feel for those players who struggle against NF or LH, so give them buffs in other weapons to try and go head to head......... No, Bungo just hit that same old switch...... NERF! All this said though, we all know it happens. Switch one Meta off to create a new one, and it will happen.
-
2 RisposteAgreed man, it looks like they have no idea what they are doing.. The people who have problems are the no skill people that just start playing crucible and are playing against these weapons due to mismatch system. IF they fix this mismatch system the problems would be a lot less. I grinded my ass off for Luna's howl too and feel betrayed if they nerf it among many other players. Like i said before, if they continue this fashion soon A LOT of people stop playing this game due to these erratic decisions of Bungie and not buying anything from them with only themselves to blame. I hope this never happens as i love this game, but not how bungie is running it now unfortunately.
-
Just shows that they don't playtest their stuff thus solving artificial problems. Super mods???????????????????????????? Bloom????????????????????????????????????????????? ... Not a single word about these New maps????????????????????????? New gametypes?????????? I still dream of a Destiny where my Ace can compete with a 180 rpm Luna/NF on console, like it does on PC. Until then, keep listening to your "Nerf-everything"-kids that can't stand to loose in a damn video game. Quick info for those kids: It doesnt matter which gun a better player uses against you, the result will still be the same! Oh and thank you Bungie for getting me more Destiny friends to team up with in Apex. Highly appreciated! Can't believe that I'm having more fun in a game that is free to play than a game I paid 100+ $ for...
-
They should have just offered a quick play version so anyone could get it but required 3 headshots to proc mh. Buffing only bodyshots is just dumb. 150 isnt a huge nerf as long as the bloom and recoil stay the same. There will always be a huge gap between the casuals and comp sweats no matter what guns they use.
-
I don't care at all, hopefully there are more weapons that are viable now (preferably none Hand Cannons). I grinded for both LH and NF as they're sort of just trophies, but I'll only use NF as a crutch occasionally. Just wait to see how the changes pan out, but if you're quitting the game due to 2 guns getting nerfed that is hilarious.
-
I almost think they've created the uproar to make people forget about all the previous issues. Notice all the posts about cores are now buried under the ones about Luna? Im sure once they get sick of this one, there'll be something else to distract from all the other issues. Bungie is failing hard as a developer right now, between ignoring the community and putting out broken content, it's really quite sad.

12 RisposteModificato da BC1 Edge: 4/26/2019 5:37:35 AMI thought a good player can use any gun, so why the salt about this one gun
-
26 RisposteKnow what? I’ve got Luna’s. And I’m glad they’re nerfing it. Hopefully it will encourage more variety. It’s not like the gun is going to be trash. Just won’t fire as quickly. The elite crucible players should challenge themselves with using other guns instead of pubstomping lobbies with the easiest and most forgiving hand cannons out there. Crucible is stale af. It needs a change. And guess what? The nerfs are nothing new. Anyone who played D1 should know that by now. Guns have their glory days. Then they get the axe and then comes the next meta. Rinse and repeat. Hopefully this change will bring back some more of the casual player base so crucible might start being fun again.
-
Lots of the players that don't play crucible anymore don't play because of these weapons. Bungie is doing the right thing because now more people might be willing to jump into PvP. The only people that will be hurt by this are the ones that paid for the guns because they won't be able to do as well with them but if your good you will be fine.

I only managed to get LH a couple of weeks ago (season 6, XBONE) - so obviously I'm a bit prejudiced/partial in this discussion. In a nutshell: it's a pinnacle weapon that took me a damn long time to obtain (solo queuing part of it, which led to many loss streaks + the fact that I am very much an average player). Great effort should yield a great reward, a.k.a a powerful/unique weapon. On the other hand I agree with one thing... something has to change because on console these guns out-duel pretty much every single weapon. So the rate of fire change... fine I guess (won't make much of a difference because it's still very stable on the whole). Turning the beautiful/awesome/unique magnificent howl perk into an unoriginal 'opposite' of the 'fate of all fools' perk from Jade Rabbit (where chaining body shots allows one to "gain bonus damage on your next precision shot [...]") - well, that's exactly that... unoriginal/underwhelming. [and not worth the grind if you ask me] So leave magnificent howl alone ("leave britney alone") or turn the perk into something a bit more interesting/unique. Or leave the perk as it is and make LH/NF exotic - seen that suggestion a couple of times here and there; could be a welcome change. TLDR (summary): Turning the beautiful/awesome/unique magnificent howl perk into an unoriginal 'opposite' of the 'fate of all fools' perk from Jade Rabbit (where chaining body shots allows one to "gain bonus damage on your next precision shot [...]") - well, that's exactly that... unoriginal/underwhelming.

They just need to do away with pinacle weapons and reward pinacle armor (i.e. unique design with random rolls but able to be purchased multiple times). What are your thoughts on this?
-
Don’t be silly. Streamers, content creators complaining that people are leaving destiny because of those guns, there is no fun for a player who don’t have them to go negative all the time. If you are a skilled player you can use any gun from your inventory, just have a look at TrueVanguard.
-
The irony is that a lot of the committed player base was already driven away by LH/NF spam in quickplay. While I do agree that other weapons should be buffed to be more viable (auto rifles pls) it’ll be nice to finally see a little variety in the crucible. This has been the meta since the launch of forsaken, and I’d like to see other weapons become viable.
-
I like the meta changing but I like using a variety of stuff all the time. I honestly just can't figure out the fun of using the same thing over and over and over. To each his own but I just can't understand how that doesn't get boring after a while.
-
To many cheaters are using these guns
-
6 RisposteEh... I’m actually kinda glad the nerf is coming. I got the LH a long while ago (I did the whole quest line in a day when I hit Fabled, made me wanna commit seppuku, lol). And I’m going for the NF right now (mostly because I like the aesthetics of the thing... it has such a unique look to it!), and in Comp, I tend to use one of two primaries to win: Luna’s, or my Inaugural Address, because just... so good. Luna’s makes Crucible really boring, TBH. It is such... a good gun. And while some people may be like ‘well use it if it’s so good’, I do use it... If I want to help some friends out with Comp. I just don’t like the same damn easy button over and over again, especially in Quickplay. Sure, you can outplay a Luna’s (I’ve done it myself many times), if they’re garbage. But if they have actual skill with the gun, the match just turns into a rage fest, because of the sheer advantage it gives, and the effort you have to put in to not get slaughtered. I play Crucible for fun, Comp aside. I like swapping around my loadouts to have fun. Maybe some of these people whining should try some guns... Malfeasance and Recluse is a pretty sweet combo. Or Breakneck and Erentil, that’s pretty fun. Recluse Light (aka Gnawing Hunger) plus Arbalest is pretty neato too. (Have any of you tried Bug Out Bag with a Thundercrash Titan, using your melee to get in close + do damage? It’s a chaotic, fun way to play!) Essentially, just have some fun guys. Try some new guns. Sure, they may not always be as good as LH or NF is currently (and it’s not like the nerf is crippling them, it’s just mixing them up for Traveler’s sake), but they sure as hell are fun to use.

I'm and averege pvp player and got Luna resently. Was tryin to get it for a long time and gettin 2100 solo glory rank is being pretty tough task for me. But I did it! Was so happy! Well...not for long :( For me dis gun was so good in pve. I just loved how dis perk workin on bosses and other tanky gyes. Now I feel my self and idiot, investing so mach time in the gun wich they about to nerf. Fu, Bungie. I dont care if its op in pvp or other shit. Its too late to nerf it. Some ppl blowed their asses to get it. Test your guns better than! Especially guns hard to get like dis. Damn, I hate you.
-
No. Those guns have been a nightmare for 4 months. They will be a nightmare for another 6 weeks or so, until Opulence begins. So even if you just got the damn thing, you'll still have plenty of time for fun with it.
-
That will be more than offset by the number of casuals that return to quick play. The "loyal" players that leave as a result of the nerf is an acceptable loss.
-
1 RispondiI suspect this is going to be a slight buff in long term effect, if you change how you use the weapon. Bear with me for a moment... It does the same damage per shot as a waking vigil or thorn now. However, it is still going to have the same bloom and recoil of a 180 hand cannon. NF isn't losing any range, which means it can still compete at pulse rifle range. This means that at a distance, the weapon will now be more viable as a team shooting weapon. The slower rate of fire also makes the weapon more usable with peek shooting. If there is no team shooting happening, this gun will still kill in 3 shots more consistently than any other hand cannon in the game. It will still be a pinnacle weapon, just not a totally broken one. P.S: I have my luna's, I have my recluse, I did both almost totally solo. (almost)
-
It was a terrible idea to lock these weapons behind rank in the first place tbh, titles and cosmetics are the only thing that should be ranked locked.
