Your grinding model is just too much. I’ve been you with you guys since the beginning, but I think it’s time to start looking for new things this grinding crap is getting old. I no longer have the time and it seems like it takes even more time now than it ever has just to get things in this game. It’s not fun, it’s just frustrating as hell now I regret wasting all my time on your game. I guess destiny is only for people who can spend 2-3 hours or more a day just to get anywhere

10 RisposteWorking dad here. You choose family over video games as the responsible thing to do. Accept you will never have enough time to invest to get these pinnacle weapons without giving up family, work or sleep. My suggestion is to enjoy what you can and not worry about playing the collection game.

3 RisposteModificato da Pocket Fox: 4/2/2019 5:02:08 AMI'm a working dad with 2 kids. I just hit 700 this week entirely solo (save for Nightfall lfg) and I've never raided. Raids, pvp pinnacle weapons, and grindy titles/triumphs/vanity items are really the only things I don't have time for. So yeah I agree with you that being a completionist is pretty much out of the picture. But the bulk of the game is still within reach. Of course it's an entirely different story if you've got babies or little kids that aren't in school yet. It's freaking awesome when they get a little older and self sufficient. Man I don't miss those early years.
-
Simple suggestions: from a dad 1 don't ever steal my hard earned gear from me so you can sell it back to me later. 2. Don't touch the thermostat.
-
Yeah agree. I'm a working dad with 3 sons. I only play crucible now and then. Because the grind is way to boring
-
I agree with this guy and I am a working dad as well. We don't want rewards given to us for nothing. I play on friday and Saturday nights. The problem for me is just keeping up with light levels by the time I complete them it's 2 am. I am not bitching just letting out some frustration.

11 RisposteWorking dads the most oppressed group in gaming Should have wrapped your Willy’s
-
I’m a father of three with a full time job and have no trouble getting the stuff done that I want to get done. I think you need to switch out “working dads” with “people who don’t play much”.
-
That’s why they are called weekly milestones:).
-
25 RisposteWtf is this post it literally takes 1-2 hours to complete all the milestones on a character for the week and takes 15 minutes to do a daily how do you knot have time in your day? Maybe watch less espn and Fox News you might be able to accomplish something in the game
-
wow you are adult and still you are complaining like a little kid jeez GROW UP

Modificato da GrifterDeMier01: 4/2/2019 4:55:44 AMNo it's not, just like lots of other games. If you are a family man or woman or go to school or have 2 jobs or whatever your situation is, if you only have like 1-2 hours of free time a day you should be playing simple games like street fighter or single player story driven games like red dead redemption 2. You shouldn't waste away what little free time you have on shitty online shooter games like destiny or fortnite or COD or battlefront. Games like those are one of the worst things to happen to the video gaming industry along with mobile games and micro transactions.

9 RisposteAn hour in this game is like 5 minutes working out. It just won't do you any good.
-
Modificato da Bacon Wrapped: 4/1/2019 6:10:17 AMAs working dads we just have to each pick the parts of the game that are most important to us and do those things, rather than be the completionists we'd like to be. I wish I could do more in Destiny too, but I also wish I could have finished the Witcher 3, played the last two Ass Creed games and finished Halo 5 (even though I wasn't enjoying it). Sometimes life steps in and we have to do other things instead, and that's okay.

I’m a working dad and I’ve been able to get just about any weapon in the game. I do believe that some of the grind is a bit excessive, the thorn grind was a bit much for boys hc kills, but I believe this was a response to those who were against negative progression.
-
1 RispondiTotally agree. The pinnacle weapon grinds are just too much. And on top of it comes the seasonal stuff you need to do, otherwise the gear is gone forever. The game is now made for jobless, kids or streamers. If you work full time, you're screwed.
-
It's not for anyone with a full-time job...
-
3 RisposteSpend more time with your kids, rather than worrying about a video game.
-
3 RisposteWhat about working moms? What a sexist post 😂

2 RisposteAs a working dad myself who spends 3-4 hours daily in game, may i ask, 2-3 hours is already long for you? that's only what? 3 rounds of crucible, 2 gambit primes, 1 vanguard strike? how to get anywhere with that? but you see - grinds are grinds. that's the only thing that keeps you from playing the game with a fair amount of progression. Because really, without the grind - what is there left to do? See, now that i have 21% DELIRIUM i'm beginning to lose interest forging Machine Guns. seriously for what? Imagine, if I don't - I need not do any Black armory content - which is a waste of content really. I mean we paid for these only to be outdated just like that! But hey, i'm still doing 1-2 weapon forges daily - just for the joy and fun of it. ;) isn't this supposed to be the main motivation for every game - PLAY! not a chore.
-
Same. I have had to resort to mostly maining one character. I’ve gone from season to season barely making it to the power cap on all 3. No crucible pinnacle weapons. I’ve ground the piss out of gambit; got malfeasance and breakneck, but no ship, shader or shell in collections— so no dredgen title. Hardly no forsaken exotics. I used to grind raids and enjoy it, but I’ve stayed so far behind the 8 ball I don’t even want to attempt the new ones. It just feels like a job at this point— and not a very fun one.
-
I totally agree and am in the same boat. THE numero UNO part of the game is friends and when you have friends in the same boat (who are also working dads) and don't have all night or all day to spend grinding thats when the fun begins. It takes eternity to get to something but we all want to get there. Maybe a weekend you will have 3 hrs to do a raid etc. Some weeks you will not have more than an hr at night - maybe get together and get a power engram! PS4 here - We host a clan which aims to be exactly this - https://www.bungie.net/en/ClanV2/Chat?groupId=712705

1 RispondiIf you’ve enjoyed the game up to this point why are you complaining about grinding now? Light level has the least value ever (iron banner, gambit invasions, reckoning) and there are tons of ways to improve light level without being pigeonholed into specific activities. If anything the game is the most noob friendly it’s ever been right now.
-
I’ll start by saying that I do recognize that there are some issues for the more casual player. However I feel like so many people aren’t complaining because things are a grind, but complaining because it’s not easy to obtain if that makes sense. Things like MW cores are a problem for people who can only play an hour or 2 a day. The pinnacle weapon grinds? I’m sorry aren’t an issue they are PINNACLE weapons it should take some time to get them. I will however say put an asterisk next to the Luna’s grind. The weapon should be difficult to obtain but this grind is an honest insult to people’s time. I’m not going to suggest a way to rework it simply because idk a good way to do it. It should be hard to get but not a slap in the face every time you think you’ve made progress then lose a game or 2. The thing people misconstrue in Destiny is that everyone should be equal. In terms of power and being able to compete against each other? Yes. In terms of loot? No, you get what you put into the game. Someone who plays 8 hours a day vs someone’s 2 hours should be rewarded for that. Just means the person with 2 hours per day takes a little longer to get the item. I’m on the side of I don’t get to play as much as I’d like I work 2 jobs 50+ hours a week, still manage to have a life outside of work and destiny and still am not having a problem with the way this game currently works. So it makes me curious how efficient some are being with the time they have on the game.

4 RisposteI'm a caregiver. Both the "loss physics" in comp and the fact that they refuse to add matchmaking even to to things as easy to do matchmaking for as night fall means I'm usually screwed out of everything. "Oh hey you want to get to 2100 in comp? Just get a team together in lfg, even if most of you are bad, you'll still win more games than you lose." or "Hey just use lfg to do the nightfall so you can grind this weapon or that weapon or what ever and you don't even need to use a mic"... Do you know the kind of PTSD causing shit caregivers deal with? People describe caring for elders a lot like caring for children, and beyond being an offensive and disrespectful way to think of it, it's also wrong. But if you're going to use that metaphor, being a caregiver to an elder with declining health is not like being a parent, as a parent your childs dependence on you will diminish over time, no, being a caregiver is like being the parent of a terminally ill child, one who lives in pain, one whom is going to die, and soon, will it be today? Tomorrow? Two years from now? You don't know, but it's not in the distant future, it's soon, and all you can do is hope it's not today, oh and let me add you get to feel guilty for hoping it's not today because each day you add to their life is another day for them to suffer. But you never know why you're being called away. Are they hungry? Are they thirsty? ARE THEY DYING?! You don't know! You just know you have to go do for them what they cannot do for them selves and while often times yes it could have waited, often times it can't. Good luck making a fireteam under the pretense "look shit could get real at any time so if I have to just suddenly bail, tough shit you'll just have to deal with it". Yeah. That'll go great. It's not just "working dads" or "college students" or any way you want to slice it who this game is "hard on". This game "FUÇKS OVER" anyone who has real world responsibilities that aren't get literally paid as a streamer or youtuber to play this damned game over and over all day every day. People have responsibilities in life and it's time that these "game as a service" time traps started to respect people who might be fans but can't fanatically dedicate every minute of every day because THERE ARE OTHER THINGS IN THE -blam!-ING WORLD BESIDES THIS ONE GAME.
