Stop telling us not to infuse in the forum
If you are one of the jack wagons out there saying "derp just don't infuse until you reach max light derp" you are just not getting it.
That isn't a solution or a fun way to play. It is the equivalent of shrugging at a stupid idea and saying "oh well what can ya do?"
Also, just as dumb is the "infusion cores are easy to get"
No, they aren't. Getting cores on a regular basis is multi-step torture:
Do dumb activities on a lonely planet for ghosts.
Get a dumb bounty and sit on a planet doing nothing but watching for an HVT to pop up.
Hope to get a shot at at it.
The bounties should be obtainable with planetary materials or glimmer. And the bounties should be in game activities or events.

It's not a dumb idea, it's just been done totally wrong. I was doing their sure fire method for getting a ton of cores and got up to twenty I think, but that's only because I got no useful drops for almost two weeks. I'm back down to 2-3 now that new stuff is out again. I tried just using whatever I got and it sucks. I just get smgs. That's super not fun until they fix those. How you don't get one core with every milestone is beyond me. Either that, or one for every purple you dismantle. I don't just use the same three guns on the characters and this is throttling the shit out of my experience.

In fact infusion back in D1 after TK was the best..

3 RisposteIf you’re running out of cores, you’re infusing too often or not utilizing the available core sources. Using other guns can be fun, I promise. Use the ones you don’t like on adventures, strikes and bounties and other activities that don’t matter, then infuse your favorites when you’ve gotten enough cores and have made a power jump bigger than 2-3. I infuse at increments of 5-10 light. If I have a sucky loadout, I pick ONE item to infuse to better fit my play style until I have enough mats to do it again. Your loadout should evolve and differ some between activities. Cores could be more abundant, absolutely, but Bungie has the right idea by making infusion a weighty choice.

2 RisposteI infuse every time I get a piece that is higher light than what I already have (even if its just by 1). I have infused all three characters up to 385+ light and it maybe has cost me 300 or so cores. I started with over a full stack of them so I still have 700+. They are not that hard to get - All I did was buy three each day from spider & do those blue bounties whenver they popped up. Suprising how many you can accumulate over a couple months...

4 RisposteI understand many people’s beefs with this game (I have my own as well) but enhancement cores aren’t one of them. It really comes off as petty whining/complaining that are moaning that you have to actually do a little work to level up a set you specifically want leveled. I mean so many games you have to leave gear behind for more powerful stuff. At least we have a way to keep our beloved gear relevant and yet you still complain because you want it handed to you. If you hate that you have to spend materials to level your favorite gear up....at least you DO have a path to keep wearing your special gear until you’re 700. insulting people because they give you a solution (postponing infusion) that isn’t YOUR solution really comes off as entitlement. Want a core so you can infuse only one set of gear gradually as you level up? At least you have a method to do it...but You have to work for it like anything else in this game. Grinding for cores can be a pain but there’s methods to get them. As Bungie has said many times....there are many ways to get them. Do I think some of the economy needs a tweak? Yes....but asking for them to get tossed is as lazy as asking Bungie to auto shoot your weapons for you. At the end of the day the community has given solutions and it’s downright distasteful that you insult them. If you don’t like their solution and you don’t want to use cores....don’t play. Seriously....these are the rules of the game. If you don’t like it....or think it’s dumb....don’t play it. You’re entitled to your opinion but don’t speak as if it is fact. You ask people to stop telling us not to infuse in the forum? I tell you stop complaining about having to actually play the game to get what you want.

6 RisposteI have literally gotten over 50 enhancement cores since Jokers Wild dropped. I've infused a couple weapons and masterworked 2 and now I'm sitting at around 190-200 cores. >mfw

yeah and blaming others for your stupidity is a fun way to play ? its like u play a soccer game and cant shoot a goal, and ask for a bigger goal in the game .... this is completly the same for cores in game . ppl cry and cry and cry and cry about cores .... they are just to stupid to get some. remove cores from enchantment is like give out a bigger goal to a soccer game. and yes, if u infude every -blam!-ing shit while its 2 point better than your old gear, than its your fault. there is no problem with cores at all, when u infude your belived helmet again when u reached max lvl untill than eauipp a etter one and done.noooo instead ppl cry about the costs and the cores but whant keep on infusing every 2 power lvl.this players did not understand the game at all. ther is a reason why u can get some cores from spider via quest and his shop. this is by far enough.no ppl keep on crying best solution to such idiots is to hand out god roll items with power level 700 and masterwork right ? and this all in 1 day. so they dont need to put effort in a game,or have to do something at all. in my yes ppl like this have only 1 way to get all they want : uninstalling D2 and go play tetris....

3 RisposteI really have a hard time understanding this complaint. Most every loot based game out there doesn't let you "level" your gear, and you are forced to just use the next "higher level" thing. On top of that, masterwork cores are essentially free at this point for any player that has put a decent amount of time into the game. The way I've seen this argued is essentially two groups of people: 1) New players that don't have legendary shards, or any time in the game. Yet are EXPECTING to keep the gear they had dropped at hour 5, to be usable end-game at hour 10... No game does this. Keep playing and you will soon be swimming in more cores then you know what to do with. 2) Core players that have put a ton of time into the game, and have 0 clue on the mechanics at play. Chances are you are complaining about cores, yet are sitting on a vast collection of every consumable/currency in the game. SPEND THE CURRENCY YOU DERP. Legendary Shards = Cores. You know those three flashing Beacons every time you get to the tower??(Vanguard, Crucible, Gunsmith) those are essentially masterwork core vendors. STOP HOARDING YOUR SHIT. "Stop infusing every piece of gear" is completely valid advice. On the climb to 700 you have 0 reason or need to infuse your 662 primary the moment a 665 drops. The power gain is minimal... so waiting till you are about to do content that has a required light level and infusing an entire set at 1 time for that content is completely sensible. Or only infusing at the EOW before attempting the most difficult and most light demanding content. And really, it's a first world problem attitude to have such a strong desire and NEED to infuse frequently, which the game has content to allow this, then complain about not wanting to do the content that would allow you to do the thing that you want to do...

I wish a vendor would sell those cores for glimmer. I hit the 100k cap daily (Why even have a cap? Socialists! jk). :D Now I try and go to Spider and buy planetary materials I don't need just to get my glimmer down. Some vendor should sell the cores for like 20k glimmer each.

You'll still get upgrades. Besides there's only one activity right now that requires higher than 650 unless I'm mistaken.

All we ever get is Cozmo's and Dmg's boiler plate replies and those are few and far between. You don't like that. I get it, but prove me wrong. You can't. So fact remains you simply have to Infuse wisely. Do I support the current Infusion System? [b]No I do not[/b] and you cannot claim I do simply because I do not blindly support your pouting. Should the infusion system change? [b]Oh you bet your sweety bippy it should[/b]. The current system is laboriously ridiculous and way too time consuming to be viable in the current game economy. It is just stupid. The cores should not be used for anything other than Masterworking weapons and gear and never for infusion. I have my fav set of armor and gear. It pains me greatly to have to set it aside for some random drop I need to up the power level. I do not like it if Bungie ever does change, I really hope they do, it will be a great reason to play. Otherwise I just have to stay the course, like everybody, and do what has to be done.

It's not 'don't infuse till max light, it's don't infuse everything you have. Infusing as you go is fine for the gear you're using. Also getting the cores to do it is really easy, so have a ball.

This game is all about constantly replacing your current gear with new-found better rolls so yeah . . . infusion shouldnt be a tough decision. The ones who say it isn't a problem can probably count on 1 hand how many kinetic and energy weapons they use in PvE.

I have entire sets of armor and 30+ weapons fully masterworked, with a bunch of extra cores to spare. It's a very simple system. And while I agree that it shouldn't be a thing outside of masterworking gear, it sounds like user error on your end. I get 10 a day without noticing. That doesn't include the 2 cheapies from that fat, pompous Fallen dick. You can also take the 20 minutes out of your day to buy/exchange Simulation Seeds and call it a week.

Currently and I'm not playing everyday, I have 1 toon able to be 659 but all the levelled gear is in spare slots and I have my best 650 gear equiped. Also by doing this, collecting 2 cores from spider and dismantling gear, I have 287 cores at the moment and that's only gonna go up. I will be more than ready to infuse max gear in 8 weeks or so. I expect to have 400+ cores by the time my infusion starts But you go ahead, infuse, run out of cores and then bitch about it here. All the while it's your fault you ran out

You should have been in D1 with the Etheric Light garbage. It was the only way to carry over weapons from the year before.
