Keep D2 PvP alive
Up vote if you value PvP in destiny 2 and would like to see bungie continue to put resources toward it.
No specific feedback here. The point is just to hopefully show PvP is valued by a large part of the community. I play all the D2 content and have all 3 classes and enjoy it all, but PvP is what keeps D2 alive for me.

3 RisposteI just hope D3 completely separates PVE and PVP with their own story, quests, skills, weapons, armour and exotics. A ‘story’ where you build your PvP character to be a champion of the crucible. Quests for weapon makers, sponsors who deck you out in themed gear (omolon, suris, hakke etc). Holliday working like your manager giving you quests. Crucible more like a sport, streamers, fireworks, big screens, flags etc more like SRL had. Then PVE more focussed with more modes, challlenges etc.

1 RispondiHave an Upvote. Why: I don't play PVP often, when I do, I have fun. I don't have enough Muscle memory, to be constantly great at it, which is somewhat of a thrill for me, as every win, kill, super, is something I look forward to. I feel that Bungie lost their focus with PVP, thus giving way to this shit show they call the crucible at the moment. I still like it, but its about as balanced as having McGregor fight a blind man with no arms. The CORE of it is, that there is not enough content / rewards to engage the PVP player base at the moment, and that has the PVP population dwindling severely and thus damaging the current state of PVP. more Focus on the game mode, rewards, etc. means that more people will engage, and therefore balance out the player matchmaking one can hope.

Look, Destiny by design is not a competitive playlist, the fact loot perks aren't deactivated leads to an unbalanced mess. Yes, it can be fun having Luna's Howl and whatever pinnacle crucible weapon, but it also hurts the casual players that aren't interested in the ranked playlist that has become a sespit of scumbaggery resulting in just a requirement to be on a 4 player team instead of running solo. As time goes on the advantage will stretch between the midcore crowd and the hardcore crowd increases. Now yes, skill does come in as a factor, but adding a second layer of a weapon makes midcore players have two stages they need to somehow overcome just to have a fighting chance. At some point, midcore players get fed up and leave. This is also the same with new players who just get smashed in by players who are always populating the playlist with these weapons. There isn't a healthy population for the midcore or casuals to play in. Matchmaking will not help much in this aspect as a healthy diverse population is required. Right now unless crucible/comp gets a massive overhaul, Bungie shouldn't invest too much into PvP as the population of the playlist won't ever expand because of the players existing in it with gargantuan advantages. Destiny in the end isn't competitive, and if Bungie at least for the time, chucks competitive out the window, maybe Crucible will be more fun when no one takes it too seriously.

4 RisposteI would love it if the community and Bungie both respected two things: - PVP is a legitimate part of Destiny and should remain. - PVP should not be forced upon people who don't want to play it. I personally believe that no quest should force players to play PVP... or PVE... exclusively. We should see quests that say: "Play 10 heroic strikes or 10 crucible matches". "Kill 100 guardians in the Crucible or kill [1,000/5,000/10,000] (e.g. some fair number) minions of the darkness". Stuff like that. Ultimately, let people play and be rewarded for what they enjoy. Stop making the game a chore. - Players on both sides need to accept balance as part of life in a game like this. Granted, it [i]really [/i]sucks having you favorite stuff nerfed. But, let's be real... you'll just find a new favorite thing... or you'll quit playing altogether. In either case, it won't really matter. Life goes on.

Bungie can't compete with the BR train right now so they should focus on other aspects of the game.

They've been trying to drive the competitive pvp community away for months now with a complete lack of new content, very minimal balance changes, plenty of easy to use weapons, and plenty of heavy ammo. It's worked (at least in PC), only a small fraction of the competitive playerbase still plays (I'm leaving after I reach 5500 this season). Hopefully they'll actually communicate with the remaining more casual playerbase or they'll probably lose them too.

This is one of those posts where your heart is in the right place but PVP is garbage and Bungie made it this way and remain silent. The game is dead and Bungie killed it with one bad decision after another.
