Yep. This is why I left and went to other games. Not particularly the 1k voices, but because I would do milestone after milestone and sometimes get gear that helped, but mostly get gear that put one of my armor pieces up by 2 light that didn't even have the rolls I would even want to use and you don't want to infuse for just 2 light because then you'll run out of masterwork....I mean enhancement...cores..... I don't want to put my time into a game that might give me a reward that I might want. Then when I do want it I have to spend valuable resources just to be able to use it at my highest light level. The game is supposed to be about every person can play the way they would like, not we are going to force you to put in countless hours just to play somewhat how you like. No one wants to do the same old strikes and play crucible where everyone is using the same old gun. I love Destiny, don't get me wrong. I just can't put in the pointless grind grind grind just to maybe get some stuff I want. If there were more missions like the whisper quest then I would be happier. You do a tough mission for guaranteed loot. If they set nightfalls up to where you get a certain score you get the weapon then that would be nice. I don't mind the RNG way for people who aren't good enough to get high scores, but can beat something repetitively. I also gate having to beat story missions 3x over when one time is plenty enough for me. Stuff like that and having to waste time running back and forth to the tower or other planets for bounties just makes someone waste so much time they eventually would rather a game like COD where they hardly wait to actually play the game.

RNG can be a b1tch. It was in the early days of VOG with the Mythoclast, and now with LW. (I did 3 runs in total, of which the first 2 runs gave me 1KV). On balance I do like that seals have an element of RNG in them, but the current drop rates of ship/ghost/sparrow is too low.

Bungie [i]can[/i] do better. If their intention isn't for people to take over 60 attempts to get the raid exotic, then they can fix it. Set increasing odds, set a number of attempts cap, have a once per week or month lucky coin that allows you to choose one item for guaranteed dropping, or maybe even something no one has ever thought of before. But if that is their intention, well then a big ol' Bungie FU to you chief. Thanks for coming back, they appreciate that you're willing to keep coming back week after week doing an activity you've grown bored of a long time ago.

Do people get that upset about a tiny bit of text below there tag? Just seems a lot of people get worked up about the seals being tied to RNG but realistically it means nothing and does nothing for the game, it's just text.

It's what happens when you defend previous bonehead decisions. Eventually they go full bonehead. They'll probably fix it, make it 100 completions for the title.
