LEAVE THE LAST WORD QUEST ALONE!
Bungie, please for the love of god DO NOT cater to all of the whiner cry baby’s complaining about the last word quest. Like my self along with MANY other guardians, I’ve already completed the quest and am enjoying last word very much.
You need to start having a back bone with you’re community and let them accomplish something instead of giving in and handing it to them on a silver platter. (Like you did with the Ace of spades quest)
It’s people like that who are ruining destiny and need to be told they need to WORK for something in your game.

2 RisposteI don't want a nerf to the quest in terms of PvP (for any piece of gear, for that matter), but installing a side alley to finish it would go a long way. What I mean is, leave the means to award high-skill gameplay but give another method to cater to the less-than-perfect crowd that is still challenging. Maybe make a PvE mission that is repeated through Shaxx to help the Redjacks clear the arenas, but the process is way slower (just a thought). Openning different but relevant paths to special gear is IMHO the best way to cater to everyone.

7 RisposteA game has to have aspirational content or it isn't worth playing. I am, admittedly, not a very good PVP player but I am getting through this step. Getting kills, or assists, where I can and just trying not to die. Getting a KDA of 1.0 or above will get you through this. To the PVE only players, this is tough. But The Last Word is pretty much a PVP weapon. If you don't use a hand cannon now in PVE then you probably won't use the Last Word. And if you do use a hand cannon in PVE then you are probably good enough to get through this step. To you self-proclaimed PVP gods let me ask you a question. Did you complete the PVP quest steps in Competitive against similarly skilled players or did you go into Quickplay and quickly slaughter potatoes? Look up the word empathy and try using it sometimes.

Maybe if you got the frame, and unlocked it's potentiality with success... I don't know, just spit balling here. ========================== One additional thing that might help if bungie is going to continue along these lines... Got put in a lopsided losing effort last nite. Other team was stacked. All had their supers up. I got supered like 7x in a row. They were on my spawns and I fought hard just to reach another team mate b4 they'd quit from the other side of mao. Thankfully it was over in two minutes but I took a 10% loss on that match. I should've never been put into that match! Why do we not have tic boxes to check preference? #bungieknowsbest

I love all the quest that Destiny has made. But they should not be a team quests, thiey should be an individual quests, This is the problem, you have these teams going up against solo players , of course they are going to win. and bring your k/d down with it. no I don't need to find a team, I want to do it myself, its called individualism. I would love to see these players / streamers/ you tube yahoos, who are so cocky that they( meaning the team) completed the PVP portion in like 2-5 matches. Try it by yourself and see how easy it is. This is the issue with Destiny, it is not catering to casual or hardcore players that is the issue with the game, it is not catering to the individual. As an individual who paid for the game , I want to choose when and where I play with someone, not be forced to have a team for everything just to do an event or to simply progress in a timely manner. If you want team shot, great for you go play COD. but this is really getting old. Of course you can say " then quit". I don't want to quit I want the game to be fun for all that paid to play it. The majority of the complaints are coming from solo players, which is a large section of the player base. The real achievement is completing things solo, that is the accomplishment, not by the streaming teams that talk about how easy it was and that we should just "get good". Try it by yourself and then get back to us when you "get good" by yourself rather than being carried by your team.

3 RisposteIn all fairness, If Bungie has a backbone, they wouldn’t have caved to the hardcore community’s complaints about D2 Y1 and we ended up with Forsaken. Both casuals and hardcore complain that Bungie listens too much to the other. Neither side can say Bungie caters specifically to one or the other. They try to appease a bit too much with the nerfing/buffing . The game is a mess because they try to play the game of appeasement. But you can never please everyone . That’s why the game is a mess right now with weapon balancing.

5 RisposteActually I just got the last word after the bullshit of going through PvP. I say I used mayhem to do the PvP shit. But the last part is bullshit and needs to be changed. Also going through the crucible is bullshit as well and needs to be changed. If anything the last part could be made into separate mission where you eventually get to a part of the mission where you have to stand in one place and kill multiple enemies with the last word or something. Going through PvP for the quest is bullshit and is the one thing many people have told bungie to stop doing.

The first pvp part and the last mission were just terrible, in fact the last mission was a childish embarrassment for a gun that apparently has a lot of lore around it.

I moaned when I first clapped eyes on the Pvp part of the quest however I done this over a few hours in mayhem. It looks like bungie isn’t changing this quest as dmg said in a complaint post about the quest, we will take this into consideration in the future.

I mean, Bungie changed the Ace quest when there was infinitely less complaining than this. Its only a matter of time at this point.
