This milestone gear up system is actually killing my enjoyment of this game, it feels like a tedious chore doing the exact same shit every week in order to gear up.
Actually tilts me beyond belief.

1 RispondiWhat’s is this... D1 posts again? It’s almost the same people complaining about the same shît that they CHOSE to do.
-
1 RispondiYes, the same old grind is becoming tiresome. However I am enjoying the forge and the dawning event, that’s because it’s something new though. Luckily I have other games to play.
-
My solution: Raise power to 1000 Remove soft cap Legendary engrams drop up to +2 over your max power every time Prime engrams drop up to +5 Milestones drop up to +10 Tier 3 type stuff, like Dreaming City/dungeon/pinnacle weapons drops up to +15 Raid drops up to +20 This will allow us to grind any activity endlessly because it's fun and because legendary engrams will level us up slowly Milestones still exist as bigger boosts Endgame activities incentivized even more Obviously you could balance those numbers better but off the top of my head that would be okay as the main reason for the change is to allow us to level up however we want. Whether it be quick through endgame content or slowly in Crucible/Strikes/Gambit/etc, at least we could choose to do whatever we want and still make progress

3 RisposteUm.. Bake a cookie or whatever.. turn it in to Shaxx and Hawthorne.. Each one gave me a BLUE, WEAPON, LOWER THAN MY LIGHT LEVEL... Takes a while to get some of the Ingrediant s. I must've punched 245 enemies before getting one Personal Ingrediant. So . Once I unlock the Sparrow... I'm out. Already have Avalanche with Rampage and threat detector.

2 RisposteWell by all means continue to pre order and purchase "Annual" passes I'm sure that's totally sending Bungie the message hahaha Seriously though, "Annual" Passes are the biggest insult I've ever seen. Shame on you guys for falling for that crap
-
1 RispondiBeyond board I was a heavy player from d1 the fun days into this insane grind for little to no loot If you have a Job you can't play d2 and level up anytime soon the mechanics are good in this game there are still few games that give the gameplay that destiny does the load times now are crazy connection issues I'm sick of seeing contacting destiny servers and black screens I guess Bungie will blame the ps4 as the hardware struggles with the enormous size of the game or is it just Bungie it's a shame had the series for me as the best game I had played bit like breaking bad slow start good in the middle and shit at the end
-
What happened with me is when Forsaken launched I did nothing but play Destiny for two months and right now I don’t feel like investing another 100 hours grinding through all the same exact content again just to get a couple marginally better weapons (assuming the rolls are even in my favor in the first place). Also I’m still a bit put off by what they did how they handled the the whole Luna’s/Not Forgotten/Comp mess and they’ve ruined Quickplay for me as a result. This is the first time since I started playing D1 years ago that I’m not excited or even bothering with a DLC and I don’t know if I’m even doing The Dawning this year, same issue running around hours through the same content and having to sit through videos just to work out how to get everything done right, IDK I have other games I’d rather play right now. I think new Strikes/Crucible maps and weapon balancing, fix Quickplay, etc., might bring me back into the game.
-
1 RispondiYeah same stuff every week. I can barely bring myself to play. I might hop on and play some crucible every now and then but I cant do the mindless PvE anymore.
-
2 RisposteI don't mind to do same milestones every week. I want to get new hand cannon this week. But I really hate that I AGAIN should use gear that Bungie gave me, and not thing I earned. Leveling up again is stupid. And even if you try to spped up this process, you will meet huge RNG dick... I can't jump over 625 right now, but most of my gear 627-629 and only my boots are 615. I did all DC stuff and strikes and Ikora stuff and didn't get any boots...It's just stupid. I want tot play this game, I can find fun thisgs to do. But I want to play it my way, I dpn't want to care about another 50 light level points...

8 -blam!-en heavy powerful drops today, haven't even done forge today yet. No point. Waste of time
-
does Black armory "Story" even matter?? will it even be relevant by the time the Next "Content Drop" drops🤔, will it impact the game on the long run or even tie into future Lore or DLC??? like what exactly was the point of this new Raid?😕 probably the most Unique Boss we've ever seen in Destiny and i still couldn't care less if it lived or died causee.... i dont know🙁 seriously, im still trying to figure out why this DLC even exists, why was this even created, is this an off season april fools joke, im so confused

3 RisposteI am not necessarily bored of the same old chore, but I am pretty sick of the lack of rewards in this game. I can put up with the fact that Bungie's modes are pretty shallow, but they really need way more loot to even that out. Every vendor in the game should have got brand new armor and weapons this season. And I mean EVERY vender. There are not enough exotics in the game, and maybe it just feels that way because 90% of them are still irrelevant. They need to add Heroic Strike exclusive loot. They need to add Blind Well exclusive loot. Holy shit, Bungie. Add more loot into your -blam!-ing looter-shooter game already! It's pathetic how little there is. We need more perks. We need more mods. We need so much loot that a meta can't even exist.
-
Take a break.
-
Take a break? I've taken a bunch and it's way I'm still able to play this game.
-
1 RispondiYeah i stopped doing the heroic missions completely because i cannot stand them. I do strikes when the modifiers are fun like heavy or grenadier. Crucible i just mash the bittons and wait for the pain to be over. I can stomach one match of gambit occasionaly but that mode just makes md sad and irritated. Honestly i am not sure that i should still be playing. I like blind well and ep but finding a group is a pain.

Needs player agency.
-
For the last several days my powerful rewards have been giving me pieces with horrible light drops. The loot pool is terribly small. There are more drops in Eververse than in the current available loot table. This sucks
-
Yeeeeah, it’s getting stale
-
Actually, it didn't take me this long! I got bored as fuck from all of repetitive and mind numbing grind only 3 weeks after Forsaken has dropped, I left the game and never had the will/urge to come back yet. Now, I only visit the forums every other week to see if anything has changed. Sadly, no significant change yet!

5 RisposteLast destiny purchase for me. D2 has been such a rollercoaster of trash, more lows then highs. From launch of this game to Curse of Osiris complete disappointment. Warmind started to track to correct things and then the same with foresaken. The grind has become unenjoyable. The black armory is absolute bullshit I should have known better. I really want my money back.
-
1 RispondiThis is the only game where you spend the vast majority of your play time chasing a number. A number that is determined by RNG, a number that might be worse than the one you have, a number that prevents you from progressing in the game (both in power and in activities), and a number that is controlled on a microscopic level by Bungie. What happened to getting powerful by experience, and that power allowing you to use more powerful items, take on more powerful enemies, and progress in the game? I know that the grind is fundamental to the game, but when you complete an activity and get nothing for it, it feels like wasted time. At first, it's fun, because it's new. But after the 10th week of the same things, it's wasted time.
-
5 RisposteDoing the same thing across three characters is not only tedious but insanely boring
-
22 RisposteThe whole "grind for a higher power number" concept is archaic and stupid. It does nothing to change your gameplay, and it's not rewarding in the least. Destiny 2 learns too heavily on a subpar loot system to deliver the urge to play day after day. There aren't enough items, perks, and loadouts. The shooting has always been solid, but everything else has been less than that. These patches need to focus more on what people stay for: loot, customization, perks, and mods. It needs to be more varied. At the end of the day, I'm still pressing R2 to shoot bullets from a gun I've received way too many times. If I get a new gun it's just a different model of a gun I've had before with the same perks. Its just boring now.
-
1 RispondiAs long as they keep forcing players to play how they want and not how the player wants, this game will continue to suffer and people will continue to get bored. I'm on my third clan because everyone I know has stopped playing this game. Even my current clan has maybe 5% particiapation. When you continue to force people to play modes they don't want to to level up, lock leveling behind BS RNG, and think that people are having fun trying to do a Night Fall with two side arms and a grenade launcher while looking like a hot mess of random armor, you have failed as a company imo.
-
2 RisposteI agree, I could handle the grind if I could choose what I did, however, as you said we have to do certain activities for progression. I got to 580 ish, with the horror story AR, but gave up because of the forced activity grind and the decreasing benefit of having horror story. I came back to check the forums as BA released, but, clearly this expansion isn’t aimed at players like me as I need to be 615 plus to play it. Clearly no point in buying it as I won’t be able to play it. A very odd strategy by bungie, wanting to sell content which many players can’t play, and not addressing the progression issue, really very odd for a company with a reputation of wanting to monetise their game. I did log on for a couple hours, had a handful of powerful & prime engrams, advanced a light level, maybe 2, but the forced grind caused me to stop again. I like the game and would be happy to buy the pass, but bungie needs to sort out the progression before I commit any further money on this game.

I like the milestone system but at the same time I don't. Pros: -You know what you need to do and have a very clear goal list -You have a good idea of what you're getting Cons: -Can feel like a chore at times -Sometimes very very unrewarding (Poor RNG hence the need for smarter RNG) Like one other has pointed out personally for me its the lack of new rewards and stuff. Like why weren't more Gambit weapons added? Why wasn't there new Vanguard and Crucible armor or at least ornaments? Why is Ikora still useless? How about we give Hawthorne some clan specific gear? You know stuff like that.
