The People On The Forums Who Pull Of The Stat Card.
Half the time you look at their recent matches compared to your own, yours are better. That and who actually cares that much about stats in an online game? That shouldn't effect anyone to any degree in my opinion.
I just want to tell people to / git gud xD / for the memes but sensitive people gonna be sensitive.
Edit: wasn't expected this many people to respond other than trolls trying to troll a troll lol. It's nice to see people think the same about stats. <3

I don’t play to win. I play to have fun losing doesn’t bother me in a video game. I play the best I can each match but that’s it. I use HC and sniper always switching heavy from time to time. I’ve had people In my fireteam ask why I don’t get zones in control. My answer always is I’m forced to play control so I’ll play it how I want and idgaf if we win or lose 😂😂😂😂.

I agree. I like to think I'm a good player when I am well rested, focused, and free of distraction or interruption. That being said, I also play Crucible when I'm exhausted after working 11 hours, or after having my late-night smoke, or with my cat climbing all over my lap, or at my fiancée's place where I am forced to use a controller, so more often that not I'm just having fun and definitely not playing at my best or stressing about stats. Maybe it's a maturity thing, but worrying about my stats in this game seems really childish. Its a game, why care?

Time played matters the most, and a higher kd over a reasonable time played means that that player knows what is and isn't good in pvp, especially if they have a lot of high level comp matches or scrims played too. But, yes, you can't just whip out your kd and say "Ding dong your opinion is wrong listen to me now"

5 RisposteEveryone has the right to a opinion and I think everyone should be allowed to share their opinion. But I also think that we are allowed to bring up their stats if they show that their opinion is biased. Like if a player only has a Titan and a 0.5 KD and call for a nerf against Hunters or Warlocks. They’ve not played as a Hunter or a Warlock so they don’t know if they are legitimately OP or not and with a 0.5 KD they are going to be canon fodder for 3/4 of the community so everything to them seems OP.

I actually changed my play still and subclass and weapons to double almost my kd in recent 25 matches compared to my normal kd just to tell people telling me to git gud to get lost :D

TBH stats in D2 matter very little since matches are so rarely against equal opponents. Decisive win/loss almost always.

1 RispondiI don’t Destiny 2 stats to serious for a singular reason. Destiny 2 year 1 was such a hotmess I’m still recovering from it. Lemme explain. D1 I was an ape. I aped super hard and pretty efficient. Sniper was fun and maybe even through a fusion here and there. HELL I could run a sword if I wanted to, but D2 Y1? No never ever. Snipers were ballsacks, why run shot guns when you can have rocket launchers like Sins, and Fusions did they even exist? Did you think regardless of gun play, tactics, and skill you could play like you did in D1? No you couldn’t team shotting was king and it was something that got so many of my friends and me to have a NEGATIVE KD!! People I knew who did Trials carries and had 3.0 and higher were negative because we don’t like to be forced into one play style. Bit of our faults for not adapting but who really did? Then during the team shotting meta Graviton and Vigilance started to shred the meta. That was absurd. Point is as of now I’m recovering I’m almost at a 2.0 which is not where I’d like to be but it’ll prob take this entire year to fix my stats to what they once were. Personally I don’t think KD matters as much as it did in D1 or Elo. You could carry teams because D1’s point system let you, but you can’t really do it as much in D2 because it’s system is different.

Stats can point out liars or trolls. I especially like those that post saying they want a refund, then the stats show they have owned the game for 6 months and have 500 hours in it.

6 RisposteI don't think some people will ever understand that stats don't matter. A average player could have a 2.4 K/D because they just pubstomp in quickplay. A very good player could have a 1.05 K/D because they always play against other players of their skill level. There are many variables that go into K/D. Don't judge people based on an arbitrary number in a game.
