To the guy that said Nerfing Luna & Not Forgotten will not make so called trash cans good?
Ok... so you don't want a greater or larger player population? You want more average players to leave? Because that is what you are actually asking for in fact. And... done, it is happening, and when Bungie can't get enough players playing D2 never mind D3 failing to be profitable, when where is your perspective?
There is a reason why any and all games must be and should be scaled to the average players... it is the average players that generate the most significant profit for Bungie and thus Activision. So here is the idea, make SBMM work, so average players play other average players... where most will not have Luna or Not Forgotten.
And elites like yourself, can player other elites where you all have Luna and Not Forgotten. Thus you will not have bitch about your favorite weapons being nerfed.
And if you think a game can float on microtransactions... sorry but the historical profitability of such is a losing trend, such is dropping off across the gaming industry in that aggressive microtransactions hurt total profitability in the long term, this has proved true, for every game that has gone microtransaction aggressive.

1 RispondiJust stop playing that side activity and start playing the real game. They rarely advertise the crucible in Destiny. There's a reason for that. It's advertised with RPG elements. Quests, raids, etc are Destiny's future. The rest is for shits and giggles. Let the try hards try hard against each other.

7 RisposteYour thought process is what gave rise to D2 launch sandbox and it’s boring gameplay of camp with pulse or Graviton Lance. Casuals do NOT stay with a game for more than 3 months and then they move on. Average players are always the majority in PvP, how do you think top players rise to the top? They’re distinguished as such? This is not to say that they’re casuals but they’re average players who perform at average. No game survives by catering to the average or below average; you will lose your playerbase as exemplified by D2 y1... it was a casuals fantasy and they moved on. This is even further solidified by RPG-like nature of D1 setting expectations of rare loot and grinding. Luna is NOT out of reach for the average player. But you will not exceed in its use if you cannot consistently land precision shots. Stop for a second and put your mic on and try to get a team together rather than wandering around like a lost guardian searching for his light. Get on LFG or here and find a clan that will work with you. I have to say, Ace of Spades is a wet dream. It’s incredibly good at any range and can easily destroy Lunas at range or peek shooting from cover and has an incredible hit box. There are so many low skilled weapons that are easy to use right now and it’s not even funny.

2 RisposteOur population isn't going down at any unexpected rate, were several months into forsaken and people are bored, wait till next week when once again numbers will pop, pvp isn't making people leave, lack of new content is, especially with new games like rdr2, majority of the population doesn't care who they match, full teams, top 1%, luna users, they dont give af, they just want to shoot at stuff. SBMM is already in rumble, comp and banner, sorry but you cant have every playlist catered to your ineptitude. Particularly not the social or non-ranked one. You want close, even and competitive matches? Theres a playlist with that name on it, otherwise ve prepared to see where you fall out globally vs anyone and everyone.

2 RisposteIt doesn’t matter what Bungie does, the trash cans will be trash cans and will always complain about whatever kills them the most irrespective of logic. They will die repeatedly to: Shotguns because they cant position, back pedal and/or play on 3 sensitivity. Luna’s because they have no gun skill or can’t lane. Pulses for the same reason as Luna’s. Grenade launchers and snipers because they predictably push bad angles like a bot. Blade barrage because they run out in the open when the game tells you when the enemy has supers. (They probably don’t even know when the enemy has a super) They are the same people that died to SUROS, Vex Mythoclast, Thorn/TLW/Hawkmoon, MIDA, Uriel’s, Antioepe, GL and Vigilance wing. They will always cry about the meta because they are too deluded to realise that they just suck at the game.

1 RispondiHey that’s me!!! I’m the guy!!! Nerfing pinnacle weapons isn’t gonna make players stay. SBMM isn’t gonna make players stay. I’m all down for SBMM. As long as it works like Pinnacle weapons. If I’m top 1% I should be getting rewarded more in pvp than a top 60% player. But being top 1% my player pool is wayyyy smaller. Mix that in with when I decide to get on and play and I may end up waiting wayyy too long or play laggy matches way more often for no other reason than being good. All of this in QUICKPLAY. That isn’t quick. Quickplay already doesn’t take valor away. Powerful gear is just 5 matches not wins. Yet here we are... SBMM already failed hard in D1. And the same casuals that wanted it then asked for it to get reverted even quicker. SBMM in Quickplay will ONLY MAKE IT SWEATIER FOR EVERYONE. If the whole point is to make it less sweatier SBMM isn’t the answer. If the whole point is “meta” nerfs isn’t the answer.

I outgun people that have not forgotten using west of sunfall 7. The problem with this community is people literally blaming everything on their deaths instead of the individual sitting down.. realizing they are bad.... and starting to learn why they died so they can adapt and improve. Anywho "elites" already play each other... it's called comp.... there is all the sbmm you could ever want there. It's nice to go into quickplay however with -blam!- loadouts like a bow and a sidearm/ fighting lion sidearm and be able to do just fine while relaxing.

Ace of Spades is a great gun to use if you don't have Not Forgotten. I'd put it ahead of luna on bigger maps. Its even more nice after its little buff. Average players already got the AoS questline nerfed.

Lol people with a .8 to .9 kd can get the Luna. It’s really not hard to get just time consuming.

1 RispondiLol, the gun isn't difficult to get. If you can't get it, you don't deserve it. If you don't want to be killed by it, don't play PvP. Bungie can't cater to the casuals anymore, Activision made that clear and they have a contract to fulfill. You know what will kill this game, breach of contract.

Anyone with half a brain can get Luna's. We DESERVE a weapon better than Luna's for being able to reach Legend. It's easy math.

So, I see what you are saying here, but also see the other side. People seem to have different opinions on what casual is. From a market stand point a casual player is usualy someone who plays the campaign and then drops off, maybe plays a few crucible matches here and there or the occasional strike or two but Destiny is not their go to game. If you aim a game at those players, we go back to D2 year one where there wasnt nearly as much to grind for. The game was still fun, but it didnt hold your attention. I went back to playing skyrim after i beat COO and it wasnt till warmind came out that i started to really play every day again. I dont speak for everyone but i speak for many when i say. if we wanted a casual shooter, one where you play the campaing and then just play pvp from now and then. Wed all be playing halo or cod, not destiny

I’m gonna watch some tv... I’m tuning in to the LA Lakers vs some generic high school team. Should be what Bungie considers a “fair matchup”. (Pvp matchmaking in D2 is awful)
