The new Quest is Time Gated....
They just never learn, do they? Forget the fact most people didn't like the artificial longevity of other time gated content before, let's do it again...
It's true.. after you do stage 1 of the Quest you are now forced to wait an amount of time for the next stage... we got literally 2 min of content which wasn't content any different than what was already in the game, just pick up 10 drops. I think many of us were under the impression this quest would be more of a uh... story quest...
I am not here moaning about not having rewards right away - I'm disappointed because I thought me and my friend would have a QUEST to do together... what we got instead was a glorified, timegated Patrol.

3 RisposteDidn't even tried it :D When I got back from work Fallout 76 beta started and it was so good I will probably never touch Destiny ever again ... right now I am downloading Fallout 4 to fill the void between the betas ... Bungo being bungo again with new content ... time gated hahahahahah (laughs in West Virginia accent) ...

So how are we going to be able to purchase the Prince Mask if this quest won’t be completed for a few weeks to come?

Fix the weapon system, wreck the Crucible by deleting matchmaking. Restore our Guardian's voice, have him fall silent after 9 words. Bring back Thunderlord, timegate it. So much "good news, bad news" going on.

7 RisposteIs that the Malfeasance one? For me it seems to be time gated for when the gun is irrelevant, so whenever D3 comes out. Played all night since patch, and no meatball spawn. I dont believe Bungie buffed anything.

EDIT: For people who don't know what quest I'm talking about, it's part of the Festival of the Lost, the quest was added in today's patch and an be "accessed" from Amanda Holiday. I'd say it's about 90% odds that this is going to be a weekly thing where you do trash each week for the next five weeks until the black armory drops, then you'll have to do stuff like put in a special code on the wish wall that looks like a middle finger and then run the last wish 300 times solo without dying or returning to orbit to actually unlock the final weapon. Okay the last parts a joke but I don't think we're going to be rewarded with the thunder lord next week or the week after, this is just leading into the next event, I don't think they're ready to drop lmgs until then.

I'll repeat my statement without the "harsh wording, insults and disrespect" --- Bungie said this will be a weekly thing in the previous TWAB Oct 10th. Stop playing this game and play something else for awhile. I guarantee you'll stop caring. I've already made the transition myself and I've never been happier as my expectations have been drastically lowered.

1 RispondiI would appreciate it if no one attacked me, but honestly I'm ok with it being time gated, what I don't like however is how easy and lame this first step is. Hopefully the next steps have to do something with Festival (If Festival will still be around), or it'll be something really fun and enjoyable.

Step 1: Do a public event get clues, now the clues point to losts sectors on the edz do that! o look more clues go do a new adventure we made for this event! now come back in a week once we have looked at all these clues!! Step 2: Data points to a lost sector on the reef this is what we have work out which lost sector it is!! complete lost sector now the clue's point you towards the prison break story mission do that!! ok now it seems like prisoners with more clue went to the dreaming city do public events there!! come back next week once we look at all these clues!! Step 3: Clue point to a nightfall on the reef go do that! now clues point towards other guardians knowing what happened!! go kill 25 guadians in pvp! Finally all the clue's make sense and we have found a new adventure on the EDZ go catch the killer!! So yeah much longer quest that uses 90% content in the game apart from two new adveture 1 in step 1 to set the scene and another in step 3 to wrap it up this is how you do a time gated quest!

Agreed, this quest should of started on the first week of FoL with the same kind of timegating so we can focus on the haunted forest and the third week could of ended off with the final quest mission. On the other note, is it kind of annoying that we know what the end goal of the quest is? If the leaks weren't existent would we actually not be bothered by the timegating and be little bit more interested for each weekly reset? For anyone who doesen't know what I'm talking about, don't investigate any furthur, it's better if you don't know. Hell, stop looking into the comments and LEAVE NOW, BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!!
