Met the worst guardian ever today
Playing Gambit this morning. First round we summoned our prime and killed it with no problems. Other team barely had 1/3 of their motes.
Second round was considerably more difficult, which isn't really a surprise. It's obvious the game is set up that way.
Third round. The third round was terrible. Waves kept spawning but we couldn't get our prime. I thought it was maybe the invasions. We finally hear that we can summon a prime evil. The other team's prime was half dead but it wasn't impossible to come back. Everyone banks and there's still someone out on the field. Look around and see a hunter jump onto the center platform , dance in front of the bank, wave and then....HE JUMPED OFF THE PLATFORM WITH 14 MOTES!
Round ends. Post match screen comes up and he lost 60 motes.
I'm speechless. It's been bothering me all morning. I may not be able to play Gambit anymore without being triggered.
EDIT: for everyone thinking that I'm literally experiencing PTSD over this, I was joking. Didn't think an over the top statement like that needed a sarcasm tag, my bad. 😁

1 RispondiI hate the guys that never leave the spawn don't shoot don't bank. Just spin in a circle. Bungie should put in something so if you don't kill or bank you don't get credit for the game.

Totally agree!!! I hate people like that. As bad a quitting matches halfway through. People out there just to troll and ruin other people's experience. Terrible. That being said... I friggen LOVE the gambit mode!

This remind me of that one game I’ve lost around 50 motes in one game. Not proud of it. But learned a great lesson that day. If you feel sleepy dont play another game just go straight to bed. But I still somehow banked the same amount, maybe around 45. So yeah it was weird.

How? They steal my motes I steal the heavy (they never seem to go for it anyways). I grab 5-10 motes never pushing it after 5 just so I don't loose them, I bank them rinse repeat as fast as possible, When the prime comes out I let the Invader have their way as it means nothing. I wait for the Prime to stack, I unleash my super, take a round with my EP Shotty, jump back and let me Sleeper waste the Prime. I usually have >70% of the damage on the Prime (I should I took the heavy). But now thanks to shitty players whining their worthless mouths off, Sleeper is getting ammo nerfed in Gambit meaning running Gambit will be a worthless endevour. Do I waste my Sleeper on an invader, almost never no as I know if I know where the invader is I can melt the Prime faster then worrying about the invader if I'm close yo killing the Prime and the invader is getting to close, say hasta la vista baby. Nerfing the ammo will not change that. In fact if I play to kill invaders I'll run my Queeney or my god roll rocket launcher, both are faster, easier and more guaranteed (in my really poorly functioning hands) Oh incase you think I'm 'one of those guys' that never deal with the blockers. Yea, sorry your wrong. EP Shotty with a melee warmup wastes even the ogres ultra fast. If the bank is not up I can't bank nor can my team, so I take them out as much as possible as it only takes a couple of minutes. But note for those that think its safe to rush in with >2 blockers, NO its not. Again sleeper or an extra several seconds safely taking them down or out from a distant and/or cover solves that problem. Crappy players will stay away from the blockers trying to get more motes (and usually die and loose all the kills and motes in the process) so taking out the blockers AFAP is the best play possible.

5 RisposteBet he had a mask on. Too many people who don't want to be there being forced to because of that bounty. Side note, legendary is brutal. Seems that a lot of people don't want to shoot the primevil. It's baffling to me.

1 RispondiWe had a guy in our game the other night try and push their way into the Heavy Ammo. When they didn't get it, they did the sit emote and messaged my buddy to call him names for getting the heavy ammo.

Ah yes. Had that happen last time I played Gambit. What was worse? When we finally summoned the Primeval it was the Riven Servitor thing for the Malfeasance quest and the opposing team already had their boss almost dead.

3 RispostePlaying with a clanmate a few weekends ago we had been grouped with another pair from a different clan these guys would constantly invade which is fine but they died right away. Not bank motes unless the had 20 plus. Turns out by the end of the match they had lost over 100 between the 2 of them

I played with a random that got 40 motes and lost 35 motes, thanked him for the 5 whole motes he gave but I think I'll stick to running 4-stacks
