Met the worst guardian ever today
Playing Gambit this morning. First round we summoned our prime and killed it with no problems. Other team barely had 1/3 of their motes.
Second round was considerably more difficult, which isn't really a surprise. It's obvious the game is set up that way.
Third round. The third round was terrible. Waves kept spawning but we couldn't get our prime. I thought it was maybe the invasions. We finally hear that we can summon a prime evil. The other team's prime was half dead but it wasn't impossible to come back. Everyone banks and there's still someone out on the field. Look around and see a hunter jump onto the center platform , dance in front of the bank, wave and then....HE JUMPED OFF THE PLATFORM WITH 14 MOTES!
Round ends. Post match screen comes up and he lost 60 motes.
I'm speechless. It's been bothering me all morning. I may not be able to play Gambit anymore without being triggered.
EDIT: for everyone thinking that I'm literally experiencing PTSD over this, I was joking. Didn't think an over the top statement like that needed a sarcasm tag, my bad. 😁

3 RisposteDamn so let me get this straight. Thanos plays destiny 2,but but whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather, he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank just outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

Only problem I've ever had is going in with a friend, the other guys on our team were together.. They then stood by and did absolutely nothing but messaged me because I grabbed a couple motes. To then go and apparently report me for being afk after they did nothing the entire match just made me angry. I hardly go in with less than 3 fireteam members (including myself.) The fact they continued to message me during the match just.. It was frustrating.

The only time I ever was being a jerk, is when ppl push me out the way of heavy then end up dying. Or they see me tether, dont help and just run for motes and leave me with the rest of the ads to clear. Or worse take heavy and not a single damn player wants to help take a blocker out. Now this may NOT be the case for every1, there are some real jerks out there lol. Theres also 1 other little possible reason, and that's when you Q up for gambit [happened to me and my fireteam] one person from your fireteam for some reason gets put on the opposite team to balance out lol. Guess they needed 1 more to be a 4 vs 4. And usually that 1 person messes around to make their team lose.

Not gambit story but on xol strike I sparrow bumped a random over the ledge..felt like we’re sparrow racing..he or she immediately left..I did feel like a aśś hat for it.

I haven’t had that experience but did play a match where someone lost more than 40 motes. I get 5 and bank because I’m simply not very good and I don’t want to let the team down..

It’s about common sense. I solo gambit and you get the feel of the other players and do the opposite of it. If I see whole team running down to grab notes. I will guard bank and take out ads and kill ads so my guys can just grab the notes. And when portal opens I usually invade. But if I see a guy doing what I said I do. I’ll run into the abyss and grab the shit

Gambit is the worst game mode ever I really don't think Bungle play tested it passed "everything works ship it". There is absolutely no balance at all. Getting mapped by someone with an over shield having absolutely no idea where they are is the dumbest thing ever. Bounties and quests that promote selfish game play yet reward a pathetic amount of tank points. Catch up mechanics that make us better to be the 2nd team to spawn the boss. Gambit is the most rage-inducing thing in Destiny I can't -blam!-ing stand it.

I won a game with a teammate that lost 70 motes. I got 20 invading kills trying to balance out the scales. It just made me realise that Gambit is really not fun and that I was making the other team miserable by constantly invading because we had a teammate that was just the worst ever. After I got the Malfeasance I just stopped playing it for good.
