I played about 10 matches of Gambit yesterday and in almost half someone on my time kept trying to get 15 motes whenever we need literally 5 for the Primeval and they were all high in power. I lost every round someone did this. If you're one of those people and you see this please just for the sake of us all just deposit motes... it's not hard.
Edit: Gambit also boils down to your luck of getting heavy ammo to use something op. ( *Cough* *Cough* Sleeper, Queens breakers, and 1k Voices) I'm not saying I want them nerfed but they are indeed op.

I think a small part of the problem is players playing with the volume down on the monitor. I can clearly hear the Drifter saying "you've got enough motes to summon a prime evil, bank those motes!" But playing with a clanmate last night, he didn't hear it because his monitor was muted.

It’s the bounties. Nice little Bungie troll people fall for to get the smallest amount of rep lol
-
3 RisposteI’m 600 power now and don’t play Gambit, so I’m one less pleb that you have to worry about. I didn’t do it on purpose, it’s just so easy to space out when you’re not playing with friends. Gambit got boring really quickly to me, so I would literally just shut my brain off and do the stuff to get the thing. Sorry dude. I think your gripe is with Bungie for forcing me in there, to be honest. Again, I never purposely sabotaged a match, but I got so bored that my eyes glassed over and I just went through the motions. Just pray that Bungie doesn’t tie loot to Gambit again in the future or else I’ll be back.

Modificato da Silent Syzygy: 10/24/2018 7:08:01 PMSo true! Like why are you trying to stack 15 motes when the other team has already dropped enough to invade? That bounty isn't worth it man! You know they are about to invade and you'll be the first with a bulls eye on your head. They are about to steamroll you and there is nothing your scrub ass can do about it. You can literally take down an ogre with about 6 shots from an ikelos shotty with trench barrel. So just drop your motes.
-
Sorry but Bungie want it this way as they keep spewing out bounties, quests and triumphs that goes against the objective of the game. So, ppl just care about finishing their own goal not the team objective.
-
2 RisposteIs this another gambit post about a solo queuer crying about a 4 stack?

1 RispondiModificato da mpuchar: 10/24/2018 4:41:07 PMObvious 3 main rules of gambit Stop everything and immediately bank when the grey bar is full, regardless of how many motes you have. Don't invade the second an opponent's prime has just been summoned. And never die to the adds.
-
2 RisposteAre we really going to NOT talk about that solo guy that invades and dies within 0.2 seconds? Won't let anyone else IN the portal or to grab heavy, but literally seconds after he invades he dies, then comes back to try and gather 15 motes before jumping back in with 13 without banking?!??
-
Aside from weekly bounties, I'm pretty much done with Gambit for awhile. Finished up the Malfeseance quest yesterday. Pretty much lost every match but got the invader kills I needed (yeah, I had to be that douche camping out in front of the portal). But, yeah, people are idiots and that's why I hate playing Gambit.
-
3 RisposteOh oh oh! What about the idiot who collects 15 then goes and Intentionally dies. .... Had that happen a couple times. Cost us the match and then the game.
-
16 RisposteI wish people would help clear the blockers and not just hide because they are waiting for someone else to do it
-
Bounties encourage sandbagging as well as greedily collecting. They really should be more team focused objectives.
-
The worst is when you see a guardian go over to the other side carrying motes that they could have deposited first. You literally have to pass right by the area to deposit them.
-
5 RisposteModificato da Black Howling: 10/24/2018 2:42:31 PMThe guy who slides around and grabs all the Motes, takes the heavy, doesn't bank, doesn't kill the Invader, and then dies to a red bar... I know this guy all too well... There's like one in every solo match.
-
9 Risposte
Gambit also boils down to your luck of getting heavy ammo to use something op. ( *Cough* *Cough* Sleeper, Queens breakers, and 1k Voices) I'm not saying I want them nerfed but they are indeed op.
Doesn't it drop at regular intervals in the center?
-
Or they need to play smart. Need 15 motes? Equip a roaming super, hang back and snipe for your buddies on first wave you have super full, then when next wave hits RUN HARD, pop super, lay waste and get your motes FAST then turn them in. When I use blade dancer and I strategize I can get to the next area well before my team and have over 10 motes in seconds. It’s really the only good way and safest way to get the motes unless you’re on a team where everyone helps each other.
-
Also revive players if possible,I've had players not revive me,grab a few motes then move on,it saves so much time, ideally I'd be better off not dying but hey we all do.
-
1 RispondiBest one is when someone has 14 motes and goes for one more and then invader kills him 😂😂😂😂👌👍
-
I like when I kill all 4 people with 10+ motes using the malfeasance. No fusion rifle needed. Some advice to those people large blockers arent hard to kill at all it's the smalls with those damn shields. But play how you want because I'm having fun watching someone quit after losing 15 motes. 🤪
-
Or when all they do is try to get 15 instead of banking 5 to 10. Idiots dont realize that 4 phalanx's or 2 knights and 2 phalanx's is more of a pain in the ass that 1 ogre. Stop saving for 15 unless you are literally 1 off after the first wave of ads!

No *bass boost*
-
One way to stop that is add skill match making players that deposits motes and die less are more experience so they should match make with those kinda players

14 RisposteModificato da STEVE NEUROTIC: 10/24/2018 2:04:35 PMHad this happen several times yesterday. The last time it happened I lost my streak and I was raging pissed, so I sent a message to the a-hole. Me: Thanks for losing the game for us all, and ruining my streak. The Drifter said "Bank those motes, it's time for a Primeval!!!" , yet you just HAD to go for those 15 motes. I even shot at you and the bank for 20 seconds while the bank was wide open and you kept running around. Then by the time you got your precious 15, the enemy sent over a shit load of blockers, the enemy invaded, and you lost your motes. Him: Jag off, I had a bounty. I'll do what I want. Me: Screw your bounty. You lost your motes and cost us the game, so you suck at bounties! Play the damn objective or go do patrols on the EDZ, you dolt. No response. To those who would defend that guy and think i'm wrong for saying what I said: If you haven't heard... a lot of people are hard at work, trying to get Esports recognized as an official sport and into the Olympics by 2024 in China. The IOC are in talks about it. It's already been decided it'll be a medal sport in the 2022 Asian Games which is a huge step. Do you think Basketball, Hockey, Football, Baseball, etc. players, play how they want? No. They play the F-ing objective. To win the game/match. If they didn't, their team would probably beat the crap out of them in the locker room.
-
"Sorry, but I dropped my wallet on the other side of the map."
-
The only reason i can think of would be the Gambit Bounty's some of them need you to send Large Blockers to the other side bounty's such as the Blockade bounty. Some would not want to play a other round of gambit so they go off to get more motes All in all this dusn't help with the team play of gambit where team play is key

Modificato da TotalDramaGamer: 10/24/2018 3:24:47 PMAll the randoms are just trying to get the triumph for having a whole team bank 15 motes at the same time. True story.
Yes, that's an actual triumph. It's one of the two team based hidden ones.
