I will say the 1st couple of weeks the DLC was great but the grind just isn't fun....It's repetitive and tedious...I do like the direction they took but the infusion and the slowing down of progression is just to much of a boring time sink....I like grinding in games but I like the grind to be fun and rewarding.....EP needs matchmaking.....Blind Well needs matchmaking....Loading screens are so long it makes me want to shove something sharp up my PeeHole.....On average from the time I click the Destiny Icon it takes 8 to 10 minutes before I get into a PvP match and 30% of the time I load into an eternal loading scene.....Read Dead Redemption 2 is out soon.....Can't wait for that

When I see the term, “meaningful choice” I remember the receipt for this expansion (oh, and the annual pass!), the money I’ll never get back, and how I for really real wouldn’t have bought it had I known the progression and loot economy would be this stupid. Now, how about, instead of artificially extending the life of a game with Ascendant Materials v2.0, just put in a little work to make it better to begin with? Honestly, that would be a preferable long-term strategy than...whatever this is. And another thing: eight Edge Transits in four days? Too bad I need 12 masterwork cores and 60 legendary shards to infuse those into my useful exotic power weapons. Wow.

This isn't a video game, it is a digital abomination and a Perpetual identity crisis in motion.

What is stupid is that in their effort to push how long content lasts, they make the content become stale. D1 was repetitive, but I always felt like I could benefit from playing within the context of character progression. This just feels like spinning my wheels and getting only the slightest amount of traction. The only reason I’m not using the same weapons and armor is solely because doing so would put me at a disadvantage. If they has brought them forward within the new system, I would still be using them most likely. As it stands, I probably won’t be changing guns/armor much once I get what I want, which on my warlock is 99% done. One piece of armor just needs a slightly better roll, but is not a concern. And because the milestone system is kinda crap, it start to weigh the game down. I said it when D2 came out after playing for about a week. I don’t think Bungie actually wants to be involved anymore and would probably cut and run if it didn’t make money still.

"Meaningful choices" and timegating content seem to be what Bungie's best at. Personally I think the current system just serves to make the vast majority of loot drops unexciting, like if I get a rare or legendary drop I'd rather be thinking "oh sweet possible upgrade" rather than "oh look more to dismantle". Bungie literally already gave us good long term stuff to grind for to give us a sense of accomplishment with the collections and triumphs, so i just wish they'd make rewards feel rewarding again. (Aside from the bungie rewards that you can buy)

Not only this is very true. It also comes from a Jedi and a Ninja, so fix it already! Jokes aside, Every day that passes, I'm losing my will to continue playing based on thinking that my time investment is pointless for most of the time.

When I hear 'meaningful choice' I associate that with games like Mass Effect and Dragon Age. It should be called a prolonged and manipulative grind. As much as I enjoy Destiny at the moment I can see through the PR speak.

I agaree with the post, i dont think its should ever go back to vanilla d2 but at least in the middle. not everyone has sevral hours a day to grind there ass off to get half the lame gear thats dropping hoping for a god roll, not everyone plays the game like the streamers do who are the ones that rip through all content and then moan there is nothing to do that gets half the community on there side so Bungie has to then do something and we end up with a game that the othe rhalf of the community cant play like they woiuld like too. Its a space shoot them up with way to many things that have popped into the game oer the last month, there is that much now to do after the main campaign is done that i am lossing intrest in logging in, i find mysel logging in when i can just to do power gear missions just to increase my light level so i can try to get anywhere near the stupidly locked behind high power level exotic missions, progression in d2 now is way slower then it ever was in the whole of d1. Bungie has no idea how to find the middle ground with 2 sides of the fence complaining who do you listen too? well the answer is both, dont cater just for the hard core streamers they are there to get paid via there streams, and dont full on cater for players like me slow players who play 2 to 3 times a week, go middle ground spead up the progression alittle get some exotics dropping in game not just via missions all the time and do something about keeping the game on middle ground for everyone.
