Is The EP Shotgun Still Worth Grinding For?
So I missed out on obtaining this during the Warmind era. If I took the time to search for a team and farmed for the Ikelos_SG would it be worth it? Like, is it still the powerhouse it once was?

Finally around like 20 attempts later I’ve finally got it!

Definitely worth it. I recently got mine just before this week's reset.(Technically after. We killed last week's boss ~2 minutes after reset.) Don't know how I functioned without it!

I don't have it, but every time I see a team in Gambit with a couple of those equipped, I know that's the winning team. They're that good.

2 RisposteYes. Got mine on a lucky non-chest drop with some randos last week, did the first step for Chaperone in 2 games (and I suck at PvP...the rest of that quest is less fun). The Ikelos SG is a monster in PvE, my Titan runs it a LOT. Now if they'd just let the armor drop as well...I don't have the mats for a single key, let alone the time/interest in grinding EP forever, but that armor looks NICE.

1 RispondiYup, definitely, being infusing this midnight coup and sleeper/whisper the whole time too. Despite the random rolls and God rolled weapons I have, these four are a must have for the current end game

6 RisposteSure. I got all the EP guns in one sitting and farming the boss. I've got 2 of each and 2 pieces of armor. Can't get any of the key fragments to drop anymore though, so the chest at the end remains forever locked :.(

ABSOLUTELY... I got lucky and it only took me an hour... so worth it... PLUS, if you are a fan of the Exigent Armor line, I got 4 out of 5 pieces in the same timeframe... worth it!

8 RisposteThis week the wave 7 boss just drops shotty so it's the best week to grind for it! However it does take a few runs to get a drop, I got mine yesterday after about 20 runs.

Yes, it's still the best shotgun in the game. I'll be grinding for it again this week, plus you get prime engrams along the way.

Yes. Both in its own right and for the Prime Engrams while grinding for it. You'll also likely get some clan points along the way if you do it with at least one clanmate.

Sure it is. Nothing about it changed except it is now a special weapon and it can only be solar. It still is effected by Tractor.

2 RisposteIt’s difficult to beat Trench Barrel in terms of damage. I need to test more for myself but so far I’ve had much better results with EP shotty than any Forsaken shotguns (even with a major spec or boss spec mods).
