The infusion system seems to tag along the idea of making D2,year 2 even more grindy. However, is it overkill? A single infusion, if your inventory is rough, can cost as much as 9000 glimmer, 15 exotic shards, a handful of masterwork cores, AND 25 of a random planetary resource. Yes, the idea of encouraging a more versatile loadout is provoked, but holy code of the missle, my opinion, the infusion requirements are just a bit far to extrenuous! I feel myself making yet another early season departure from destiny if this doesnt get fixed as this over time could be become even more annoying.
Anyone else think the infusion system is asking for to much?

12 RisposteIt should be: 5000 Glimmer 10 Legendary Shards 10 planetary material There’s no reason MASTERWORK CORES should be used for anything except MASTERWORKING a weapon.
-
2 RisposteIt was obviously made by streamers for streamers who play 8+ hours a day. Not many working adults and especially those with families would think this is a good thing. Hell, I bet the youngin's are also having trouble with this while trying to have a life. It's out of balance for sure. Who the hell wants to have to keep going to planets to gather material! A freaking harvest simulator when Spider isn't selling what you need.

7 RisposteModificato da BoomboxCollosus: 9/18/2018 10:44:49 PMThe old infusion system was the only actually GOOD thing from this past year and they, of course, found a way to screw that up. Indeed. From simple to overkill in one day. All the content in this game and they STILL manage to ruin the fun with tedious nonsense. This is the most undependable game I've ever played. I doubt I'll ever do the raid and I have NO incentive to grind again just to be reset in a few months. This game simply is NOT fun anymore, it's over the top tedium and unnecessarily changing BASE game economy to screw things up. We need a Halo or Anthem soon to save us from this sci fi shooter HELL. I think 4 years is long enough to figure out WTF this game is. There's NO excuse for this kind of perpetual identity crisis this late in the game. There's no hope here anymore. my last purchase from Bungie and thank god Anthem is out this winter. At LEAST it will be something different than this limp, wishy washy, ongoing trash fire. The only 2 things I walk away with knowing for sure. Bungie will ALWAYS eff things up because of integrated PVP fairness BS and they will NEVER nail down a solid , dependable loot system. This next gen group at Bungie have learned NOTHING from their predecessors.

5 RisposteAll they'd have to do is simply remove Masterwork Cores from infusion...but no. After THOUSANDS of players have posted and voted to have Masterwork Cores removed from infusion in the last 2 weeks...Bungie wont do it. ONE streamer said "infusion should mean something"...so Bungie added Masterwork Cores to infusion ...remember...streamers know better than all of us...ONE streamers opinion is worth more than THOUSANDS of the rest of us.

4 RisposteYup, after just 2 weeks i´m starting to get really bored with this infusing system, in fact it is my biggest grip with the game right now. I´m ok with the materials, glimmer and shards but not with masterwork cores, they should never been introduced in the infuse system. Bungie keeps forgetting that 99% of the playerbase are not professional players.
-
5 RisposteYeah, I’ve been running sidearm, sub machine, and transit for about 90% of my gameplay so far. Literally my least favorite weapons. They should get rid of the MC cost for infusion.
-
Yes like everything else, Bungie over does it!!! The really screwed Fido on this one!!!
-
Modificato da vmondude: 9/20/2018 8:38:44 PMYeah, I understand it needs to be more important and carefully applied, but this has gone a bit too far. Masterwork cores need to be easier to get, just a little bit. I get what they’re doing but it’s been dialled up to 14 instead of 10

It's kind of killing my will to play. I keep pulling these cool weapons and armor that I want to use for Iron Banner, but they punish me for using them because I either have to spend a ton of resources or dunk my light level.
-
4 RisposteI agree they are asking way too much for infusion. 1st masterwork cores are meant for master working items that's there purpose, why would you require them for infusion? 2nd why 25 planetary materials that's a little too much, it should be something more like 10. You could also require less legendary shards because not everyone has a huge stack of 5,000 like some people. If you make it all about the few people who actually stayed with this game since the start then you're going to make it too overwhelming for the new players who are just coming into the game since it's actually starting to get good with forsaken and the new weapon system.
-
Remove the Masterwork Core requirement. Seriously, the infusion system suck and forcing people to use bad rolled weapons isn't going to help build diversity
-
Too much grind ! And so little time ! On my spare time all i do is play destiny but don't have time to do other stuff so im giving up on destiny because it's not health ! Forsaken is beautiful but too grindy ! Bye bugie bye Destiny !
-
at least nothing will hold me back from playing Red dead2 and fallout 78 , thx bungo
-
I think EVERYBODY thinks it is rediculous!
-
It's downright idiotic. There was nothing wrong with infusion in Year 3 of D1. It didn't need to be changed.
-
7 RisposteIts over-engineered, and was not designed to be a reasonable investment system. It was designed to do two things: 1. Make infusion so prohibitively expensive that it effectively FORCES a reboot of the game's gear system, without Bungie having to come out and do it directlyl....and take the public relations hit for it like they did back in 2015 with The Taken King. 2. To force hardcore players like myself to burn through their stockpiles of materials and currency, and put Bungie back in control of progression. The problem is that when you do things like that, you shoot yourself in the foot as a developer. 1. People are sensing that the system is ridiculous, and can see the effect that it's deliberately slowing down progression and limiting our ability to bring the weapons we want forwards. So Bungie isn't fooling anyone on the first point. 2. On the second point, when you try to slow down the hardcore players, all you do is inconvenience them. All its done is make me selective about what I infuse...and I'm still sittin on a stockpile of shards and MW cores in my vault. But what Bungie has done is create a system that is absolute backbreaking to the casual player and the new player. Essentially locking them OUT of using the infusion system because they can't get the materials necessary (esp. the MW cores) necessary to make use of it. The cost is too high, and the materials are too rare.

This is me being 100% honest: I don't know W.T.F they did, and at this point, I really don't G.A.S.

1 RispondiModificato da PrimitiveAK: 9/19/2018 7:16:59 PMBungie did it on purpose, they knew people were stacking masterwork cores pre-launch for forsaken and wanted to make a way for people to burn through them as fast as possible. Stupid move. They will change it. They just wanted enough time for people to have less masterwork cores now. Not falling for it. I'll infuse when i absolutely have to and I'll wait for a fix on it. Just make it glimmer and legendary shards. Hell, even increase the legendary shard requirements to 20+ if you have to. I have almost 6,000 shards and i don't know what else to use them on.
-
Cores should be masterworking weapons not infusing for light
-
honestly wouldn't bother infusing till your doing the raid. it feels alot at the moment but if you have the expansion spider sells most of it on rotation and once you hit max level it will be an abundance of everything because you won't be using it much. overall it slows the pace of the game so I don't think it's too bad
-
They could use the scrapper bounties to give masterwork cores as rewards along with upping the drop chance of that consumable? The infusion system seems expensive because there isn’t a fair balance in receiving them on the otherside of the equation.
-
I am ok with everything except for the masterworks cores. As a result I have probably 30 or so hours into Foresaken and I have yet to infuse a single thing. Classic case of Bungo knows better than it's community.
-
What do you mean " a little bit?"
-
A masterwork core should not be used for infusion, only masterworking, hence the name. I’m sure bungie is aware that most players are crying out for the removal of this but I have a feeling they will keep the requirement around for a few more weeks to add to progression slow down.
