I don't want to be the buzzkill here, I know many of us don't want to see things nerfed but this, my dudes is ridiculous. It can one shot you from anywhere on the map, body or head it doesn't matter. The invading player can see your location which gives them time to charge it up and one shot you. How is this not considered broken?
I could "get gud" or whatever but getting good still does not make gambit fun if I have to be paranoid that every invader is running sleeper. Yes, I could run sleeper too. I could go around one shotting invaders and defenders all day but that still does not fix the issue. If the only way to counter sleeper is sleeper that's a problem. I'm not saying nerf sleeper into the ground but it needs some tweaks, it's just not fun playing Gambit anymore when there is such an easy way to dominate the field.
I know many of you will fire back at this post because a lot of you most likely love sleeper and use it yourselves. However, I really want you to take a step back and remove your bias to really look at this weapon and then give your opinion on it.

6 RisposteModificato da SniperFrog161: 9/14/2018 4:56:06 PMI have been killed exactly one time in Gambit by invaders using sleeper. Rockets are far worse because they don't actually have to hit you. Sleeper is fine. Change your strategy on hunting invaders. If you expose yourself too much a WotW will kill you just as easily. It sounds like you are over-aggressive and your team doesn't know how to collapse on invaders. Well said, Scott da Pirate! Now let's get on to important things like the broken masterworks economy and the Last Wish raid.

15 RisposteYeah I literally read your first line and that’s enough. 😭🍼 will pretty much sum the rest up. Learn to hide, if you hide it forces the invader to close the gap. Heavy weapons are the most powerful weapons in the game and should stay that way. You babies really need to stop crying for nerfs. You guys won’t be happy til pvp is non contact. You could always use sleeper yourself but then you probably don’t want to switch out your load out yet you expect others to be punished for theirs. Wise up!!!!
-
For me it's pretty simple. You can have a gun that one-shots on a graze or you can have a wall-hack that pinpoints your opponent's exact location. One, not both.

Modificato da Xenomorph: 9/14/2018 9:49:21 PMI read everything you said. Leave Sleeper alone. Why? Because it has its place, it's an apex predator, and even in nature, if you remove the apex predator another will take its place. Then what? Get rid of that one too? Accept that it is what it is and learn how to counter it. Besides, I've been killed by as many Sniper rifles in Gambit as I have Sleepers... Should I complain about those now too? This is why we can't have nice things.

8 RisposteModificato da BashfulCannibal: 9/14/2018 7:38:10 PMThese posts are getting old! Learn to counter the damn gun! This is the first step in the game going back to shit. I also can assure you, that since one hit should charge is back, skullfort will be the next exotic this forum and reddit goes after.

You know, I’ve played a lot of gambit recently and haven’t seen one sleeper stimulant. Haven’t died from one or seen it being used but maybe once or twice. I don’t see a problem with it anyway, it’s an easy gun to get. So if you find it uneven or unbalanced, just pull yours out. Learn to improve and become skillful against it. It isn’t the end of the world people.

1 RispondiSo you blame a weapon that was available two extra contents ago? Warmind and Forsaken for a poorly thought an unexpected outcome of an specific mode? Its gambits problem not Sleeper Simulants. I dont like getting melted by it too. Should the gun suffer for it? NO how about fixing the gambit.
-
1 RispondiWhy o why do we have to keep getting these same complaints about nerfs. I bet I'm not the only person sick of weapons getting trashed just cause some snowflake gets killed by it a match and loses.
-
3 RisposteSleeper Simulant users are easy kills for The Queenbreaker.
-
7 RisposteNo, it's not. People refusing to admit that they dont know how to counter it are though. Hey, we just got invaded. That person might have a Sleeper, and can totally see where I'm at, but if I stand here and shoot the Primeval, they probably wont shoot me just because the same logic that tells me to just stand here told me that. Oh no, he shot me! Damn Sleeper, I'm going to complain on the forums about it!
-
1 RispondiAmendment to my statements earlier.... use DARCI to counter or just for invading. Sleeper has a charge time.. DARCI doesn't
-
Remove player icons Boom, you now have to actually hunt and find them, your advantage is surprise and an overshield, that's plenty to invade with
-
I hate it too...maybe have it disable heavy when you go through the portal? But I either wait near one of the spawns so that way I can kill them before they kill my team. Or another idea hide in a small hallway so as to bring the fight close quarters but this in turn hinders dps if the primeval is out :/
-
It’s really not that great. Only because the rewards are not even worth it.
-
Stop crying and learn to counter or if the game is to hard for you go play something else..
-
Nerf cry babies ruined d2. Thanks.
-
MIDA Multi-Tool can solve that problem.

I have to agree here, I don't like nerfing guns but sleeper really is sucking the fun out of gambit, part of the problem is the game mode itself specifically being able to not only see players through walls but how many motes they have and part of it is the weapon, the OHK (even through over-shields anywhere combined with that amount of aim assist and tracking is just too much, of course this give a simple solution: remove the ability to find players through wall (hell even increase the amount of time the invader has so he can actually look for the players) and nerf the tracking sleeper has so people using it actually have to have/demonstrate a reasonable amount of skill deserving of those OHKs (this also won't drastically effect its PVE effectiveness either).
-
Obligatory "Git Gud"
-
I am not usually a fan of the nerf gun but I have to agree with this. That you can see enemy players’ locations while invading negates it’s one drawback of charge time, and unless you’re lucky or manage to swarm a user from several angles at once, you’re very unlikely to beat an even decent user without losing several players. I don’t think the thing ought to be nerfed into the ground, but it stands so clearly head-above-shoulders over other weapons that it feels almost deterministic when it comes to game outcomes.
-
My sleeper holds 16 rounds let the years flow lmao
-
2 RisposteIt’s not fun to go up against, that being said, let’s just take the heavy weapon box out. If you get some off enemies cool, but no free heavy for invaders. Idk, just my idea, I have fun in gambit as is.
-
Snipers work pretty well if you know where the invaders spawn.
-
2 RisposteHow about invading players can only see players through walls that are close by? That way they have to play more aggresively to find the players meaning other guns have a chance against a sleeper invader. Or IDK sleeper them back. You're told when an invader is entering and it's 1v4 so in most cases you could kill them with anything if you weren't solo
-
2 RisposteLet me guess you also want Celestial nighthawk nerfed too?
-
4 RisposteFartmonkey whats up! I completely agree, it is absolutely broken. Anytime I hear the signal that they’re invading i have to swap to my sniper otherwise its wraps
