im aware of the simularity to The life cycle of D1. The difference this time around is that DLC 1 (and arguably DLC 2) are garbage. They were just bad. The Dark Below and House Of Wolves were actually decent DLCs. I hopped back into D1 when TTK came out. Got the version that gave all the DLC. they were fun. They gave me something to do while grinding light level for TTK. That will not and is not the case for D2. The DLC are just bad.

i did. why? It came with a fun story, new gear, and a NEW RAID. D2 still only has one -blam!-ing raid. Not raging at you, just mad at the obserdity of it.

It was even more infuriating that the playspaces WERE ON THE DISC WE PURCHASED ALREADY. New gear? Shitty exotics like necrochasm, no land beyond, dragons breath, and the ATS/8 arachnid. It took a full year before any of these became DECENT at best. At least my gemini jester and jade rabbit weren’t as bad as those exotics. Eater of worlds, is a better boss than crota. And quite unlike the dark below, wasn’t rushed out the door to meet deadlines. Half the encounters were so poorly designed we found it more entertaining to cheese our way through it. Especially with Crota never downing properly, and the only decent weapon to come from the raid was the hunger of crota and black hammer before it was nerf’d. But unfortunately, we were forced to use them because of the godforsaken progression at the time. When I raid now, I can appreciate that it’s functioning properly THANKS to crota’s end. Just about all of the dark below is quantity without any quality.

Yeah. yeah you are right. I didnt play The dark below religiously. I had fun with it while i played though. But you are right. going back and looking at it again through unbiased eyes i can see most of what you were talking about.
