Season 2: Iron Banner
Hey all,
Iron Banner is now available! From last week's [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Explore/Detail/News/46596]TWAB[/url], here's what's changing for how you earn Rewards.

This will be the first time Lord Saladin returns to the Tower in Season 2. There have been some changes to how you’ll go about decorating your Guardian with relics of the Iron Lords.
First, we are adding new items to the engrams you will find waiting for you when you visit Lord Saladin. There will definitely be Season 2 weapons in the Iron Banner Engram and we will be adding more in the next event. Here is a look at what rewards you can expect to earn next week.

If you are missing items from last season, they will still drop as possible rewards from the engram. There is also a new emblem that tracks how many lifetime rank ups for Iron Banner you have earned in Destiny 2. You can earn it by completing the Iron Banner Milestone.

We've received a lot of feedback from previous Iron Banner events that players preferred a way to directly acquire items. We have added the ability to obtain armor and three different weapons from Lord Saladin during each event. Here is what he has to offer next week.
The final way to earn rewards is by completing challenges. Ornaments are available for all your Iron Banner gear and you can unlock them by completing various objectives for Lord Saladin.

There are no limits to how many engrams you can acquire or how many tokens you can earn. Get as much playtime as you can during the week. It will always move you a little closer to opening another engram, earning an ornament, or purchasing a piece of gear from Lord Saladin. Go nuts![/quote]

8 RisposteThis iron banner is horrible. Its the same weapons everywhere I go. 450 RPM autos and 600 RPM submachine guns with invis hunters. Try to have a level of fun with a different gun? Prepare to get steam rolled then. Its so disgusting this meta, might be the worst Destiny PvP has ever been. At least in D1 A tier and some B Tier weapons were competitve. Here? Nope. You use something else get out gunned by a 450 RPM Auto with no recoil that out kills a scout rifle. Like WTF?

5 RisposteI was mildly excited for this IB, I was excited to get that new shotty. That being said once I got it(I didn’t purchase, rather played and turned in tokens til it dropped) equipped and started match. Picked up heavy and went airborne for an aerial view, dropped down and put a slug on top of a hunters dome, didn’t kill him..🤔 Thought ok maybe in air accuracy screwed me. This time I rushed and slid into another hunter and shot in the face, didn’t kill him...🤔 maybe it’s a laggy match. Next match get heavy same shit, body or head well within range and doesn’t kill.😒 Wtf bungie, that thing is the biggest POS I’ve ever used! Nice work.

9 RisposteThis Iron Banner has been much better than the last one and I have had a lot of fun running with friends. [b]Likes[/b] - Unlimited packages. - You can buy what you are missing (minus the Ghost, Ship and Sparrow) - The Daily Challenges are not impossible for average PvP players. - The Ornaments look amazing (finally unlocked them all last night!) - The grind to unlock the ornaments seems reasonable IF we get 2 more IB events before Season 3. The grenade/melee kills is the one that some people may need multiple events to unlock. - Control is fun. [b]Dislikes[/b] - Emperor's Respite is a terrible map for control. Unless you are on a full fireteam its almost impossible to win if you spawn in at C, and even with a full team your chances of winning are terrible. - Solo match making mostly sucks, not sure why it feels so different than normal Crucible. You can easily go on a 5+ losing streak, where normal crucible the win/loss ratio feels close to 50/50. - The ornaments flavor text should at least tell you how many kills you need if the progress bar is going to display a percentage. - The 150(?) grenade/melee kills for the chest ornament seems a bit overkill, but I guess it's not that bad if there are 2 more IB events before Season 3. I struggled with it at first since i'm more of a hang back and shoot player, but then I forced myself to change up my playstyle and to my surprise I was actually getting 3-5% per match. - Melee hit registration seems broke at times. There were several times when the enemy was literally standing in front of me and my melee would miss. I'm not sure if this is an issue with the Synthoceps or not. - Would be nice if end match rewards had a chance to drop IB gear. maybe they do and I just have not noticed getting any.

Just Finished the ornament Set. I like the fact that any combination of regular gear and ornament gear looks good together. Right now I am using the Chest, Leg, and Helmet Ornament with the rest being regular armor.

Once I got a ghost I stopped playing. Also the melee/grenade kills stopped at 25% so that, as well as IB being garbage, put me right off.

PLEASE JUST PLEASE FIX ""DUPLICATES"" AFTER 34 ENGRAMS, I DIDNT GOT THE SEASON 1 HAND CANNON WITH OUTLAW... WAS HOPING TO USE IT ON RAIDS PVE, AND GOT LIKE 20 BOOTS...__.ITS RNG OK BUT WHY NOT PUT A CAP? 10 DUPES? I GAVE UP THA HC....

5 RisposteThis is what, the 4th, 5th, 6th, Iron Banner? Why is there no damn sword? You give us armor that is reminiscent of medieval and Samurai armor but no sword? C'mon. Give us one and don't just reskin the Crown Splitter or Quickfang. Actually put some design work in. Also you gave us IB ships BUT guess what, they're just reskins of ships we already have. Why? D1 you gave us ships with body designs unique to IB. Be creative.

If you're not going to increase the amount of tokens from the end of matches, can we at least get a chance of Iron Banner rewards from matches instead of regular Crucible loot.

.... Just never be control. Lol. Just make every IB clash. And please add a non pvp event. Personally, I do very well in pvp, but competing against people gets exhausting. I wish there was something else other than competition. Sometimes it's nice just to help people instead of always competing.

I would like to see power level enabled. There is no point to be 335 if the advantages are turned off all the time. Also, there should be exotic ghosts, ships or sparrows for the heavy grind with the ability to purchase them all. Also, we are iron lords do why does Saladin not recognize us as such?

16 RisposteOh boy I love the ornaments I can't get cause I keep getting ganked by some of the worst players I've ever played against. Oh sorry those are my team mates, who don't cap objectives and dont move together. By the way, how many freaking melee and grenade kills do you expect us to get when getting into melee combat against a a titan is almost guaranteed to lose and grenades recharge once every minute? When will we start to see changes that begin to stop punishing half decent players or anyone who solo queues because of the non existent skill gap that's supposed to exist for this reason? I want these ornaments but I can't stand playing even half a game right now. Titans are impossible to kill mod super thanks to the masterwork armor, every time I try to duel someone they get 2 or 3 extra team mates to help and as I'm sure you know you can't just run away cause you're already dead. PvP isn't fun, it never was in D2 not even in the beta. Bungie have ruined it by taking away literally everything that made it fun in the first place all because someone wanted it to be different. Maybe next time try easing us into this sh*t rather than just out of nowhere taking the experience we've gotten used to and enjoy and throwing in the trash.

I don’t know what you’re doing with the spawning but this iron banner I’m fed up of dying within 5 seconds of respawning. Even managed 2 consecutive deaths where I spawned in under fire. I don’t know what you did but you’ve it messed up.

Supers need more health and arc supers need to be buffed I feel like I can only get one kill before I die of low health. A super doesn’t feel very super anymore. Also what was it with a ledge stoping my titan

2 RisposteGot all the gear and all the ornaments except the chest piece (250 gernade/melee kills are ridiculous!!! When you nerfed those skills!) Took me 2 days of solo grinding, but then again I don't suck balls at PvP......but I do notice alot of the players left in this game, really don't know how to cap points and HOLD THEM!
