Season 2: Iron Banner
Hey all,
Iron Banner is now available! From last week's [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Explore/Detail/News/46596]TWAB[/url], here's what's changing for how you earn Rewards.

This will be the first time Lord Saladin returns to the Tower in Season 2. There have been some changes to how you’ll go about decorating your Guardian with relics of the Iron Lords.
First, we are adding new items to the engrams you will find waiting for you when you visit Lord Saladin. There will definitely be Season 2 weapons in the Iron Banner Engram and we will be adding more in the next event. Here is a look at what rewards you can expect to earn next week.

If you are missing items from last season, they will still drop as possible rewards from the engram. There is also a new emblem that tracks how many lifetime rank ups for Iron Banner you have earned in Destiny 2. You can earn it by completing the Iron Banner Milestone.

We've received a lot of feedback from previous Iron Banner events that players preferred a way to directly acquire items. We have added the ability to obtain armor and three different weapons from Lord Saladin during each event. Here is what he has to offer next week.
The final way to earn rewards is by completing challenges. Ornaments are available for all your Iron Banner gear and you can unlock them by completing various objectives for Lord Saladin.

There are no limits to how many engrams you can acquire or how many tokens you can earn. Get as much playtime as you can during the week. It will always move you a little closer to opening another engram, earning an ornament, or purchasing a piece of gear from Lord Saladin. Go nuts![/quote]

3 Risposte@dmg04 This has been fun. The only issue is Emperor's Respite. It should be pulled from the control rotation. If you can cap A and B with a competent team you are almost guaranteed of a win. This leads to matches often being decided based on initial spawn.

1 RispondiEntering mid-match was the worst! There is a reason someone quit early, and now I have to suffer for that. Here is an example of what it’s like, since you as DEVS never experience this before you apply this change. It’s like entering a 100 meter dash at the beginning while everyone is at the 50 meter mark already running. They already had 2 slams and probably heavy too. So I immediately left. Sure I could probably beat them if I had a fighting chance from the start, but you’re asking too much from me. I can’t believe you’d do this. Take this off IB and leave that stupidity for casual quickplay. No replay means a lack of caring for player base concerns. Thank you.

Iron banner is trash! No one gives 2 flying -blam!-s about trash rewards. Way to go bunghole you completely destroyed a game a lot of us loved. Why? For the sake of PvP balancing and all the twitch pussies crying for things to be MORE balanced? Lmfao what a great choice -blam!- your game

6 RisposteThis was the absolute worst time I have ever had in Iron Banner. I think I won maybe 7 matches out of 45 played. Most of the losses were complete blowouts, and the wins were by the skin of our teeth. It feels like there was some behind the scenes update to matchmaking. I’m not a great PvP player but I have never had a worse time.

3 RisposteI wanted that Iron Banner Fusion Rifle. Took turning in 400+ coins just to get. Got the scout and hand cannon like 10 times. Just saying. We know this game is rigged. Quit waiting for actual proof to admit how shady you guys have become.

Too many people back out of matches if it isn’t going their way. If your team gets down by 10 or so, people start leaving the match (even though a comeback certainly isn’t impossible). This has happened to me more often than not this iron banner, and then the “3 vs. 4” matchup kills any chance of coming back from the deficit. Thus, I lose the vast majority of games, and I can’t level up quickly in iron banner. This makes ME want to quit matches early too (but I don’t because it’s fundamentally cowardly and selfish). Even when I do level up, the rewards aren’t any better than the weapons and armor I already have, and they don’t raise my light level. So what’s the point? If this wasn’t, by far, the best video game I’ve ever played in my life, I’d be furious. But it is. So, just a little “reward enhancement” and less severe “loss penalty” would be nice.

3 RisposteI enjoyed this Iron Banner ... got full armor and ornaments for all my characters. I do miss having light level enabled. In D1 it was great to be able to gain light level through IB gear drops and feel like your light level meant something in PVP. I have never been much of a raider, so IB helped me hit max light in D1.

So I Destiny player who go to school which means lack of playtime due to homework and bedtime schedules. I was only able to do it on the weekend, but I got nothing special because I did not have time to play through enough matches and I kept getting duplicates or dismantable junk from packages. It would have been fine if the PvP was not so un-replayable.

How about making it so we don't join a losing match with 10 seconds left cause most the team quit cause that's what most of my experience in solo matchmaking has been in crucible

2 RisposteThe IB chest ornament requirement is ridiculous. Even if you consider it obtaining, to do it in solo queue means more often than not sacrificing the wins. If you get randoms who are all doing the same, it’s... it’s ridiculous.

1 RispondiPlayed a little just to grab my titan helm and a couple ornaments, but D2 pvp is just so bland and boring that I played monster hunter world for the rest of it. Don’t feel powerful. Don’t feel fast. Weapons are boring. Team shot strategy is boring. Such a shame.

Still grinding for end match drops that are below your light level so you pretty much have to recycle everything.

It seems like some of the kills are not registering or being lost by team shooting. Hopefully we can carry progression to the next IB event and if it resets then that will be an ornament I will not go after in the current meta. Most recent match on my Titan.... started with 32% and completed match with 1 melee and 1 grenade kill and progression went up to 33%.
