Season 2: Iron Banner
Hey all,
Iron Banner is now available! From last week's [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Explore/Detail/News/46596]TWAB[/url], here's what's changing for how you earn Rewards.

This will be the first time Lord Saladin returns to the Tower in Season 2. There have been some changes to how you’ll go about decorating your Guardian with relics of the Iron Lords.
First, we are adding new items to the engrams you will find waiting for you when you visit Lord Saladin. There will definitely be Season 2 weapons in the Iron Banner Engram and we will be adding more in the next event. Here is a look at what rewards you can expect to earn next week.

If you are missing items from last season, they will still drop as possible rewards from the engram. There is also a new emblem that tracks how many lifetime rank ups for Iron Banner you have earned in Destiny 2. You can earn it by completing the Iron Banner Milestone.

We've received a lot of feedback from previous Iron Banner events that players preferred a way to directly acquire items. We have added the ability to obtain armor and three different weapons from Lord Saladin during each event. Here is what he has to offer next week.
The final way to earn rewards is by completing challenges. Ornaments are available for all your Iron Banner gear and you can unlock them by completing various objectives for Lord Saladin.

There are no limits to how many engrams you can acquire or how many tokens you can earn. Get as much playtime as you can during the week. It will always move you a little closer to opening another engram, earning an ornament, or purchasing a piece of gear from Lord Saladin. Go nuts![/quote]

I came to complain about the same thing, after all these years Iron Banner is still a one-week event. Ornaments usually make armor look uglier, but I found out too late it’s the opposite for the Iron Banner ornaments. No games think about the people who can’t get on 5 hours a day and love the game as much as the people who can. Such a little mistakes have ruined this game. You play 30 games to get shaders and a emblem that’s meh, how you do people like that? I bet everyone thought it was going to be something at least useful (maximum light cap armor or weapons).

Unfortunately I hadn't time enough to get all those sets. When is expected to come back again though?

5 RisposteI think anyone with a full time job and occasional responsibilities outside of work would find that chest ornament almost impossible to unlock. I literally played every day every spare second I had during this event when I wasn't working or dealing with life stuff and only made it to 40% completion on the chest ornament. Feel like it was heavily favored towards "hardcore" players.

I obtained every ornament for my warlock on every piece if IB armor. Getting the grenade and melee kills took me the longest but once I was able to focus on it, I got it finished. I got all three weapons, and I have to say, I really like them. One thing that was underwhelming was the reward for completing 30 matches. Emblems and shaders are nice and all. I really thought I might be working toward a unique ship or sparrow. It’s my fault, I had my expectations high. After all, it was a lot of work as I mostly play solo. Overall, I have to say that this was an enjoyable IB experience that has me excited about the next one. Keep the weapons coming please! If you can bring back the passport books for tracking that would be cool too. It feels as though D2 is headed in the right direction. Keep it up!

i had a good time. finished all 3 armor sets +ornaments. got the 3 new weapons got the ghost/ship/sparrow (x2) and a handful of MW ARs & Titan marks. my only complaint is the lack of cowbell. what gives?

1 RispondiChest ornament is a rough grind and I play about 5-6 hours of IB a day. I missed one day of IB and I play on all 3 characters and I'm only at 84%. Also how does the percentage work ? How many kills equal 1% Played about 8 games and went from 80 to 84, with maybe 2 to 3 melee/ grenade kills a game Other then the and lack of loot that isn't reskinned or blues it was ok. Also what's the deal with the Iron temple? Can we get it back as a IB meet up spot if u do t want it as a permanent social space.

To think that they had everything on their side too. 3 years of data from D1 A brand new genre of game Amazing art design Great enemy factions A fantastic score Amazing gun play A solar system that has endless growth possibilities. Literally, we could have 12 planets and dozens of strikes by now. We could have a hundred story missions and a huge amount of weekly content to enjoy. This game was shaping up to be a WoW-esque experience. But the idiots who are the Devs completely destroyed all of it. And for what? To push a few more microtransactions and try to make the game more 5 year old friendly? This game has to be the biggest disppointment of all time. I don't know any other studio that had everything going for them (including their name and huge fan base) pissed it all away this hard.

Is it possible to earn Season 1 Iron Banner weapons with Curse of Osiris installed? I saw that it is only possible for non dlc owners and i would really like to get the auto rifle (i accidentally dismantled mine shortly after Season 1 ended)

5 RisposteClose to 50 games played. No ghost, no sparrow and no ship. Got something like 6 handcannons and one scout. Thats the (new) loot report. All ornaments done except for the grenade/melee one which looks to take forever. Tried my best to care about IB this time, but a few days I just couldnt find the energy to login and care. In other news, I miss the old Iron Banner...

4 RisposteI feel like D2 isn’t as popular because of all the whiners not getting what they want. Yes, there are things about Destiny I would like to change but the fact that the Banner armor didn’t look like you want it too makes me want to laugh. I feel sorry for Bungie and all the complaints they get about how people don’t like the Destiny logo, or that they need to add more hair choices for when you create a new character.

4 RisposteI am not a real PvP guy, but I played Iron Banner this time to try and see what the rewards were like. The decoration for melee / grenades award was nice, but as far as I am concerned nearly impossible to win. After the full week I was only at 14%. I think this was a pretty unrealisitic goal. I also never had a chance at the 25 wins for the helmet, but then I am not surprised by that as I really suck at PvP

5 RisposteI wish it lasted more than one week. In game alerts should notify you went events are ending. I now have 46 unspent iron banner tokens in my inventory that I can't use. Perhaps allow unspent token to be turned in still after the event ends.

2 RisposteThis iron banner is the worst, the armor looks terrible, like the Mongols. The quest for the decoration of the armor is unreasonably long. Although the other quests are not very complicated. It is very difficult to kill an opponent with a grenade one on one when other players shoot at him. Your designers should know that in the first part of the armor looked much better and brutal. You must invite the old designers.

I don't get how samurai fits into the theme of Destiny. In Destiny 1 I thought that Iron Banner armor was the nicest looking armor in the game. All of it was nice, old and new. But now it's samurai themed. We're traveling to different planets fighting space bad guys getting shot at by lasers and cool elemental weapons...Why are we wearing samurai armor? One could say it's just samurai themed, but it looks more like we're trying to fight these futuristic bad guys with our space ships, cool guns and year 1700 armor. I'll say this, I do appreciate new armor and not just reskins. On the other hand (and this is just constructive criticism) I really don't think it looks cool. It's too simple and doesn't look practical. It seems like someone just took pieces of samurai armor and placed it on random different spots. Looks like there's shingles and those same shingles were copied and pasted and used for shoulder pads, around the thigh, around the helmets, and so on. I do think the ship, ghost, sparrow were all cool though. :)

4 RisposteWould really like it if that Forward Path auto rifle would drop. I have 90 packages turned in and the only thing I want is that auto rifle. No worries though I’ve gotten enough shotguns to choke a whale. Seriously though how about implementing D1 package rewards in which one can choose between armor or weapons.

1 RispondiStill think it’s funny people get mad at bungie for getting into games mid way with 2-3 people when most people tend to quit once they go down 15+ points like a comeback is impossible. Y’all really are high maintenance af. Although a solo queue option would have been nice. Other than that, well executed iron banner enjoyed, being able to purchase armor sets. Didn’t like the reskins but whatever still had fun with the weapons.

3 Risposte@dmg04 This has been fun. The only issue is Emperor's Respite. It should be pulled from the control rotation. If you can cap A and B with a competent team you are almost guaranteed of a win. This leads to matches often being decided based on initial spawn.
