as per Paul Tassi of Forbes Magazine
"Destiny 2 is coming off accusations that the Eververse store is starting to take over the game. When Curse of Osiris arrived, it had just as many new items as the expansion itself hidden away in its Bright Engram loot boxes. Now, just two weeks later, The Dawning has dumped another 59 items into Eververse in a new, separate engram.
Here’s the breakdown:
5 pieces of armor (3x classes)
4 emotes (1 exotic)
10 Ghost Shells (1 exotic)
10 ships (2 exotic)
11 sparrows (2 exotic)
4 shaders
5 transmat effects"
How about instead of filling the Eververse with things we can get randomly by playing the game that we keep telling you needs to be made better, you actually provide in game content to earn some of this stuff.. have it as rewards and trophies for defeating engaging activities in the game.. at this point, i'm sure sprinkling it througout the game we already have would be a fresh idea but, what about adding in new heroic adventures, new side missions and quests, have us do things to earn rewards to show our accomplishments like we did in D1 and stop simply giving out gift baskets of random stuff simply for doing what ever it is those of us left do in Destiny week in and week out.
Edit 1. I go to sleep and get to work to check out the page and wow. Seems i'm not the only one feeling this way. I appreciate the support and I also appreciate the fact that so many of you are still caring enough about the game to continue to provide feedback... now about that "devils horn/metal" emote....

16 RisposteI still dont get what everyone is complaining about. You level up. You get a bright engram. You go to eververse to decrypt said engram. You get your chance at eververse loot without pay. Its generally the same as turning in tokens, they just call it something different. As long as you grind you will level up. Youll get bright engrams for level up. Then you can get this "unattainable" loot through a roll. RNG then determines wether you get a old shader or a new exotic shell.

its in bungies contract with activision which was signed before they released halo reach (yes this contract has been around for a very long time), that they HAVE to create a micro transaction system in the game

Modificato da D2 is cancer: 12/20/2017 5:44:54 PMIts funny how they made you pay $20 to introduce 100+ items that cost ADDITIONAL MONEY hahah. So instead of paying money to get content, you paid money to pay more money for said new content ROFL. Y'all playing this game are getting your ass f8cked so deep its not even funny.
-
2 RisposteLet us earn items either through PvP or PvE
-
It's weird that content now consists of an Eververse inventory change, and that's pretty much it.
-
There is a bunch of stuff they could use to give people something to do and inject life into the game, instead they lock it behind a paywall. And the folks defending it saying it's just cosmetics i find the most frustrating

You can get all of it just playing. Yes, you can accelerate the process buy paying but you can still get it through random drops just like any other gear. Forbes wants to sell. They're not as reliable as they once we're. You can't even read their site if you have a full on ad blocker. God you guys are blind

The amount of Bungie apologists in this thread is disheartening.
-
They should fire the eververse team and use their budget to add more to the content team. Less money in the short term but making your customer base have faith in you again could have a significant ROI that maybe they aren't smart enough to take advantage of anymore.
-
GL OP. Players have been asking for content since year 1 of destiny.

I concur, I would much rather have different guns and armor, as opposed to an Exotic ship that does nothing but look nice. The cosmetic stuff is cool, don't get me wrong. I'd just much rather have useful things to use in combat!

1 Rispondi"No, this game is designed for two things, balance and micro transactions. You thought this game was about having fun? We always knew spending more money in Marketing instead of game development would pay huge dividends. We'll probably start selling used cars as our next project. We could sell a 1988 Hyundai to a fan boy by just slapping a Destiny logo on it. We rock!" -- Bungie
-
Does anyone remember when we would log into Destiny and get random freebies from the postmaster? Wasn't that cool?...just for logging in. Eververse was no where to be found. It was nice. Where did THAT Bungie go? Warframe still does this, every day, JUST for logging in each day. It's nice.

1 RispondiWhat pisses me off the most is even after all this stuff being stuffed into eververse engrams, I'm actually getting curse of Osiris drops from the Christmas boxes. Why the -blam!- am I getting Curse of Osiris drops from the limited Christmas event loot engrams!?
-
12 RisposteWhat about the -blam!-ing Exotic Ghost that increases ALL PUBLIC EVENT REWARDS, and allows you to collect more glimmer on ANY planet/moon.???? WTF??? That’s total PAY TO PLAY. It’s probably the most useful ghost ive seen. Just wtf already!!??

Upvoted, my dude. 👍

3 RisposteOne of my freinds online has spent more then 200$ in less then 2 weeks on bright engrams to get the new meda multitool ornaments, i got mad at him and asked why he would spend so much money, and his answer was “cuz i got the money” but he kept spending and still does it now. We year one veterans have said this would get out of hand and the eververse store should not exist but were pushed back by the fanboys saying “but its just cosmetic” well now almost cosmetic items in the game can only be obtained from the eververse store so i hope your happy because bungies wallets sure are and all that money is only going into developing more eververse content not actually free content. While their are people not spending money (which is good) their are few whales but the amount of money those whales spend compensates for the people not spending anything. Welcome to eververse 2 become a spender.

The stuff they knock up for Eververse takes very little resources to generate and implement, because it’s all just re-skinning existing assets. The kind of system level changes that we’re asking for are much more complex and take much more time. We all agree that the endgame needs quite a bit of work, but we all need to realise that it’s not going to be fixed overnight. We’ve seen some small steps in the right direction with masterworks and the forge weapons that actually require a bit of a grind and the live team have proven themselves in the past with the AoT and so I think we are going to see some more positive progress with the January update and hopefully get some info on how they plan to further improve the game going forward. For some that’s too little to late and that’s fair enough, but even if they hadn’t updated EV stock, we’d not be any close to significant systemic changes

Modificato da rebelfist1: 12/20/2017 4:01:32 PMWow the fanbots are heavy over here on your post bro. Indeed. They serve their masters well! tricks. Promoting the transformation of gaming as a whole by shaming others to accept microtransactions in their games. Indeed. Well phuck you (botholes) I'm a 45 year veteran who likes gaming as a hobby and I can tell you that what is happening now in gaming as a whole is bull SH it. Who do these fanboys think they're kidding to say that a developer who recouped their cost and have exceeded their profit margins ten fold have the moral right to continue to milk their customers over and over and over again in the name of corporate greed? They're on the wrong side of history when this gets out of hand and explodes beyond any controls and EVERYBODY finds themselves paying dearly for letting this go unchecked...but not today for them huh fanbots? Life is good for these guys in their little universe tricking for shards to earn a buck. Nice lobbying. We'll see them on the otherside. Take the disk out your mouth fanbots! Hit eject!

HUGE BUMP.... I can see pay for shaders/useless crap... but when you start putting in functional improvements into a pay system. EA 2.0

https://www.forbes.com/sites/insertcoin/2017/12/15/destiny-2s-the-dawning-is-exactly-what-i-was-afraid-of/ Eververse items if they were placed in game, things wouldn't feel as shallow. But it would be a small step for every game design decision for d2 has ruined what made destiny "destiny"

1 RispondiIt'll be worth it guys all the profits from silver go to realising free DLC updates like the curse of osir....... Hey wait a second!
Please Don't Buy Silver

Microtransactions In A Full priced AAA game are ruining gaming as a whole
1 RispondiModificato da spaceme17: 12/20/2017 1:23:01 PMCompletely agree. We are getting more and more Eververse items and less and less in-game items. This is the sort of thing that nearly killed Diablo 3. Remember the Auction House from Diablo 3? Blizzard had to remove it because it was killing the game. Bungie, you need to removed the Eververse as it is a MAJOR thing killing Destiny 2. I will not grind for Eververse engrams and I will not pay real money for them. I will BUY other games from other companies and tell EVERYONE to STEER CLEAR OF DESTINY and BUNGIE.
