as per Paul Tassi of Forbes Magazine
"Destiny 2 is coming off accusations that the Eververse store is starting to take over the game. When Curse of Osiris arrived, it had just as many new items as the expansion itself hidden away in its Bright Engram loot boxes. Now, just two weeks later, The Dawning has dumped another 59 items into Eververse in a new, separate engram.
Here’s the breakdown:
5 pieces of armor (3x classes)
4 emotes (1 exotic)
10 Ghost Shells (1 exotic)
10 ships (2 exotic)
11 sparrows (2 exotic)
4 shaders
5 transmat effects"
How about instead of filling the Eververse with things we can get randomly by playing the game that we keep telling you needs to be made better, you actually provide in game content to earn some of this stuff.. have it as rewards and trophies for defeating engaging activities in the game.. at this point, i'm sure sprinkling it througout the game we already have would be a fresh idea but, what about adding in new heroic adventures, new side missions and quests, have us do things to earn rewards to show our accomplishments like we did in D1 and stop simply giving out gift baskets of random stuff simply for doing what ever it is those of us left do in Destiny week in and week out.
Edit 1. I go to sleep and get to work to check out the page and wow. Seems i'm not the only one feeling this way. I appreciate the support and I also appreciate the fact that so many of you are still caring enough about the game to continue to provide feedback... now about that "devils horn/metal" emote....

You guys remember the Valentine’s Day event? Crimson doubles? Remember all the cool shaders and ghost shells it had? Remember how they all could be obtained by playing the crimson doubles game mode? That’s how this should be. Dawning items should be able to be obtained via random drop for some random yet festive game mode or public’s event.

28 RisposteYou can get eververse items just from grinding bright engrams . I know you know this but this outcry over eververse is just wearing thin. I got a full set of dawning armor from eververse today. From buying one piece with the massive amount of bright dust collected and the others dropped from you guessed it bright engrams . Sure it takes time and is not instant but everyone was crying for the grindy nature back and we have it and people Are still bitching . It’s a game that you partake in that has content tied to both earning by playing and by real world money. I’m not defending bungie a actions as of late however complaining about eververse is putting complaints in the wrong spot . There’s plenty to bitch about but the -blam!-ing eververse store isn’t worth it !
-
2 RisposteThe thing is, Bungie used or hid behind the use of Eververse as an excuse or however you see it. Back in D1 they announced and claimed Eververse was a means to fund small events like the Dawning. If indeed it is true then as a consumer I have to say, they need to do a whole lot better in D2. Luke Smith said, D2 is a collectors game, well it is that and fine, but collecting shit is just not worth it. Whoever comes up with this crap really are poor and should feel ashamed and embarrassed. I would so much love for someone to get into these Bungie live events and ask some proper questions and demand answers. Question time with Bungie on live stream I would think would break all viewing number records lol Alas only the Bungie dick suckers get into those....

Correct me if I’m wrong but when it comes to selling exotics I thought that was xur the agent of nine busses not tess eververse?
Anyone who defends eververse either doesnt know what bungie themselves said what it was supposed to be for and how it was used. Bungie themselves back in the day said it was supposed to be used for free updates after dlc that wouldnt have been developed otherwise. Fast forward to d2 and eververse isnt being used to make free updates to keep the game alive, its being used to take advantage of you. And to anyone who says that eververse payed for the dawning then i ask this to you: When do you think the dawning was developed? Keep in mind most post launch content is developed along side the base game.
I can live with it being the game but building an event around it is just as low as it gets . I would be happy if they scaled it back to d1 style when ghost , ships and sparrows weren’t pay walled. Imagine if those things dropped in game for activities , wouldn’t this make a difference ?

Also there is an article by Forbes that makes fun of Tess and it’s funny and worth to read

Micro transactions are good but when they are practically used, basically having most loot game items in the micro transactions are too far. So what would be fair and nice if Bungie can implement all those in game items from the micro transactions and have it in the game it’s simple. To make it fair for them in money wise they can have those in game items there in micro transactions but people can still earn it in game

Hello Everyone, I been trying to understand when or what caused such I big departure for bungie when it comes to choosing money over image (reputation). I can't help but think Harold wanted to keep Destiny an RPG looter not focused on MTX. Almost as if he was a thorn in their side to those that wanted to push the envelope and choose money (greed) over there great reputation and loyal fan base. Harold Ryan departed shortly after the last dawning that brought a lot of fun balanced activities with the free update The Dawning. I'm talking SRL, strike scoring, 3 revamped strikes, well balanced loot packages from Tess that were more than fair to receive all gear for free. Destiny 2 is brought to us by all new higher ups, and the outcome is truly not a good one as we can all see by now. Everything has been designed around a gambling store that you can clearly not even remotely come close to earning through free gameplay. All in all this free activity has brought back an old crucible mode Mayhem, snowballs, ice hockey, and tons of loot all behind a MTX store. Hmmmmmm..... Let me know your thoughts, whether you agree, or if I'm seeing things completely wrong.

"Ok, how can we better lie to you, to maximize profits, with minimum efforts, while making you feel, you are not being suckered at our every corner turned?" #Cancervision.

6 RisposteIf they had a system like Overwatch where you could save up enough in game currency to purchase the skins/armor/mod or whatever you wanted through eververse it would be much better. Making everything in this game random is ruining it.

Just pay close attention to the amount of microtransaction apologists in this thread alone. F*CKING DISGUSTING. You f*ckup gaming as a whole.

Here’s a great video summary of all the shady practices of Bungie lately. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=2Tv_K7BrmWM #RemoveEververse

I dont mind there being eververse as if it's helps fund future dlc's, wether it does is up for debate. Should dlc's be free then? But and the big but is...why take away ghosts and ships from the raids and other events that used to drop, every single ship comes from eververse and buying a green one from holiday don't count. I'd prefer a mixture of the two as being honest the "shop" doesn't change my game experience but would be nice to have raid ghosts etc back with some cool perks. My concern is that they spend more time redesigning emotes and ghosts/ships/sparrows to sell to us instead of filling out dlc's with real meaty content instead of just reused gun models and assets all the time. The amount of new eververse content that came with the dawning is just ridiculous.

5 RisposteSince the Dawning was free, I have no personal issues with it: I have bought zero bright engrams. I will buy zero bright engrams. If I don't know what I'm getting, I don't get it. On the bright side, I am having fun with the new quests, grinding for loot. I will continue to do so. I'd have preferred a return of SRL, but I know tracks take time to make. Next year, maybe.

Modificato da zNapSack: 12/21/2017 6:45:39 AM
Can we get Content and not Eververse Items please
One can in fact get content that is not Eververse items. However, they still have to pay for it. They paid for the game and they paid for any DLC they have. Unless they pirated it which may mean they will pay for it later, one way or the other. In reality no one gets out alive. In video games no one gets out for free*. ;) *There is no such thing as free. Everything in life comes at a cost. And it doesn't always involve money.

People still play this game ?

Micro transactions can be used in a good way, the way Bungie is using them is horrific. i feel more robbed spending the $150 (aus) on the game and expansion to have no content and have most of the cool loot locked behind another paywall compaired to another game where i have spent triple that amount on a free game because it has something for me to grind (the ranked ladder) and the skins are 100x better than what destiny offers. OK you want to lock a free seasonal event behind a paywall or give sub par loot in a free engram to look like you are being kind to the player base, fine, at least put parts of the armor in those free engrams or at least let me get my 7 dust from the doubled up shaders i now have because i have no room for new shaders anyway. or at least make the season sets half price the full season sets cost as i only have 3 weeks, not 3 months to grind the engrams for them.
