I'm proposing an armor mod that reduces flinch from all sources, thus we can avoid an inevitable nerf to hcr.
Thoughts?

1 RispondiNo. Have fun and may RNG be forever in your favor.
-
Flinch is too high across the board. They need to bring that back to D1.

3 RisposteModificato da Quadlog: 10/27/2017 4:05:15 PMJust watched a video comparing HC to normal and there is a negligible difference in flinch. https://youtu.be/T3ud-RMnAAQ

8 RisposteJust remove high calibre. View kick is such an awful mechanic. Why it’s still acceptable to have it in games is beyond me.
-
It's been mentioned before, instead of nerfing weapons, offer us mods to compete against certain perks.
-
4 RisposteIf you put weapons on with high handling. It reduces flinch.
-
Or better yet just remove flinch as a mechanic. Flinch is a terrible mechanic for every game it's in, and all it ever does in frustrate players.
-
13 RisposteJust remove hcr all together. Or change it so that it doesn’t work in pvp.
-
Modificato da Swiftlock: 10/27/2017 7:37:39 PMThat would immediately become the best mod for PvP. Who cares about some minor cooldown decreases when you can have an easier time keeping your Uriel's glued to someone's face? Not good design.

11 RisposteOr buy pc version of Destiny

I thought this was one of the benefits of increased handling speed
-
spec for handling.
-
*Sci-Fi material name* : Decreases effect of flinch from enemy attacks : Decreases Recovery slightly ?
-
Or you could just make it reduce stability and handling. Or you can just reduce how effective it is.
-
Or you could just balance hcr by making it decrease stability, which is realistic.
-
This could work! Would be even better if we could unslot mods.
-
Oh no...
Even High Caliber Rounds has an acronym now?
-
I was just thinking about this. Have increased resilience reduce those kind de buffs. Like at 5 resilience the flinch from hcr, blinding, stun, and poison effects are reduced by like 30%
-
There aren't enough armor slots for all the mods needed to fix half the things broken in PvP right now. HCR need to be gone from MIDA and the perk nerfed on other weapons like Uriels. There's no room for other perks when flinch is what wins gun fights.
-
Or just make HCR the same way it was towards the end of Destiny 1...

2 RisposteModificato da DSharp018: 10/26/2017 9:31:54 PMI wouldn't mind if they decided to cut down on the number of mods by increasing the number of places you could fit them. You know, instead of having a mod for solar melee recharge on your legs and one for your arms, just a solar melee recharge that can fit in both. Would help keep some of the RNG with mods in line.

Yes! Great Idea!

While we are on the topic of modding mods and mod slots... Exotic mods? Mods that drastically modify an aspect of a weapon but have drawbacks. Examples- *Beam Modification. Increased Rof, max stability, lowered impact, lower range, increased reload. Continuous beam. *Shotgun mod- Fires 3 projectiles in a cone per round spent. Drastically reduce range and stability. *Heavy slugs- Drastically increase impact, projectiles travel in a ballistic arc. Reduce rof and magazine.
pipe dream- explosive payload assault rifle, severely limited ammo, lowish rof (like 350), lowered impact, etc.
Not asking for game breaking but I think it could increase weapon loadout variety and be crucial to solving "stagnant meta". I'd even be cool with having only one equipped and replacing a "true" exotic. Yes, I'm definitely drawing inspiration from Mass Effect Andromeda's single player crafting, one of the best aspects of that game.

5 RisposteActually, it would make more sense if the “flinch” mod was the weapon. IMO bungie should add a second mod slot to the weapons and armor. Weapons first slot should remain the same: atk power, kinetic, and energy. Second slot could be for support: flinch, stability, weapons handling, ect, ect... Armor, same thing as weapons, def power up, M/R/R increase. Second slot is support: increase ability charge rate, increase weapon ammo, etc, etc.... I think by adding another mod slot should increase the effectiveness of our weapons and armor.

2 RisposteI was thinking the same thing Not 100% flinch reduction but maybe 50%
