Hi everyone,
we need support from you all community of Destiny. First of all, who are we? We are two deaf guardians who played Destiny since day one in 2014, we was veterans in Destiny, you all can check our stats at Destiny Status. (We did a lot of raids in D1 without problems, with support from notifications on game screen, the three emotes, role assignment through messages.)
Why are we writing this post and need your support? Because we noticed that raid has a terrible lack of accessibility, especially at last step, fighting at final boss phase (Emperor Calus). Three guardians have to communicate their symbols to another three guardians, like chalice, sun, war dog, crossed axes.
We can't imagine if this happen with a fireteam of deaf players or speechless people or people who doesn't like use mic. We know some deaf people can solve this through webcams, but we want an accessibility equal for all! We support that everyone can do the raid without the feeling of discrimination.
We did some tweets (18-25th September) at Bungie, Bungiehelp, DeeJ_BNG and Cozmo23, trying to stimulate them for add a feature in section of Accessibility, like chat on screen (this feature is present in PC and not in console...why? We are Xbox player and experienced Gears 4, this game has this feature and helped us very great!). Yes using keyboard with Xbox can help more, because it is possible to chat directly on game screen with less distractions in other screens from PC or other devices. Anyway they ignored our tweets.
In conclusion, please share this post to several websites with theme Destiny 2, for better visibility. So we hope they from Bungie can solve this problem of accessibility in Destiny 2, especially in consoles.
Thank you again for your support!

PS: We don't want to change design of gameplay in D2, but only a simple tool for inclusion!
EDIT - 26th Sept 2017
Summarizing comments for avoid duplicate suggestions from community of Destiny
SOLUTION A: Keyboard plugged at Xbox and chat window on game screen (the best for me, it is possible to use it also for next future raids/activities in Destiny 2 without worrying and feeling discrimination)
SOLUTION B: Custom d-pad 4 directions for 4 different emotes (good solution but limited, if next raid will have 5 symbols then we can't ask Microsoft to create controllers with new d-pad!)
SOLUTION ?: Using code for 4 symbols like A = Axes, S = Sun, C = Cup, D = Dog through discord app or similar tool. (Honestly isn't a good solution, this require a separate device screen and need less than 5 sec to write and other guardians have to read the sequence like ACS, 5 seconds to punch psion is not enough time.)

1 RispondiNever even thought about this problem as we don't have any deaf guardians in our team. But this will make the last step seriously hard. I am just thinking and not sure if possible. But can you use text to speech in discord? I know team speak can and you can make shortcuts that with one button it says the sentence you type in so you make 4 shortcuts but this would only work with 1 deaf guardian. Unless you make sure all deaf guardians are in the void and use text to speech to the guardians in the throne room. Just thoughts hope this gets a solution!

1 RispondiSo completely overhaul the game for 2 people? No. The one thing ive always admired about disabled people that overcome challenges is that they OVERCOME CHALLENGES. Your not special. Figure it out and overcome. Theres a dude that plays cod with his face! His name is nomad. Check him out.
