Okay. When the beta for Xbox One became available in the XBox Store, I also found the Destiny 2 pre-ordered app. I downloaded it to my Xbox and it was like 10 megabytes or so.
I got a notice on Xbox One 2 days ago that Destiny 2 base edition was available for pre-download. I went and checked the Destiny 2 pre-orderd app and it now says it's 34.9 Gigabytes installed. When I launch it, it says I'm to early. The weird part is that I have auto downloads disabled, so I don't know how it would have downloaded it.
So how do I know if it's actually downloaded and not just a 34.9 Gigabyte place holder? I would prefer to have it installed before the 6th so that I'm not using up peak bandwidth when everyone else needs it too.
So if you are on Xbox One, is your Destiny 2 Base game 34.9 gigabytes on disk and do you also get the message "Your too early" when you launch it?
Thanks in advance..

I also have enough space that's not an issue.

The servers wont go live until Sept 6, which is why you are getting the "too early" message.

1 RispondiSame! I had it downloaded last week and when I went to see how much it took up (to see if it had downloaded it or not in the first place), it said 34 GB. This confused me since somewhere I had read that it was supposed to be like 68 GB or something. Like you, I don't know if this is a placeholder or if it is really had much there is. I'd like to know as well
