Nothing forced, cosmetic items are always a choice. Buy or don't!

$110 dollars of DLCs isn't really a choice when you get fvcked out of the game for not spending all that.

Here's hoping D2 won't have pay walls

Modificato da Ahhsenberg: 8/24/2017 7:33:28 PMI hate that idiotic excuse for microtransactions. They're bullshit no matter what form they take. The only exception for microtransactions are in free to play games, for obvious reasons.
-
Game development costs have skyrocketed in the last decade, even when you don't count inflation, yet the price of games have stayed the same despite all this. You're kidding yourself if you don't think supplemental income needs to come from somewhere.
-
*looks at activision's contract to Bungie giving them a couple million dollars
-
I kinda get why you don't like microtransactions, but it's the future of gaming unfortunately. I was really angry about the new shadow of war having micros.
-
Why is that such a big deal? Like I really don't understand the issue with microtransactions in single player games
-
It's common practice to use microtransactions as a way to fast track progress right? It makes it entirely plausible that the devs will intentionally make it harder to grind certain loot or items to incentivize purchases. The game may still be enjoyable though. It hasn't been an outrageous problem for console games yet, but with games like shadow of war doing microtransactions for RNG based loot sets a dangerous precedent.
-
Thats not how they work, they either add the best items to micro transactions or in the case of in game drop items they reduce drop rates to encourage buying. Micro transactions are never neutral. Even more unethical is the lottery aspect and aiming them squarely at kids.

Boosters aren't cosmetic. Also exact same model as Call of Duty. Started as cosmetic 4 yrs ago, look at it now. Destiny' now hits it's 4th year, I'm expecting much more than cosmetics
