for the love of god remove sbmm from d2. i have to play the same people over and over again and it just becomes impossible to play casually. it was a nightmare in destiny 1 and i don't want that to drag over to d2
-
Simple just make Quickplay a mode that doesn't track kd. Then the kd farmers will move on and we can have some fun without the pressure of ability in the back of people's minds. Lower level players will always use kd as a marker so it should be like Gambit which apparently won't track kd.
-
Some people just don't read. Casual will be connection based and Competitive will be skill based. Too easy if people read without bitching.
-
You can play casually. You just can't play causually....and win.
-
1 RispondiPlay casually? So what you want is to play games against a guy like me you can stomp all over (and probably tea bag). How's that for me? I go in against similar folks, sure it's tough for me but that's my level. I play a game that is competitive for my level. But no, you want to have an easy game. Which implies you want to drop in on players like me and smack us around. Oh joy for you. Yes, please Bungie turn off sbmm so Jane McButthurt here can have fun. You probably also bitch about 4v4 as too sweaty.

3 RisposteWhy is it that only the upper tier players feel punished for playing against their peers? It's proportionately no more challenging than Johnny No Thumbs vs Johnny No Thumbs...

2 RisposteI wonder if there could somehow be a TBMM (Time Based Match Making) element. Example - I play on the Weekends, maybe 8 hours total for Friday Saturday and Sunday combined. Being put up against kids who play 30 hours during the week is frustrating. Now, this is less of a complaint, more of a wondering what the community thinks about it. I get stomped on / stomp others / have good matches in Destiny, so I can't complain. It's just rough when I haven't played for a bit and get my face melted when I try and start playing again! Takes a bit to get back to where I was, and if I left at a higher skill, then I will be put right back there. Maybe your skill rating decays a little as time passes? I don't know, just spitballing here! Like I said, I'd love honest (but respectful) feedback to my ideas - and if you're critical, please explain why and not just "YUR DUMM BC...REEZONS *drools on keyboard*" Super excited for D2...gonna be a blast!

8 RisposteThere should be SBMM in destiny.. But a better version of it.. People that are good at the game should face each other every match. Hopefully bungie implemented a elo type score for players to match against one another better. If I'm a 1 k/d and my friends are to. We should always face people that hover around a 1k/d. Not people with 3+k/d 50 hours a weekend no life try hards. Shit is annoying.

23 RisposteThe most respected played PVP game Overwatch has SBMM in their games. Simply in any PVP game SBMM is a must to have otherwise it generates unfair games. Anyone asking otherwise is just hoping to stump weaker players. It maybe fun for one side but is totally unfair for the other side. Bungie needs to say a stop to PVP whiners once for all. Or else they will loose their game.
-
4 RisposteIt's not fair when I come up against players of my skill level! Oh wait that's the very definition of fair games. Stop crying or lose loads of games to lower your "skill"

Modificato da Willakkuma: 8/5/2017 12:45:16 AMCouple things. You greatly exaggerate , like so many others here. My warlock is top .3% and .6% and i get fresh matches. You're not fooling anyone with your low bracket. You realize there was announced match making shift with emphasis on cbmm and less sbmm back on 12/8/16, don't you? Plenty of us here saw our numbers sky rocket after because we got more matches vs folks like you, otherwise we'd have never known where we stood. You think it's rough now, i'd love to see you pre- 12/8/16. Don't worry, D2 relief inbound for the hapless such as yourself that drove this shooter into uninspired and uninteresting mediocrity . This D1pvp isn't going to be changed. There's no more help left to give.

Im just tired of being forced into SBMM, i want quickplay to be CBMM.
-
To those out there who want SBMM in the quick play playlist, you try play the same 3 people for 50 matches in a row. THE SAME PEOPLE. It gets boring fast. How about you play as a top 1% player, lets see how fair it is when you get 1 hour waiting times to find a match only to find out that the people you are playing against are the exact same people that you have been playing against for 6 months straight. Not to mention its so -blam!-ing laggy that there's no point in even playing in the first place. 1-4 second damage delay is the norm for me, that's connection on a good day -.- as someone who lives in Australia. My first few matches in D2 were amazing! there was no lag and i managed to get a 35+ KDA, is it fair that i completely destroyed those people? YES it absolutely is, you shouldn't be sheltered from better players. Getting destroyed every couple of games is how you improve. Its how i improved, if you find that you just cant concentrate in pvp and never get anywhere then play it with the mind set that winning doesnt matter OR just dont play it. Simple as that. Its not fair to shelter all the bad players and force the top 1% to play in a player pool of 100-300 people when there are upwards of 500 000 people online. By the time i got to my 3rd game of control in the D2 beta i had already started matching with the same -blam!-ing people that i played against in d1 for 2 YEARS and to make it worse i didnt just start matching up with them once and that was it, it was every game consecutively. I had like 7 rematches with the same people going between both gametypes. That is terrible straight up. Sure i have no problem with them being tougher players to defeat but my friends barely play crucible so i end up in a situation where i willingly go into crucible games with my friends and they get 0-5 kills.. Thats basically a 1 v 4.. so it ends up with me having a nice comfortable game with good competition but my friends have a really shit experience and then no longer want to play with me. SBMM ONLY belongs in competitive game types. The quickplay playlist needs to have NO SBMM
-
2 RisposteRemove it from Quickplay, as well as fireteams. Leave it in the other playlist. YR1 of D1 with no SBMM was fun due to the unexpected wins and losses.
-
13 Risposte1. A poorly written SBMM algorithm should not exist on p2p servers. 2. SBMM should not exist without a visible ranking system 3. SBMM should not be a thing in quickplay.. P2p is p2p so expect another 3 years of rng gun fights against players of similar skill from far away countries....
-
4 RisposteI imagine the lower player population numbers at this stage of Destiny's life cycle are exacerbating this. Skill based match making works a lot better when there is a large population and even higher skill tiers still have lots of close options. Hopefully what we'll see in D2 is a way to select both, a more casual connection-based playlist and a more competitive skill-based list.

3 RispostePlay how you want quit worrying about winning.
-
5 RisposteLets also do away with the Special Olympics and make them compete in the regular Olympics.
-
You do at the moment as the player base is so small. However until we play D2 we are not sure of the impact of SBMM and with a higher player base it may not be so noticeable.

2 RisposteModificato da ICanDodgeABullet: 8/5/2017 3:57:06 AMand cbmm is going to connect you to the strongest green bars which is ideally the locals to your region... so its the same scenario all over.. only now if you have some absolute killers in your area, youll be complaining theyre always stomping you and cbmm sucks... so can we get to option 3 already? do you have one?
-
Modificato da BannedGlitta: 8/4/2017 1:31:02 AMAs a fairly skilled player myself, I disagree somewhat. We cannot havr one or the other, we need both. There needs to be a ranked and social/ casual play list. We need a choice, we shouldn't be forced to play one or the other.
-
Wait you want to play competitively but not have to try. Makes perfect sense.
-
At below a 1.0, I don't see how you match sweaty players lol
-
-
At least for me, the problem with SBMM is the almost constant lag it creates, and i'm not even a top tier player. I don't get lobbies with other players in my region because they limit the players you can be matched with by skill, and have to extend the distance of the search area to fill the lobby. I remember playing on a new account that i made, and although the competition was easier, the lag problems were still there. Doesn't really matter what your skill level is, you are not getting the best possible connection if they exclude players who don't fit the skill criteria but you would connect well with. Although creating a close and a competetive game was the intention, in reality lag plays a bigger role than skill in the outcome, that's what's truly wrong with this system.

4 RisposteOnly skill D1 has is red bar and slide shotgun, quick scope snipe, magnetic grenade to super kills, the gunplay is laughable.
