I like the new layout. I also don't want almost every Ultra fight to be a snipe fest again because of the ammo economy and the amount of damage that snipers deal at all distances compared to other secondary weapons, and the fact that you always have to keep a distance from Ultras to avoid getting stomped on. It got boring to me... I hope more boss fights (not just raid bosses) are mechanics based instead of bullet sponging stompers, but that might be asking for too much.

Now it's a Scout Rifle fight. So it takes three times longer. Bosses (going off Inverted Spire) still have Death Stomps & are sponges. Edit: As for mechanics. They need to be done. In most RPGs (yes D2 isn't an RPG anymore), dungeons (aka: Strikes) train players for raids via introducung mechanics in a less intense manner.

Hmm... Hopefully Bungie changes it up in other strikes. I'm hoping Ghaul offers a different challenge (assuming you battle him in the main story).
-
I' argue that's as much down to poor boss design (with the stomping). If they didn't all have the same attack pattern, we'd be able to fight them differently. It's not the weapons at fault there, if you have to stay at long range a sniper is the best for the job.
-
Modificato da HyperVigiIant: 7/29/2017 3:57:47 PMNothing to argue about! I'm not blaming the weapons, though. I actually mentioned mechanics multiple times. I was the one who brought up the stomping.
-
The strike boss in the beta was the same as any other Destiny boss. In the last phase he mostly just runs around trying to stomp you lol.
-
Hopefully other bosses are different...
-
It would've been fine if the strike boss wasn't the same bulletsponge gatelord reskin again. The new system doesn't work against those crappy bosses.
-
Unfortunately, reskins are a signature Bungie thing. 😞
-
People snipe bosses from afar mainly because of the bosses OHK stomp abilities. How many last phase wipes did you see on protheon because he gets all stompy in the last damage phase?
-
Tell me, what did you actually read?
-
Reading?? What's that?

Modificato da HyperVigiIant: 7/29/2017 4:00:41 PMThere's actually someone with the same pic as you, who replied to my post! It sort of confused things (no offence). :D I was basically saying that the Ultras need more diverse mechanics to promote a more diverse play style. So we're on the same page!
-
Ahh i see i didnt get what you meant and was getting ready to go full on troll mode... glad we cleared that up! 😂
-
Might've been fun to read! Ha!

So you really enjoy peppering a boss with your primary for 5 minutes? You have no standards in life.
-
Furthermore, this is a game. You must have no standards in life if you base life's standards on a game.

Modificato da HyperVigiIant: 7/29/2017 8:04:36 AMWow! Your comprehension skills are off the roof! The other guy understood me just fine. What happened to you? D:

I wouldn't mind a bit of mechanics in strike bosses. But, dear, think how hard raids are with communication when you have bad players, I don't want to be redoing strikes because some people can't stand on a plate. Of course strikes would be rather simple mechanics, Sepiks perfected wasn't bad, shield bros was good too with a bit of variety, same with wretched eye. Changing arenas, more Mobile bosses, having to shoot shield generators or activiting bombs and luring the boss into them would be cool too.
-
I like the one strike with the knight that slams the ground with some weapon. It was something different but hopefully we get more unique bosses like that.
-
Yep! The Sunless Cell boss was one of my faves!
-
Yeah that was the one!
-
Modificato da HyperVigiIant: 7/29/2017 6:20:21 AMI wouldn't expect all boss mechanics to be as challenging as raid ones because raids are meant to be the hardest challenge! :D I just like variety. I just want a more varied play style to be encouraged (especially before DLC this time).
