The beta has plenty of threads going up at the moment. Most of them are people who accidentally took a shower in salt water instead of regular water this morning, but there is definitely plenty of feedback out there.
Regardless of the beta's issues (edit: I do think that the beta does have a few issues), are we all able to agree that the Homecoming mission is by far a step in the right direction for story missions?
There's actual cinematics, you can see NPCs fighting in-game, and you can even revive Commander Zavala if he dies.
And Ghaul seems like a pretty menacing villain already when compared to the lack of a "real" villain in Destiny 1's vanilla story. Edit: Not saying Ghaul is like an amazing villain, just saying when compared to D1 he's better.
Even if Destiny 2's story isn't anything groundbreaking, it already looks better then Destiny 1's story, in my opinion.
Edit: Not trying to say that it's the best mission in any game ever or something, just saying it's much better than Destiny 1.
Edit 2: A lot of people are getting the message that I think negativity is just salt because of my "took a shower in salt water" comment above. This isn't the case at all.
I'm all for negativity if it helps the game. The salt water comment was just a sarcastic joke about the people saying "F U Bungie, the beta is trash." That has no useful feedback whatsoever. The same goes for positive feedback. Saying "Fantastic beta Bungie, good job!" is nice and all, but it doesn't explain why the beta was good, thus it doesn't really have any feedback.
Multiple people now have misunderstood my original point, so I just wanted to clarify this. I don't think negativity is just salt, it was just a joke is all.

My only complaint for the Beta is that it was only one story mission, one strike, and PvP (which I give 0 shits about), and that I couldn't try out the path of the sharpshooter (path of the outlaw was still pretty good though). Other than that, it just made me more excited for the full game.

2 RisposteThe ability to shade every individual armor peice seperately is going to make for some good looking guardians. And some exquisitely ugly ones.
-
7 RisposteI am glad the ghost dies. I hate that ghost. Bring back Dinklebot!!!!
-
I must admint that the npc's in Destiny 2's beta were amazing, along with the pve mechanics outside of weapon handling, performance, and economy; which were disgusting.
-
8 RisposteYou can't deny Ghaul has some of the most BADA$$ villain lines in D2 history. (Much better than "GIVE YOUR LIGHT TO ME!")
-
8 RisposteHomecoming was great. What isn't great are the salty conclusion jumpers who are basing everything off of an old beta build. Chill and enjoy it.
-
For the most part Bungie has no where to go but up. So a step in the right direction should be no surprise at all. Bungie owes us, they owe everyone who bought Destiny day 1 a truly polished sequel.

1 RispondiModificato da Unforgiven: 7/26/2017 6:14:40 AMWho else was mapping people with Fusion, it is so much more powerful than any other heavy right now. It is accurate, has great range, large magazine and is a guaranteed 1 shot. Guess what is getting nerfed next.

The taken king did the same thing, the last mission didn't require a cut scene but actual pretty ingame graphics and content. When the door to Oryx' chamber lit up and he appeared, that was the best story moment in Destiny. Just because D1 had few cut scenes doesn't mean that's all D2 needs to do.
-
4 RisposteWait, you can revive zavala? Thats a tbagging opportunity i missed then coz zavala never died on my playthoughs
-
Well yeah it's currently gen, these are expected

1 RispondiMy only real comment against the D2 build thus far is that golden gun in PvE is significantly under powered in my opinion. Arcstrider feels fun Warlocks nova bomb tracks but only tracks one so in crucible it can be quite hilarious but much less devastating than the original The Warlock whooshy sword is nice but again lacks any real punch against bigger targets The new fist of panic is better as you get to roam with it The captain America is also fun.
-
1 RispondiThe farm has chickens
-
For me, it's having no lagging strobing players in Crucible, like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Bs33FfNt5Y Even Trials I was pretty much guaranteed to have one or more lagging player, so this isn't the drop from 6v6 to 3v3. It's because they have host servers now, there is no host advantage and they can't harvest your IP address for skanky IP crap.
-
I agree that the first mission Homecoming is a step in the right direction. I just hope that the whole game is like that and not just the first mission.
-
The music, cinematics, and gun play are great.
-
2 RisposteThe new gun foundry has pretty cool guns.
-
Crucible is much better and I'm really enjoying the new weapon system
-
Not sure if it will continue but nice to get an exotic without going through an impossible puzzle or ever going mission just to find out the weapon sucks.
-
2 RisposteSo ... in your mind all criticism is false? Ok, good luck with that.
-
Destiny 1 Vanilla had no story. It was ripped up and pieces of it were cobbled back together. It had HUGE story potential had Bungie stayed with the original idea.
-
Modificato da mic high a42O: 7/25/2017 6:01:24 AMThe 8 man strike. That's about it tho
-
Arcstrider animation is pretty good.
-
4 Rispostethe taken king was a great dlc and i think luke smith done great things with the direction of the story. im really keen to play through dedtiny 2s story

Personally, I like the changes. Maybe abilities need a slight boost to damage, because right now, it seems like the only point of nades are to stop recovery (I mailed a hunter btw). I especially think leaving all 1HK weapons in the same spot was genius. This way, Bungie wont have to spend so much time nerfing everything, because all the super powerful weapons are on the same level. I can DEFINITELY tell that pvp is finally more of a gun skill game rather than ability spams. Honestly, I played entirely on hunter, and only warlocks and Titans for the story. I was a hunter day 1 in d1, and I'm not changing that tradition. One thing, I will admit, is that warlocks need tweaking. Me and my friends made jokes about how 90% of teams we came across were Titans and hunters. Very few warlocks. It's easy to see why, I went 1 on 1 with a warlock. He nova bombed me, and I easily shotgunned him and dodged the bomb. It seems like it just moves way too slow. As for the class ability, maybe a little overshield when they use it? A lot of times they get killed in the animation, or so I've seen. TLDR: 1hk weapons feel more balanced being all in the same category, pvp actually feels fun because everyone's on a level playing feild, and warlocks are equally as powerful as a magician from a little kid's birthday party

Rocket launcher still works pretty good in d2. Totally vaporized a dude yesterday in pvp.💥
