D2 Beta is kind of disappointing
Not going to lie I was excited for the beta today. Then I downloaded and played it. Felt like more of the same from the original. I do understand beta is not the finished product. However if I am going to spend my money on a brand new shiny Destiny I would like to be able to see some of these new features and not just play 1 of 2 PVP maps and a Strike mission. At least with the original Destiny Beta I got the opportunity to learn about my character, learn about the abilities and to grow some with the character. This beta basically told me, "You know the drill...have at it." Very hard to get into a game that gives you more of the same and none of the new. Shouldn't we be testing out the new stuff to make sure it works properly and get use to it?

In all honesty I think that the gameplay is a lot worse than D1 at least in PvE.

I believe it's supposed to more of a network beta than anything, not a demo. But if you aren't sure about D2, then you can always wait until after launch and you see more footage/reviews.

Destiny 2 is basically a DLC we should have got in destiny 1. Recycle re-hash re-use!

I'm not a fan at all, not liking this two primary rubbish and dont get me started on the abilities. Getting rid of random gun perks also is a bit rubbish, just going to make getting the same gun over and over even worse now, at least in destiny 1 there was variety in duplicate weapons. Even though I want to carry the Destiny story on, cant see myself buying this game until the "Taken Queen" edition comes out

20 RisposteThe more I play it, the more I like it. Love the way the weapons feel and I like having 2 primary weapons. I've played all 3 guardians and they all feel great to me. It's not perfect but it's not supposed to be. It's an earlier build for Beta. Can't wait for the full game.

1 RispondiAside from the fact that this a beta and not a demo, i don't feel the disappointment that i was expecting. When i originally bought Destiny, i bought it for: -the exploration -the different gear you can collect -how good it felt to shot aliens. Playing the D2 beta showed me the potential that there is when the actual game comes out: [u]Exploration[/u]- I mean, i have spent countless hours just checking every possible area that we can access during the strike and that is just a little part of Nessus. Hell, Nessus it's the least interesting location and the least i'm looking foward to explore. The amount of time i will spent exploring IO will be ridiculous. [u]Gear[/u]- this needs no explanation whatsoever. [u]Feeling while shooting aliens[/u]- while I'm not a fan of the Cabal race as a whole, the shooting is still fun as hell as long as they gives us more opportunities to use our abilities(like in the Homecoming mission for example). It can get annoying and frustrating if you have to fight them with weapons alone. Other than that, fighting the fallen that spawn at the beginning of the strike have to be the highlight in this beta for me. They are so much fun to fight against. They seems to have improve the AI of the fallen.

I understand your sentiment here, and I also understand PTC's sentiment, we can't expect everything, this is not the main beta, this is more of a stress test, with pre-purchase early access to it. I feel like the smart move would've been to show more off, in order to gain the faith of people that feel burned by Destiny 1, however, that wasn't the point of this beta, so... if ya wanna experience the full game, buy it. This beta was enough to get me to preorder Destiny 2 (it actually had some story, in the first mission even!)(don't call it D2, that's Diablo!).

5 RisposteI'm still buying because I'm invested in the story. I just can't quit cold turkey after 2 years. Hopefully PvE turns out to be better than what's in the beta. They claim to have fixed a few issues and we're playing a few months old beta. But PvP. As for PvP..... I'll be playing the team shot meta very sparingly. It's so boring. Might as well rename it 4v1 Pain Train. I've mercied more control matches in this beta because of that tactic than I ever have in my entire D1 career. It's saddening and downright disappointing. It's one thing to use teamshot as a tactic, but to make it mandatory is an entirely different concept. And don't get me started on "efficiency."

I played the whole strike with just a hand cannon and killed the boss..... With a hand cannon. Just dull boring and uninventive 2 hunter class...... Arc strider is slow, clunky, literally rubbish. 3 hunter dodge is a one trick pony you can only use once every 2 mins with no actual gaming advantage because...... O right they don't want you spamming it in pvp 4 pvp being all 4v4 just destroys any novelty and fun because, well, they are all the same game with a slightly altered mechanic 5 all those who said the strike is a mini raid? No, raids have puzzles and team work, it was still a point and shoot exercise 6 the script for the ghost was condescending and out right annoying. With a silent character I feel so disconnected to my character, as a ghost pats me on the head and says "good on ya champ" while I jut blankly stare at him, I hate my ghost now and hope he dies 7 the whole game lost its magic, playability and scope. You're locked in to just playing with one gun you give a crap about for the whole game with nothing new or fresh. Shame, I had real hopes for his game

1 RispondiI prefer the lack of content in the beta, that leaves us more things to do at launch, bungie was because they learned that giving 25% of the game is not smart because at launch we would have been severely underwhelmed my the lack of content

Detail what you don't like about those things you've mentioned. What about it felt the same? What features did you [i]like[/i]? I believe it's it's important to stress both so that Bungie can grow from it.

Nothing... they have only add a 2 after the game name SBM is a f****ng s**t because everyone has different connection, but it still here and crucible is laggy as in D1 or even worst. What's your problem with connection based matchmaking? And what is your problem with dedicated servers? No money to do it? If so, you could ask to the community, add a "PREAYER FOR DEDICATED SERVERS" t-shirt and we will buy it! 25 bucks for as donation for less laggy games! They also hit the goal to ruin the game menu "options btn on ps4", thank you bungie! Now the faster way to check what friends are doing and who is online is to use whatsapp.. Thank you thank you thank you, hope that game will different.. EDIT: I almost forgot the new slowest countdown for abilities, the new system for purple ammo and the super that finishes in a blink (if you are lucky enough to kill at least 15 guys to charging it..)

Nothing but cry babies on this forum. It's funny because most of you guys cried so much about destiny 1, now when they make pvp how you want it and the story how you want it, you bitch some more about a stress test beta. Sad.
