Not going to lie I was excited for the beta today. Then I downloaded and played it. Felt like more of the same from the original. I do understand beta is not the finished product. However if I am going to spend my money on a brand new shiny Destiny I would like to be able to see some of these new features and not just play 1 of 2 PVP maps and a Strike mission. At least with the original Destiny Beta I got the opportunity to learn about my character, learn about the abilities and to grow some with the character. This beta basically told me, "You know the drill...have at it." Very hard to get into a game that gives you more of the same and none of the new. Shouldn't we be testing out the new stuff to make sure it works properly and get use to it?

its more a tech demo then a beta ill agree to that.
-
The full game isn't even out yet.
-
2 RisposteSo you are saying the sequel feels like the same game as before. Wow
-
Well, tbh, what do you expect? They are not trying to redo the faults of Destiny 1. One of those faults was the beta. They released all of earth and the first mission on the moon. In my opinion, they are playing it smart this time around.

5 RisposteMore of the same?????? Game feels hella slow!!!! Destiny 1 feels way more crisp. This beta is cool and all, but man this game feels like it's going to bore me within the first few days. I sincerely hope they do something about the slowness because the shit is realllllly wack. Something just feels off....really off.

Seriously disappointing.... more of the same, but everything is nerfed and crappy.
-
Bumpitybump and agreed
-
this beta is no more disappointing than d1 is in its "entirety"
-
2 RisposteDefinitely doesn't feel like a step forward... Unfortunately... 😢

9 Risposteand the lack of different perks on specific guns is going to be the downfall of this game. Keep getting the same gun over and over after pvp matches... What the hell am i playing for? lol Horrible decision to stop randomizing gun perks.
-
More of the same? It feels worse than Destiny 1.

1 RispondiI'm just hoping D2 is not a DLC and has sufficient content to maintain enjoyment for as long as D1 originally did (recent DLC's didn't have the content or grind to keep me coming back. Once I had everything what else was there to do...) I don't know what I was hoping for, maybe new characters not reworked supers??? It felt like D1 and I know it needs similarities but there needs to be freshness... Please surprise us Bungie!!!

3 RisposteI'd have preferred more of the same, actually. If nothing else, I like having a Super every three or four minutes, as opposed to one every ten.

Here's some gun play for people. https://youtu.be/UISVbLFZriU

4 RisposteDoes anyone know the times whem the farm will open?

Destiny 2 beta was great... it was clearly made for the people who have played D1. A quick storyline where you see the collapse of the tower where we have all spent countless hours. And then a strike and some PVP to demonstrate the graphical and physical differences from D1. D1 was fuxking incrdible and i glad that they are giving us a very similar game to play, just think of it as a D1 dlc with a big game overhaul at the same time.
-
It's a huge -blam!- you to all of us.

I agree with you simply for the fact that I've put 3300+ hours into D1 and comparing it to the destiny 2 beta it feels too similar. I get it's the same general game but why should I spend 60 dollars on destiny 2 if I've already spent x amount on such a similar game from what I've seen the beta was a low ball to the people who preordered. TBH people who preordered should've got more than the open beta did maybe access to the farm all beta because yet instead of making it worth a 60 dollar preorder I was just sitting playing other games after nailing the first story mission in the beta on all 3 characters I played 2ish matches of quickplay on each character then I hoped off only to realize it wasn't what I had hoped out of bungie... Bungie you've gone two steps forward with creating amazing content for D1 Yet when destiny 2 has its beta you literally go 4 steps back and say sorry we can't give you more than this(why not) what's there too lose? Is it the fact if you show more that maybe people won't keep their orders?its kind of shady when you give us a destiny 1 experience but you title it destiny 2 what difference is there? I get that weapons game modes and even subclasses are different but keep in mind this is basically just another sandbox update I was expecting something a little more for the fans for the hardcore destiny fans in this beta there is nothing worth my time...

5 RisposteGrow with your character?....we don't even talk!
-
4 Rispostemy biggest thing is subclass customization...this layout blows
-
I WISH it felt like more of the same. I'd be happy with that. But to me it feels like one giant nerf.

They have turned pvp into a full time sweat fest! Basically forcing you to play whatever the meta is or will be. I don't want to get on have to go into try hard mode every game and I'm sure most casual players don't want that either. No more saying I just want to have fun and try this weapon out this game. The movement feels clunky asf compared to d1 and the hit registration is garbage most games. I feel like I am forcing myself to like the game just because it is destiny.

9 RisposteI agree. I played a bit of the beta and I was sufficiently dissatisfied to switch back to D1. I'm not liking the new weapon slots. Two primaries and one power leaves you very dependent on the power weapon for the stronger enemy types. And if you don't have power ammo then you're stuck waiting for your abilities to cool down. And if you don't have that, you're basically in cover waiting around. I realize Bungie said they've adjusted power ammo drops, but your damage output as a guardian is still not good enough. Either that, or enemy health is still too high. Admittedly I've played as just a warlock, but I thought the entire dawn blade subclass was weak. You just don't feel powerful; you FEEL like a guardian in D1 and that does not translate in D2. The super's effectiveness was very underwhelming (maybe that's intentional though, as part of the traveller being taken so I will reserve judgement there). Similarly, jumps for the warlock are even more floaty than before, which is actually absurd because they're pretty bad in D1 as is. If there is platforming in the raid or in multiple strikes, be prepared to revive very frustrated warlocks over and over again. Lastly, the weapons don't feel quite right, I don't know what it is, and maybe I'm nitpicking but something feels a little off-- they're not as crisp or as satisfying as they are in D1. Then again, I recall reading somewhere that Jason Jones, who typically has been responsible for "secret sauce" in Bungie's games, was not involved in D2, so maybe that's why. As of right now, I'm cautiously optimistic about D2. I realized I'm OK with a wait and see approach, which is unfortunately a little disappointing to me because I love Bungie's games (I remember waiting in line at a midnight release for Halo 3).

I'm just disappointed how hard it is for some ppl to complete the strike 😤

8 RisposteD2 beta sucks. Pvp is ruined by this team shot bullshit. You cannot be a lone wolf and rise to the top in pvp. It strips you of your skill
