Not going to lie I was excited for the beta today. Then I downloaded and played it. Felt like more of the same from the original. I do understand beta is not the finished product. However if I am going to spend my money on a brand new shiny Destiny I would like to be able to see some of these new features and not just play 1 of 2 PVP maps and a Strike mission. At least with the original Destiny Beta I got the opportunity to learn about my character, learn about the abilities and to grow some with the character. This beta basically told me, "You know the drill...have at it." Very hard to get into a game that gives you more of the same and none of the new. Shouldn't we be testing out the new stuff to make sure it works properly and get use to it?

8 RisposteYou're an idiot lol. There's plenty of change. What you're looking for is a completely different game. Go play division or rainbow six loser.

5 RisposteOK... I more see some "good news/bad news" here. Is it disappointing? Yes, it is. I don't like the way the Crucible has gone, and I don't like the way it seems to have taken many aspects of PvP down with it. Is it horrible? No. Environemnts are great, effects are gorgeous, story is engaging. All the stuff that would take thousands of man-hours to code is very sound. Bungie seems to have landed the stuff they really needed to get right. Is it salvagable? Yes! The weapon system is not ideal, it's true. But sidearms and SMG's still have the potential to be decent close-in killers, and can still be used to create very potent loadouts. All Bungie needs to do is increase some weapon power settings, reduce Super cooldown time, buff the grenades a bit (recharge and power both), and some other similar adjustments.

6 RisposteIt's a freaking beta damn kids wanting the full game as a beta just so y'all can bitch an whine about everything there is.
-
2 RisposteThe D1 beta is reason #1 as to why people thought D1 had no content. We played WAY too much of the game in the beta so by the time september rolled around, we already played 1/4 of the game.
-
The beta is apparently a months old build, who knows how many months.. I do not know why bungie is having us play on an old build, but its really really poor foresight for them.. It doesnt give us a good idea of the game, and then we are not able to give good feedback.
-
No, your getting older.
-
3 RisposteI don't know what you expected.
-
3 RisposteYou mean you didn't pre order? Gtfo quit whining. Go play something else no one gives a shit.

I really hope they change a lot and the beta is just a beta. All the guns seems boring. The game in general seemed boring. The only thing that kept me going is the feeling of it being new. That won't last very long when it comes out. Something feels so wrong with the movement as well.

1 RispondiI do wish we had a patrol and got to test out one or two public events but oh well

1 RispondiModificato da EpicN: 7/25/2017 4:07:51 PMBungie said that with the D2 beta, they wanted it to be a small slice of what the finished game would actually have. Bungie wanted to keep all of the content secret until the release. The D2 beta is more focused on testing of the game. The beta is also an older build, so most of the major issues have been corrected.
-
1 RispondiThe whole "it's a beta" is not a valid argument. The game is 2 months away, so it's pretty much a finished product. What they have now in the game is what the final product will be. It's way to late for them to fix the major things. Like putting snipers and shotguns in the heavy slot. A week hunter class, fixing the horrible nova bomb and more. I'm sure they didn't take all this time to make a separate game. What you see is what you get.
-
2 RisposteI disagree with this post. The D2 Beta is not mildly disappointing.
It's massively disappointing.
most games you buy based on a few people opinion and the cover of the game. feel lucky you got to play any of it.
-
Yeah much less content than the first beta. But the world changes they're making look like they will be a lot better than D1. A lot of the fun of the series is in exploring the world. If they can keep it where you never feel like you've seen it all, D2 will be amazing. But doing so will require a lot of focus on making and maintaining a living dynamic world that they originally promised for the franchise.

Modificato da Hey, You’re Finally Awake: 7/24/2017 7:04:25 PM

Yeah. If this is all the game has to offer, I'm glad I didn't preorder and I am glad I didn't commit to buying it on day one. I'll just wait until it goes on sale
-
Don't know why you expected so much. They even told us all of what we were gonna get a few weeks prior.

8 RisposteModificato da contra_reality: 7/23/2017 9:41:41 AMBetas in games are not really like betas in other software. Gaming companies aren't really trying to error test their code but they set out to accomplish 2 things 1) stability test: will servers remain stable under realistic traffic 2) sell the game: this is more important for new games that are not already established. That being said, comparing or expecting this beta to be anywhere near as extensive as the D1 beta is simply misguided. Bungie doesn't need to sell Destiny 2, Destiny 1 has pretty much sold it already. The player base that would buy simply because it's Destiny is large enough to guarantee a profit from preorders alone. It is expected that most of those that would buy Destiny 2 have played Destiny 1. Simply put, there really is no need to reintroduce people to Destiny. For the most part, we have a general idea how things level up and what to expect. Because of this, Bungie only really needs to test network stability. Usually this is done by opening high traffic content, namely PvP. If you think about it, at any given moment the two activities that bring the most traffic are raids and PvP. We all know they're not going to include the raid in Beta. Basically they've included the first mission in hopes of giving warm and fuzzies that they're is story and a strike to give the impression of having strikes with mechanics (2 main criticisms of D1 from a PvE perspective). The real intended star is PvP, the activity that will account for the greatest network traffic. TL;DR the Beta is less extensive because the series has advanced past the point of needing an extensive Beta

Kind of? KIND OF?!??!?

I agree. More of the same, but downgraded. Everything, including the beloved nova bomb, is slower. Everything is weaker. And they didn't fix some of the big problems: spawn kills, getting killed through walls, fusion's not firing a full burst, hit detection in general, etc. At least there are no more RED bars.....

5 RisposteModificato da PR4X1S: 7/23/2017 1:33:46 AMTotally feels like a Destiny 1 DLC, only one they've buggered up. I had such high hopes for it now feel kinda betrayed, it's not better it's actually worse the guns are weaker powers are weaker and slower to charge, dam I could fire off a Nova bomb then run past it because it travels so slow😬, void warlock was my favorite now it's the worst. The new layout of powers isn't good either, such a shame my hopes have been dashed, thanks bungie I knew I couldn't trust you.
-
I only have one complaint they saying now this is a old build. The release is not far away so now im sceptical
-
its more a tech demo then a beta ill agree to that.
