It will make less diversity. There will be one gun in each archetype with the best roll and everyone will use it. If an archetype has no good roll then no one uses that archetype.

There will definitely be best rolls. Thats just because people are competitive and nothing bungie can do. But to me having a choice from three handcannons and three good perk setups is better than just one.

Currently in destiny 1 from what I can tell most people are only using a single weapon (or two) out of every weapon class with very specific perks. Why not cut out the middle man of farming for hours if not days for solid perks?

Because people totally don't just use one perfect roll anyways.Look at the current Palindrome/Luna craze. Instead of obsessively chasing a god roll on one gun, just get the gun. It's much better.
