I really hope this isn't true. Grinding for that perfect gun is what made destiny so replayable.

Bwahahahaha! Every announcement makes me ask: "Why do I want or need this game?" I have yet to find a convincing reason. Destiny 2 is a PvP game. Ya'll can't deny that now.
-
With each report it really sounds like they're dumbing the game down.
-
Part of the promise is that there will be more meaningful content so there's less need to fill time with RNG grinding
-
Best news ever. Now we can all have the same weapons just like halo. This will save us time. We don't need to grind for G rolls anymore. Hopefully they will announce the same thing for armor soon. Because we don't want our characters to be different.
-
1 Rispondidestiny 2 is killing destiny 2
-
People say this game ain't go be competitive or everything to easy but when bungie changes stuff around an really try to balance pvp people complain. People act like everyone gonna suck ass in pve an pvp that's why you get gud.
if anything ima enjoy the two primaries slots because i switch my weapons more than i switch time zones. I like adapting to maps and the pace of the game mode.
-
Personally im cool with it I mean, i only ever really use the same raid and only a handful of other weapons. I wouldnt mind having set perks on guns, coming from a pve main who hates crucible. Then again, im a filthy casual
-
This is a big plus. My D1 vault was full of fairly good rolls of weapons that might become the next god roll weapon depending on the next nerf/buff cycle. In D2 I'd be able to discard all but one. Maybe I'd even be able to discard them all because this allows for the creation of Legendary kiosks. It solves the problem of what roll you'd get back from that kiosk. Sure it stops me (Pre AoT) having to grind through 30+ imagos looking for a Fatebringer like roll and having to decide which of the many imagos are worth keeping for imperfect but situationally useful perks. But I'm not so sure that's a downside.
-
I hope its true!
-
7 RisposteYou know all those balance problems Bungie's been having for the past three years? This might help.
-
Awesome
-
6 RisposteUh, were you here year 1? Fatebringer? Gjallarhorn? Mythoclast? All have the same stats and perks. . .
-
8 RisposteI assume there will be quite a bit more guns to choose from than in D1. Instead of getting 20 shitty eyasluna rolls, I assume you'll just get 20 different guns and that eyasluna you get is guaranteed good then. I'm cool with that. I also could be wrong
-
2 RisposteI think it will make loot more special honestly. Like the legendaries in borderlands. In D1, the legendaries are common and there's nothing special about any of them. You will be excited about getting a gun, instead of getting a gun and trashing it because it didn't have a good roll.
-
Y1 and 1/2 Y2 pvp, the fun/casual nature of strikes and the friends you made is what made Destiny so replayable. RNG loot is what made it frustrating.
-
I'll wait patiently and see for myself instead of freaking out; it's a video game if I don't like it I'll get my refund. End story no further worry.
-
3 RisposteIf that is true, I will cancel my pre-order. Randomized loot is what keeps hardcore players coming back to the game. For example, I have a PDX45 blueprint that keeps me coming back to the tower every Wednesday to see if I struck gold. I re-run nightfalls/strikes because I am looking for a specific stat or perk in the loot these activities drop. Why would people re-run the strikes such as Omnigul's after getting their first grasp of malok? There would be no reason for it if the rolls were standardized across all possible drops. If this is true, it means that the developers are pushing Destiny towards esport acceptance. The game will become too balanced, too predictable, and too boring to play it longterm.
-
1 RispondiWell, everybody was mad about all of the "blanket nerfs". Now they can zero in on a specific weapon, make changes to it, and it will only affect that one specific weapon. Don't get me wrong, I think it sucks that you can't grind for God Rolls anymore. That's one of my favorite things about Destiny; finding a certain gun that is good, then grinding for the perfect roll, for whatever I plan to use it for, PvE or PvP. But at least there won't be a bunch of blanket nerfs all the time.
-
10 RisposteAt this point all we can do is hope that the devs at BioWare troll this forum so they can learn exactly what NOT to do in Anthem. The more this game swirls the shitter, the more I hope Anthem is good.
-
Within a couple of months everyone will have everything. No more trying to get different, better rolls on guns. There will be no incentive to play anymore a few months after launch. With every new bit of news they put out they turn me away from this game more and more. This game wont last 3 years. Bungie should consider themselves lucky if it passes the one year mark.
-
Modificato da FreakinMitchell: 6/30/2017 7:27:05 PMHere's an idea, how about there are no perks on legendaries and all weapons in a specific archetype behave the same. Only the anesthetics change on each legendary. Only exotics get perks and the only differentiation is the skill of the player. Edit: or turn off legendary weapon perks in the crucible.
-
I agree, means some guns just won't be used, because they are all the same shit.
-
wow, I love the idea of Bungie curating all weapons, considering how many vendor weapons are good and fun to use! I can't even keep up the joke longer than that, this is a terrible decision and if true, I'm bailing on D2. I'm not looking to play pve CoD, with standardized weapons and gear. Bungie is clearly developing D2 with esports in mind and pve is going to be sacrifice for it. More supers are roaming, support supers got butchered and removed (sunsinger, still wondering about nightstalker), ability cooldowns are standardized, the weapon loadout and ammo changes, etc.. I like to play Destiny for the borderlands meets halo plus a dose of cartoony space magic, I'm not excited to play space CoD with neutered pve. How disappointing.
-
I wish they'd make Destiny 2 more like Diablo 3 and make the story itself repeatable and progressively more rewarding to play. I'm so sick of only playing strike missions, prison of elders, and crucible. There needs to be bigger, badder, and harder things to do than a daily story mission or weekly nightfall. The campaign needs to be part of the "end-game" content. It's silly to put so much effort into a campaign and story if your players will just rush through it and beat it one-and-done. Raids can't be the only thing people have to do to challenge themselves and their friends. A repeatable story with higher and higher difficulties (with corresponding rewards) would make the game so much better overall. Think of playing Halo on Legendary, but with the Destiny universe instead! Sorry for rant.

19 RisposteModificato da Symbology: 6/30/2017 7:10:40 PMLol, anyone can write anything and you plebs will believe it. If it's not from bungie I wouldn't trust it. Edit: no i didn't read the article. Apparently the quote is from Luke smith. Still gonna wait and see what happens in D2.

Modificato da w3rdblader: 6/30/2017 6:44:53 PMI think it's funny that people think this will change anything. Now, instead of having 6 different rolls on 6 different HC, there will me an imago roll, fatebringer roll, down and doubt roll, etc. In destiny there are 12 different handcannons that all have 12 possible RNG rolls. In destiny 2 there will be 12 different handcannons that all have their own specific roll. It still ends up being only 12 hand cannons and only 12 perks. So RNG on which gun drops will be the same factor as the RNG that affected perks.
yes the number 12 is just an example number, I'm sure there are more than 12 hand cannons and perks.
