I have one question that will probably never be answered because bungie avoids talking about it like its the plague. (Probably legal reasons due to contracts)
How long is the exclusivity of content going to be throughout the entirety of Destiny and its sequels on ps4? Will ps4 always have exclusive rights throughout the entirety destinys sequels? Is the contract already signed and set in stone for all of destinys sequels? If so we need and deserve to know.
Regardless of what our collective opinion is on exclusive content (I hate it btw), we still deserve to know who gets the extra content before hand in order to plan our future expenses and valuable time. Destinys hardcore fans want to play on the console that gives them the most content and bang for their buck for the foreseeable future.
Will microsoft ever get exclusives? If not we deserve to know.
Will ps4 always get the exclusives? If so we deserve to know (especially if D3 will carry our progress over)
Will PC ever get exclusives? If not we deserve to know.
I dont care if bungie tries to say that xbone and PC wont be missing out on the experience that is Destiny 2. What I want is to not miss out on the FULL experience that is Destiny 2, 3, 4 ect. ect. ect.
We deserve to know.

This is why Sony will continue putting the screws to Xbox gamers. Stop showing your hand.

6 RisposteNo one deserves anything, because of your entitled mindset you assume that the company actually has a relationship with you that goes beyond producer and consumer. It's like this with life NO ONE OWES YOU ANYTHING.

2 RisposteModificato da chickengoujohn93: 6/22/2017 11:21:25 AMThere's really nothing to say. Sony approached Bungie or Bungie approached Sony/Microsoft to create exclusives for a platform, the end. Don't know why people are still upset over this. Microsoft have/had their big line of timed third party exclusivity down the years such as... Call of Duty DLC (when it was in its prime) Fallout 3 and New Vegas DLC Skyrim DLC Grand Theft Auto IV DLC An entire game in Rise of the Tomb Raider The Division from early access DLC to exclusive content Suck it up or buy a Playstation.

5 RisposteIt will probably be the same as the last installment, and they already said they answer Reddit users before ever coming here. Why would they come here? The people here are generally uninformed, make wild assumptions and are incredibly toxic. I'm not saying Reddit is better, but they obviously consider them more capable of having a constructive conversation. You'd be better off posting on Reddit.

Ban this newb please. It's been 3 years and he still is using "honest" and "bungie" in the same sentence. For -blam!-s sake we all. Know bungie is a lot of things but honest isn't one of them. See 0.04% lie See raid with HoW lie I mean cmon
-
3 RisposteBe honest? I don't about you, but I play and Xbox One and acknowledge the fact that playstation will have right's to exclusive content for the next 7 years as long as they keep paying. I DON'T ever plan on getting any of those strikes, weapons, armor, anything. Maybe I just see things from a different point of view. Basically IDGAF. I'll play Destiny with whatever is available for Xbox and that is it.
-
Year exclusivity for Sony consoles. Year 2 was a special case because of Rise of Iron. I imagine these deals are made on a game by game basis. Marketing in exchange for exclusives. No, Xbone and PC won't be getting exclusives, but assuming it's a game by game contract between Sony and Activision, PS4 might not get any for Destiny 3. There's literally nothing else to say on the matter.
-
I honestly do not care. A strike, three armour sets that don't look that impressing and a cool sniper. Whatever.

PS4 has exclusives, BOX doesn't. That's really all you need to know

22 RisposteModificato da Zero the Remnant: 6/21/2017 4:43:57 AMThe exclusives are Extra content. Basically PS4 just gets first dibs to it. Much like most of the content for D1's DLCs. It is on disc in a manner of speaking yes. Everyone is getting THE FULL Destiny 2 experience. Everyone got THE FULL Destiny 1 experience. PS4 players however, got to play/experience Extra/Bonus content that was made specifically to be Extra/Bonus Content. Sony however was willing to pay for it. Microsoft did not have faith in Destiny & Bungie & did not. (If you look at Destiny 1's Vanilla game...you can argue that Microsoft made a smart choice. LMAO!) In fact Destiny was originally going to be a Microsoft Exclusive. But during development that changed, due to MS not wanting Bungie to work on anything other than Halo, having no faith in Destiny, & not wishing to put money into Destiny. Sony however sang a different tune. Below is an ariticle with links to the unsealed Destiny Contracts. It answers everything pretty much. Source: https://www.geek.com/games/bungies-destiny-was-originally-going-to-be-a-microsoft-exclusive-1604640/ There is no evil conspiracy. It's just business. To be fair/play devil's advocate, timed exclusive content that only last a few months has beemcome frowned upon as Gamers have shown to be paitent. Only long term exclusives hurt gamers enough to profit the developer & Console Maker. Why do I say hurt? The goal of Timed Exclusives is to force/promote/encourage the sale of the brand/console. 3 Month desls were ineffective. As many gamers vocally state. "1 Year is too long. It should be 3 months. I can wait 3 months." This is EXACTLY the point. (You is a generalization. Not directed at anyone.) If you can wait it out. Then the deal/contract made is NOT sufficient & profit isn't made. When the deal is strong enough that you cannot wait/are on the fence. Then it is doing its job. You have to think, while you were able to grit your teeth & hold your ground. Many others broke & bought said product because 1yr was too long. Microsoft proved this in the past during the PS3/360 era with GTA IV. However Microsoft didn't release the exclusive time table. Source: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/gtaiv-dlc-exclusive-for-14-months I hope this helps ease your burdens. Bungie/Sony are not in a dark corner rubbing their hands while cackling maniacally. It is just a deal for add-ons basically. Now...had they made the Raid exclusive... That would require riots & fighting in the streets.
-
Usually, the business practice that is "timed exclusive." Is kept quiet. The fact that they gave a time and date is strange that it might be released for the X-box is strange. Let's hope that if they have no intention of releasing them or if they do to not say anything. It seemed to anger the community either way, let them stay angry until they decide to release it.
-
If everything was exclusive, I wouldn't have several wives
-
There are not even answers to the questions you're asking. You want to know how long these exclusive deals will last for future dlcs and games and who can get them right? No one will know that until the deals are made (probably about half a year before the game or dlc is released). Just think about the current situation and speculate how it will go down. Don't currently has had all the exclusives because they had the bigger bid for Destiny 1 exclusives. Since Sony is now a partner with Bungie/Activision for Destiny exclusives, and Bungie knows that Sony is willing to pay for them, Bungie will always go to Sony first when it comes to exclusives. That's simple business relations, you stick with you're partner. In doing this, Sony gets more destiny players on their console and Bungie gets Sony's free advertising of Destiny. If Sony ever chooses not to buy the next set of exclusives, then I have no doubt that Bungie would offer it to Microsoft, but that will only happen if their current business partner refuses.
-
Let Sony have their little exclusives. They need all the help they can get since the PS is the only thing left making money for them.
-
1 RispondiBuy a PS4 or get over it already.

Modificato da Technohydra: 6/21/2017 7:33:31 PMIt's pretty simple. Yes, PS4 will likely have exclusives for the entire run of the Destiny franchise, as long as it's foreseen to remain at the usage levels that it's seeing now. there are roughly twice as many PS4 units out there as Xbox One units (across all models), and Sony wants to do whatever they can to up that gap even further. And if it's an exclusive for 1 day, assume it might be exclusive for 10 years; we have seen some of it come over to both platforms, and some of it I doubt ever will (Jade Rabbit) because it's been so long. Will Microsoft get exclusives? Well, they can't tell us that, because it depends on Microsoft being willing to pay / modify their contract for it. That's simply a question with no answer, and it's not one we can realistically ask Bungie, unless they have signed out of being able to offer it to Microsoft, contractually (which I doubt). Will PC get them? Unless there is a 3rd party publisher that handles the release, and they are willing to pay for it, I doubt it. When you get away from specific platforms, it's a lot harder to see who's going to foot the bill for that, and it is a money game. The one thing I'm going to agree with completely and emphatically; timing. If you say there is an exclusive, fine. I'll take it (and most likely stick it in the vault to collect dust, because it's bad). But if you say 3 months, release it to everyone at 12:00:01 AM on day 91. Extending it out over and over again, going back on your previous word on when it'll be out, that's just not acceptable. Since exclusives aren't going anywhere (it's too much free profit), the times on them need to be reasonable, and the dates need to be strictly adhered to. The 4th Horseshit is a terrible weapon, Zen Meteor is nothing special, the armor is just armor, the strike is just a ho-hum strike, but I do and have felt bad that no one on Xbox has been able to get the Jade Rabbit. And I feel even worse that you've been told you can have it about 4 times now, just to have it taken away over and over again. Actually, I'd give you all the exclusives you're currently missing, if you'll take Sector 618 off our hands.

3 RispostePhil Spencer will never allow Microsoft to be involved in console exclusives, for any game, he's said this repeatedly. He understands that such things divide the gaming community and are solely selfish for the developer.
-
1 RispondiWahhhh! Wahhhhh! All I here from Xbox clowns
-
I believe at this point in time after 3 years of exclusives, that we can safely assume that only PlayStation players will receive any timed or indefinite exclusive content. What you need to plan for are the release dates for the game and any future releases, and when to buy a PS4, the answer to which is better if it is before the launch of Destiny 2.

18 RisposteBungie confirmed no 4k on scorpio, that's a damn shame,I love this game but i'm not getting a $500 console so that a developer can purposely refuse to develop higher resolution.I guess i have to wait for anthem and hope it'll be good.

1 RispondiI could make an intelligent and witty response and explain the how and why of this deal ,but seeing as you probably will still moan after that ,i have another thing to say : cry me a river
-
We deserve to know.
No. No, we don't.

Agreed! I'd we gettin it, great. Tell me when, tell me no lies. Switching platform ain't the answer, I have all of them, but I play where my friends are. Exclusives are pretty rubbish imo. Especially 2 year old exclusives, pretty much irrelevant in that time frame.

I don't miss a boring strike and PvP map and two guns collecting dust in my vault...

2 RisposteModificato da moobz: 6/21/2017 12:42:44 PMJesus Christ! No another one of these exclusives cry post.......so sick of them! The only topics that we every see anymore are: - Nerf this - Buff that - PS4 exclusives are unfair - Bungie sucks/Destiny sucks - I pretended to be.....and got carried - Destiny 2 isn't worth the money - The Beta is unfair - LFG blows - Raids are impossible - This new use of the word "kid". Because someone beats you with a weapons you dont like or calls you out on your stupidity makes them a kid Well done! And you wonder why this community has become so crap......

Bungie has trolled Sony a treat, all the crap that they have left over and that would end up in the bin they give to Sony as 'exclusives', for a big fat cheque of course. Good on ya Bungie, long may it continue!
