Funny how pathetic this meta is
We are for sure not in a primary meta, especially that sidearms get ammo on spawn because it "makes them unique?". I can only imagine how much other companies laugh at Bungie. Who the hell doesn't know how to play their own game after almost 3 years? Primary meta but primaries get tiny buffs(.04) or nerfs.
Destiny 2 pvp will be trash with these clowns around. I, and many can agree that if D2 has the lies, greed, incompetence, no dedicated servers, stupid nerfs, and more, I won't even bother. I don't even give crucible a chance. I get on, load up clash, if I get a in session game i just get off. I think I've played more destiny in a day in year one than I have this entire month.
Please don't get me started on become legend when you just nerf us constantly.
Also, supers are harder to kill. That instant chunk is actually better because you don't have to wait, so instead of nerfing them to make them easier to kill because the devs can't kill supers, they are harder to kill. Because if you are shooting a blade/hammer, you can break their shield but if they kill someone they get it back instantly, instead of before where it canceled the regen.

12 RisposteThey didn't actually buff Supers, they took away the weapons best used to stop them. Sidearms might be quicker killers up close than most primaries, but against an arcblade or hammer, you might as well throw peas. We had a primary meta. Primaries got nerfed. We had a special meta. Special weapons got taken away. Primaries are weak. Specials are unreliable. So ready or not, the ability meta approaches.

As a side note, if you are still sustaining fire on said super when they kill someone, the health regen can still be stopped.

1 Rispondisidearms are just annoying. i like using autos and handcannons which are SUPPOSED to be optimal in close range but then i get sprayed by sidearms. its even worse if you arent using a max range handcannon because you have to get even closer to sidearm range.

1 RispondiIt's not a sidearm meta. This may be true in trials but, trials isn't regular crucible. In my opinion regular crucible is working out great except for the shotgun in air accuracy nerf.

This whole patch makes me feel like Bungie just threw a massive stinkbomb into the Crucible, then ran off, and now they're snickering about it somewhere, like kids who kicked an anthill and are laughing about seeing the ants skitter crazily around. We're the ants, not so funny for us... I sometimes wonder what I should be doing in response. With my Titan, it's pretty straightforward. I don't especially like sidearms, and refuse to rely on an unreliable weapon. So, he's gone on a wholesale sticky grenade binge. Ironic, isn't it? With this patch, Bungie caused a player who mained primaries for over two years to main stickies instead (at least on claustrophobic maps). If what they wanted to do was a primary meta, this was not the way. As for my Hunter, hard to say. I've had good results with Invective, but its chief problem is that every death takes me out of play for the 20 seconds needed to get ammo back (what, you think I'm actually going into battle with nothing but a primary? You think I'm STUPID?!) and that can add up in games where I'm outmatched. On the other hand, while I've had OK results with Trespasser, it's not as awesome. Besides, I think Bungie created this meta to "encourage" the primary/sidearm loadout, and the last thing I want is to capitulate to that! And my warlock... well, he was almost pure primary/ability. Specials had no real place in his playstyle before the patch, so in theory he'd be unaffected. In practice, when I play him, I always feel like I'm buying into the 2.5.0.2 meta, which doesn't sit well. So despite a 1.3 K/D, I only played him in PvP enough to get the 100 kills needed for the record book. It's perhaps a bit sad that I feel like I'm capitulating to bullying whenever I play a certain way, but... well, I wasn't whining for nerfs or spamming shotguns, but I still had to live with the results.

6 RisposteWell, in Bungie's (reluctant) defense, there was only one purely stupid nerf: [b]the loss of our special ammo.[/b] (and before you accuse me of whining because I lost my crutch, my K/D has actually gone up since it dropped). There was also a nerf that just went horribly wrong somewhere: it promised an 8% nerf on the Red Death pulse rifle archetype and delivered about 20. But I'm not calling that one purely stupid because the 8% promised would have been about right. Most of the nerfs were calculated responses to legitimate problems. Not all of them worked quite right, the smackdown laid on Sunbreaker was a little much, for instance. And the ruination of Sunsinger occurred at the players' insistence, after Bungie warned them that it would happen, I blame that one on us. But the nerfs were intended to bring some semblance of balance, so that players could choose the weapons and subclasses they wanted.

There have been so many great threads on this forum. Applause to you! I don't see the logic behind buffing primaries through nerfing already under powered (if not slightly) special weapons. An absolutely pathetic display by Bungie. What's even more pathetic is the fact that they said that the forums is for the 1%. That's only accurate when you say that only 1% of the Bungie forums is decent at Crucible. They are so ignorant, it's beyond my understanding.

I've always been playing in a Primary Meta, never relied on Special to get kills, or ammo regenerating weapons, or weapons that negate completly the recent Special ammo changes. I still use Fusions and I still have fun and my K/D is still decent!

How many companies laugh at Bungie? Company's are in business to make money, Bungie makes tons of it. I'm sure Bungie has many admirers in the business world. You guys going on about sidearms are just full of it. I am in far more primary vs primary fights than primary vs sidearms. If your talking elimination game types who cares, that game type put many of our fun guns and abilities where the are at today. The game is the most balanced it's ever been, that being said it's terribly slow now and just isn't that much fun anymore.

7 RisposteAs far as your perception of the meta, what game modes are you seeing this from? 3v3? 6v6? Trials? Those mode groups play very differently from each other and cannot be lumped together. As far as the supers, Look like you're not playing the right game for you if you think Supers should be easy to kill 1 on 1.
