Ok..After being away from Destiny for nearly 7 months I return to what I'm told is an unplayable crucible meta. What I have experienced however is quite the opposite. For the last two years it seems that snipers and shotguns ruled. Me and my crew were always told " get good" when we had a bad game. Well now with the current meta a lot of the players who preferred to blink shotgun or use there sniper as a primary are having a difficult time. " Give us our special ammo back!!!" I don't use my special weapons much at all and I'm still having fun. When you build your skill set around one particular weapon type because you are very good with it, problems are bound to arise for you. So in conclusion...To all the people who were harshly affected by the special ammo nerf I simply say as you all told me for the last 3 years..." GIT GUD"

1 RispondiI agree that there alot of assholes that play destiny. But the current weapons 'balancing' patch is hardly balanced though.
-
1 RispondiI still smack people around quite well using snipers, and even in this special ammo drought I've put up 40 kill games running a sniper and hand cannon. that being said, I'd like to point a few things out. 6v6 is fine, special spawns all the time, and most of the time players don't worry about controlling special crates the worst you get is greedy teamates who lone wolf every special box. 3v3 and rumble are garbage because people actually control special boxes and if you don't sidearm you are at a massive disadvantage. trials is nothing but NLB + sidearm or HC+icebreaker. it used to be that both shotguns and snipers were viable, and if you were a hipster you could compete with a fusion rifle. that isn't the case anymore, especially on maps that cater to cqc and camping the capzone (assylum, floating garbage etc etc) y2 meta was much more balanced than this crap,
-
67 RisposteThey could give me a potato gun and I would still kill you. I want my special back because the current meta discourages diversity. You are at a disadvantage if you do not run a sidearm. Period.

14 RisposteModificato da Skrim: 3/14/2017 6:35:16 PMYou meant to say you only started doing better when sidearms became overpowered.

2 RisposteYou're full of shit. The only time you see someone is if they are flying at you with a trespasser or wormwood. Side arm Sticky grenade Smoke/void wall combo. From one shitty cycle to the next.
-
7 RisposteI approve of the notion of a primary-centered meta. My three Guardians all had about 40% of their kills with primaries, and for my two main Guardians their primary was their #1 killing instrument. My warlock, who saw far less play than the other two, had more ability kills than primary (but hardly any Special). What I didn't approve of was having to make this choice: 1. Being forced to use a sidearm. 2. Being reduced to a weakened state after death. For more info: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/223094086?showBanned=0&path=0

I have more kills with primary weapons than anything else and I still want special ammo back.
-
That's the thing, I was a shotgun ape, but then I switched over. You see, very few people are actually screwed over with balancing, most people are good enough to simply get good with what's "meta".
-
U have no say with a sub 1.0 kd. Sorry but you dont
-
Destiny just needs a gun game match type like in Counter Strike. That... That would be interesting. Puts everyone out of their comfort zone and makes the map more than just a shotgun or sniper map...
-
So if you base your skill around primaries that awesome congrats, but what if i choose to base my skill off a sniper? why should i be disadvantaged? That isn't balance and thats whats wrong with the game. Bungie should allow all players to pick the guns THEY want and use them to maximum effectiveness. You're just another salty player who is finally happy the skill gap has been lowered again.
-
when a game starts u should be allowd to use one special weapon three minutes, then u have to switch o a different one and u have to use it again for three minutes - problem solved - sidearms are really annoying, everybody running around with them, not fun at all, kills faster than a clever dragon...it feels like the old meta, just sounds different...and a lot of people are like lemmings nowadays...
-
-
I prefer the new "meta" too, there was no chance of combatting the shotgun melee kill as just about everyone in the game was using it. Destiny will never be a balanced game, it is what is.
-
Cool for u. it was always very annoying to get killed by a shotgun or clever dragon, but now it's less annoying to get killed by the new meta.
-
3 RisposteBungie replaces one shitty meta with the next. This weeks combined arms is a light in the dark, because the map is so big, you can't kill anybody using yourself a sidearm. I done my Crota armour with 172 LL and Crota weapons and wrecked the enemy. lol Crota armour is a disadvantage, because your super and grenades need much longer to fill up. Looks like only noobs still play D1.
-
3 Risposte7 months sir? You have no idea what a good meta was, Shout out Yr1 Players! Year one had the BEST meta.
-
2 RisposteModificato da Samantha: 3/14/2017 2:49:53 PMLol with this "primary meta" bullshit. It's still a special meta, only now Sidearms are the only viable gun. (whereas before all 4 weapon types were more or less good; even though the Matador was the king, there were other viable competitive options) Also, the last matches you played were all in 6s playlists. You're not going to get a good feel for the meta in Supremacy and Clash. Play some Skirmish. Play some Elimination. Play some Rumble. See where not using a sidearm gets you. I loved using fusion rifles pre-patch. I never had any problems with shotgun warriors because I always kept myself ready. And I don't have any problems with sidearms warriors for the same reason -- except I don't have ammo half the time. You see, I can, with a fair bit of luck, make a game work with a fusion, but it's amazing how much I am actively shooting myself in the foot by using one. That's not how balance works. And as for our "primary meta", try using anything besides a Palindrome, Eyasluna, or NLB and do well in a nice sweaty match of 3s. Not exactly a good idea to pull out your trusty Hopscotch Pilgrim or your beautiful Cryptic Dragon. Edit: And to be fair, Bungie brought the entire special establishment because one gun (Matador 64) was being overused. Why don't you let that run through your head and see how that sounds? Lol

2 Risposte
To all the people who were harshly affected by the special ammo nerf I simply say as you all told me for the last 3 years..." GIT GUD"
Hah! For over two years, the meta favored one-hit kill weapons and I have no sympathy for anyone reliant on the old meta.
-
I like the primary meta, but it's not. It never was, never will be. First it was snipers/ shotguns, then snipers, then shotguns, now sidearms. People just camt get rid of specials since they're always going to be better, since Bungie nerfed them all. Supposed diversity, yet I only see the Wormwood, an Eyasluna, or a Palindrome. No autos, even after a buff. No specials, since why would you bother getting ammo, reloading it, then getting killed? I don't even see any exotics either, which is also sad. Bungie claims to want diversity, yet killed all the weapons, and now the weapons that were once jokes (NLB, Sidearms) are getting nerfs, since everything else has.

An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind.

3 RisposteWhen were you away for 7 months? Longest break you took was between October and December, well before the patch was implemented. You're not telling people lies on the internet are you?
-
2 Risposte
When you build your skill set around one particular weapon type because you are very good with it, problems are bound to arise for you.
You mean like the problems you had because you built your skill set around primaries and couldn't function in a special weapon meta? I mean that's why you stopped playing right? Newsflash, the people who were good at the game are still good at it. Play better, scrub.
