I was very disappointed when I read the news. I felt all the time I and my son and friends put into getting all the gear and leveling up our light levels was a waste. All of the other games we didn't bother playing what a waste. One of the things that attracted us to Destiny was the fact that it was supposed to be a ten year saga to watch our characters evolve and to grow almost like having a friend to keep coming back to and enjoy there companionship . Now what bungie is doing is just another continuation game Destiny 2 then 3 then 4. Just keep wiping your progress and starting over. Who really cares about saving the looks of your character most guardians never remove there helmets. Your looks were your armor shaders emblems types of weapons slung on your back your Raid gear or Iron banner gear etc etc. Now you (Bungie ) want us to continue with you to do it ALL over again with just different planets different gear different weapons but probably the same old grind. Here's an idea how about sticking to the original plan , KEEPING what we already have achieved our levels our light OUR things and building on that. Moving forward on our original characters as a base going to a new Galaxy. Probably not because it's easier just to erase all our progress I mean we're only the players. Well I will end this rant with one word DISAPPOINTMENT

5 RisposteI don't consider my 2 years in destiny a waste when it comes to the reset. I consider it a waste since destiny has reached the point where the nerfs killed weapons and supers, the buffs made those weapons the meta, the glitches, the bugs, the connection issues, nerfs that broke the game, nerfs that broke the classes, bugs that broke raids, endless micro transactions, cheaters in multiple game modes, a season pass not mattering after house of wolves, and just more. House of Wolves was so different from what it is now. My time in those expansions didn't feel wasted. But now, I lost the interest to hit max light, I feel taking a few minutes out of my day to help friends is wasted, me and my friends could be playing another game at that moment, and we usually do leave Destiny to play something else. I went from playing destiny almost every day, to every Tuesday, to when people ask me to get on, to wanting to uninstall it. To me, Destiny 2 is going to be on thin ice on it's release. I might buy it after a month of time to see how it goes.

No, I had fun doing it

Met a lot of great friends who drink scotch.
-
1 RispondiYep. At this point, there is literally no point in grinding further. It all gets taken away in September.

1 RispondiModificato da michael: 3/6/2017 12:20:12 PMi have twice your hours in time played and i'm happy that we get a fresh start. also... no one seems to know this but...
DESTINY 1 WILL STILL BE PLAYABLE. YOU ARENT LOSING ANYTHING.
I can't say it was wasted time...when I first started playing during TTK I found a pretty solid core group of players that were always down for anything.....everyone has moved on to other games and I've pretty much been going solo since. Time spent with a group of funny talented individuals is never a waste.

To overcome some flaws in the story telling and to introduce new exiting places in time and space, Bungie has to leave the old stuff behind and make a fresh start. Everything else would be a disappointment :)
-
And these posts are getting -blam!-ing annoying .
-
Nope.Time well spent.
-
I didnt feel like i wasted my time. This game gave me the best 3 years of gaming i ever had. Honestly never played a game that kept me coming back this much. Met some people that i still know today and are ready to go into Destiny 2. I can understand the pain some feel losing all their progress but at the same time i can't spend all the time moping or complaining about it.

2 RisposteI'm relieved to leave it all behind. My vaults are full of stuff I don't want to delete, I'm bored with every subclass except for the tether and voidwalker, I'm at max light across everything, and I feel so overwhelmed with gear and loot that I just don't care about drops anymore. A fresh start is honestly the greatest thing because it means I can collect what I want and not let it get to the point I'm at now where I've got too much shit. And hopefully the new subclasses will be better, too.

...a 4 game franchise was always the plan...
-
Nope, had fun, go better and made good friends. A road well trodden.
-
No time wasted for me. Met some great people, I could count the douche bags on two fingers. Had/still do have a great laugh. The games more about the craic I have while playing rather than the game itself now. Roll on D2.

Modificato da Bully_PEN: 3/6/2017 3:30:07 PMThe very best times on Destiny were the first 4 weeks or so - NEW stuff, fresh guns, decrypting this weird gun called a Suros Regime and saying "wtf is this yellow gear gun?" Wow Now Destiny 2 with the same gear would be awful, I mean imagine all the wonder of getting brand new weapons & gear? Why wouldn't anyone want that?
-
3 RisposteModificato da SmashvilleViking: 3/6/2017 9:35:31 AMNope... My time wasn't wasted. Nor did I ever make assumptions that some things would carry over...

Not disappointed in the slightest. I enjoyed my time, and im glad they are doing a fresh reboot. At this point destiny is stale, and repetitive. Somethings i still enjoy strikes and patrol. As far as the emblems and shaders how about we get excited at the possibility of new emblems, shaders etc?

All that time spent in Mario Bros ... what a waste ...
-
Did you have fun playing Destiny, I did and still do at times. So no, my time was not wasted. And the deal Bungie made with Activision was a ten yyear deal, that is correct. It wasn't a ten year Destiny exclusive deal though, they signed out for 4 games over that ten year period.
-
Wait.....how are you NOT muted yet?!?!?? Fixed.
-
No. I've had almost 3 years of fun. Why would I feel it was wasted . It's a game nothing more. Now if it was a money making endeavor that's a different story but its a god damn game . Move on and enjoy doing it again .
-
1 RispondiIdiot post. It's a new game. Did you get pissy when all your crap didn't carry over I'm halo and cod? Exactly....
-
Start b1tchin when they reveal it and turns out to be not an expansion but a true sequel. Seriously, do you really want to stick with the same favorite gear and weapons even when nerfed or obsolete? Trick question. Answer is yes. I know I would. But the point is we need to let it go. You know, we might surprise ourselves if the gear or whatever may be found in D2 is even better than what we had before. A pipedream, but a possibility. I kinda saw the decision coming. Their "10 year plan" was already out the window when they delayed D1. And "sticking with our Guardian, seeing how they evolve"? We are sticking with characters, aren't we? It doesn't necessarily imply our gear too, as we need to evolve if we are to face the challenges ahead (possible DLC prices, hype train wrecks), ya know, the good stuff! Personally, I'm hopeful for D2. Don't wanna get too hyped now.

1 RispondiDid you enjoy the last three years? If so, then your time wasn't wasted, and this entire thread is a waste of everyone's time. It's a sequel, not an expansion. I for one am looking forward to the new loot, new mechanics, and new discovery.

I'm sorry but that grammar is horrific.

I'm sad, but the I'm fine with leaving my character here. I had some fun times with this game and I'm fine with making new memories in a new game.
