Trials ruined Destiny, to many patches and weapon balances came because of trials and streamers, crucible is pants now, and pve always been lackluster, and don't even get me started on how bungie lacked the foresight to separate pve and pvp Nerf's.
Players year one 📈
Players year three 📉
Enough said ✋🎤

12 RisposteDestiny was a co-op RPG before it was an FPS. Weekly strikes and Raids were the appeal in this game long before its release. That's the game we were expecting Destiny to be since its announcement in 2013. That's the game that Destiny built its hype and its following on. But Trials, and the switch to a PvP-based focus completely changed Destiny's image, and whether you're only here for Trials or not, it's plain to see that it changed its image for the worse. Now what we have to deal with is a game whose, at its core, was designed around co-operative gameplay against a common enemy, and has now become player versus player focused. What that translates into is what we've seen in this last fortnight. A game without balance, where the concept of balance threatens the point of 90% of its features. Weapons, armor, and abilities which were all initially designed for co-op gameplay against the computer, which doesn't work in a PvP environment. So Bungie updates that, changes the workings of these weapons and features. Which throws out the balance against computer-controlled enemies. And it's a slippery slope from there to where we are now. So yes, Trials made Destiny what it is today, and it is because of Trials why people like you are still here, because Trials ruined a game that was initially designed for those who have already left.

10 RisposteTrials should have been a set load out each week, every one using the same weapons. When you get to 7 wins you pick one that you keep.
-
They just need to have Trials like it was in year one. Where you were truly matchmade on connection. In year one you could go up against someone who just started Trials on your 8-0. It allowed a lot of players who were not technically the best of the best, to attain lighthouse glory. Now I love Trials of Osiris as a weekly end game PvP mode, but I agree it shouldn't shape Destiny completely around it. Most of there buffs* and nerfs* were based around trials after it came out.
-
2 RispostePvP should be removed from the game entirely. It's ruined the game.
-
12 RisposteI think it's pvp in general that's ruining it, no doubt. I think the fact that trials divides the players into perceived "good" and "bad" categories, and Bungie is smug enough to boldly proclaim that "it is absolutely intended that average players don't reach the lighthouse" ruins Destiny even more. You have a game mode in which 20% or less (just a guess) of players can beat and get all the sweet glamour gear and adept weapons. Bungie has let this game mode that only caters to a small, small percentage of Destiny players be the force that drives ALL their weapon balancing patches. If you are an average pvp player, or a strictly pve player (read: the OVERWHELMING majority of players) you get to see your favorite guns get beat down with the nerf bat time and time again, for no reason other than the elite pvp players are whining. Just sucks the fun right out of the game. I have collected every exotic in the game, but nowadays they are just trophies and 9/10 of them flat-out suck. Bungie's over-devotion to PVP is poisoning this game. If they had any sense, they would realize the OVERWHELMING majority of their customers favor well-made pve content... They could ... wait for it... Focus more on pve!! Shocking revelation, right? Only way I would ever consider playing D2 at this point is if there is a concerted effort to focus on the pve part of the game, make trials more accessible (or get rid of it entirely), and/or SEPARATE PVE FROM PVP. Also, let's try to make our very hard earned exotics more than vault placeholders. Yes, they should be better than legendaries.

2 RisposteI'll make the assumption that you have never made it to the Lighthouse so you're bitter.
-
9 RisposteWhat pvp nerf is hindering your abilities in pve exactly?
-
7 RispostePlease tell me what you cant accomplish now in PVE because of nerfs? I swear people will complain about anything. You are burned out on the game looking for someone to blame.
-
First off- it really has not. Trials has not ruined destiny in the slightest. If anything it saved it. Sales of destiny saw a huge rise when trials came out. The problem isn't pvp or trials, the problem is that they don't separate their buffs and nerfs for pve and pvp. Does Bungie need to give pve more love? hell yeah they do! Does that mean that trials and/or pvp should be removed from the game? -blam!- no!

21 RisposteModificato da REVIVE PHARMER: 2/23/2017 12:12:38 PMDead on my man. Trials and the streamers whose lives revolve around it are a cancerous tumor that have killed the game for PVE. I realize a good portion of the people still playing Destiny only do so for PvP. Trials practice and Trials itself are the only hurdle a majority of players have left to jump. However, Destiny was completely built around PVE content and all the (formerly) amazing item's attainable in game were PvE centric. Elemental primaries, powerful EXOTIC weapons and armor, everything. After BUNGLE realized they couldn't crank out content fast enough, only then was PvP introduced. My proof being the lack of any Crucible balance whatsoever in the beginning. Once the PvE content dried up and everyone got bored, PvP started to take over, leaving us with the dumpster fire we have today. An amazing game that is slowly being white washed by whiny crucibabies and cry-hards that will blame everything but their lack of skill for losing/shiite stats. Plain and simple.

Modificato da PlayerGuts: 2/23/2017 5:27:13 PMI've completed over 400 raids in my life time and have max grimiore and got all the achievements and have obtained all the loot in this game. I've also helped out random people back in the day to guide them and complete their first raids, nightfalls, and etc. Definitely helped over 100 guardians or more with raids and over 50 guardians in Trials to reach the lighthouse. I've done my fair share of giving back to the community and inspiring others to do the same. I don't do raid help anymore because there's no incentive for me and takes up my time (you know how long raids can be with inexperienced people and weapons that aren't upgraded at all). I've experienced and achieved everything this game has to offer and back (both pve and pvp). There's nothing left for me to do. If it weren't for Trials, I would've left this game a long time ago. Period. Hell I quit Destiny a couple times and came back and one of the main reasons (there are more but I won't state them) I came back was because of trials. I missed it. Trials is fun and I enjoy it a lot. I'm now playing Halo Wars 2 on the weekdays and Destiny on the weekends. When I get bored of Destiny I get on Halo Wars 2. If there was no Trials then everyone would help out each other and achieve everything but then it just stops there unless they want to keep helping and be selfless and give up their time. The gift that just keeps giving. But I feel as though content would be stale because people would finish through everything and wait for their next fix. With pve everything has a predictable pattern. It's easy to figure out and everyone can do it. The AI is our common enemy. Pvp is different. Human players are your enemy. Humans are involved and it's not so easy to figure out (unless you're good at predicting what others do then you should be fine). Gun skill, weapons, gear, perks, subclass, reaction time, reflex, all of that comes into play when you fight another guardian. It can suck, be boring, challenging, fun, or exciting. That's just my take on this. TLDR; I excel at both pve and pvp. I've completed everything pve has to offer and helped other guardians out in my life time. I've quit a few times and came back and one of the reasons was because of trials. If it weren't for pvp, especially trials, I would've left this game a long time ago. Content is dry and literally starving for content. I guess we'll have to wait until Destiny 2 for our next best fix.

if you don't like it. don't play it. simple as that

1 RispondiModificato da DroLogic: 2/23/2017 7:42:18 PMPretty sure the lack of content and communication between developer and player base ruined the game. The fact that they drop a dlc that can be done in a week and then don't release anything for months is the reason why this game is so dead all the time. The developers also don't bond or talk to the community ever and community managers are just inactive and not doing the one thing they are paid to do communicate with us lol just take overwatch as an example the game has 0 pve 0 dlc but its active and gaining more community. Why? Because they do live events so often you run out of money from buying loot boxes. Not to mention the whole comp seasons and also blizzard does a great job keeping the community wanting more and updated. Jeff is probably out almost everyday talking to people in the forums and at events. Like right now people were sad that he reported doom fist wasn't the next hero but now we have a new possible hero that got hinted by blizzard in their website. Its things as simple as that that get the community fired up. Bungie just sucks at making content and talking to its community.

3 RisposteAfter you beat all the raids, get to the highest lvl, complete the books, finish of the story. what else is there besides trials?
-
1 RispondiTrials actually made destiny. I'm pretty sure if there was no trials people like me wouldn't play destiny anymore.

Nice use of graphics ☑️

I dont think Trials in itself is a bad game mode. The problem I have with it is that unlike any other end game content (PvE or PvP), there is absalutly no way to get to it if you are a middle of the road player. All other content you can keep banging away at you'll eventually get it done. But the requirement to go flawless to get the ultimate reward it simple too much for a majority of gamers. If just the smallest of changes was made to the format then a lot of the issues would disappear. So instead of a card ending when you reach 3 losses, just let the card keep rolling until you get 9 wins. If you had a flawless you get good rewards from the lighthouse chest, then tier them for each loss (upto 3) that you had. Streamers could still offer flawless runs for top rewards, top players owuld be the only ones with emblems, but at least then all players of the game would have access to all parts of the game regardless of skill. On a related note I heard a change is coming to the Skorri artifact due to the effect it has on fire teams in trials. Why change a super useful item in PvE, just for a very small number of trials players who use it to 'boost' thier supers? This just reinforces peoples views that trials players are the most important to Bungie as a whole.
-
1 RispondiEveryone can get to 400, raids are completed the day they come out, you get boons in trials, you can buy your way to the lighthouse, it has skill based matchmaking or some other mechanic to try keep you at a 50/50 win loss ratio, you can buy the latest armours from eververse, you can afk strikes and crucible, you get stuff for coming last in crucible, you get stuff for doing nothing in strikes. The truth is, Destiny tries to be everyone's best friend, it tries to do as little as possible to keep the most ppl playing. It does not excel in anything, it certainly doesn't cater to the hardcore players. If it did, it would be a much better gaming experience. Its needs some real high end level content, what the top player can go for. It needs plenty of on farm content that regular players can struggle and find a challenge in, and the top players can gear up to challenge end game pve with. It need some lower level content that isn't still able to kill you in 3 shots when you are level 40 in your best gear. It needs lots of the above apart from maybe the end game raid. There should always be something for the elite to go for, once that raid goes on farm, they should create a new raid. PvP changes should not affect PvE. Don't give us that crap about you wanting guardians to feel the same across the board when you can't even make them feel the same across the weeks. Oh, and get rid of the useless padding. Stuff like blues you use for a week. If there was a way to stop levelling and we could all use twinks in a lower bracket of PvP that was effectively balanced for everyone, then fair enough, but we can't. This game has got to be the most boring casual friendly Americanised piece of crap I have ever played. I'm not trying to insult Americans here, but it is a game that keeps telling you to have a nice day, while taking your money and giving you that smile that makes you realise they don't give a crap whether you have a nice day or not, just as long as you come back tomorrow.

Trials is great. It works like detention at school, all the annoying kids are stuck in there together out of the way so the rest of us can play in peace.
