As things stand now would you rather impeach trump now or ride out the 4 years?

Impeach him for what? Obama said raising the debt by 4 trillion should be treason. He ran it up 10. No one talked about impeachment. The ones that want impeachment need to get out of the hurt locker.

1 RispondiI say ride it out. The longer he's in office, the more damage he does to conservatism in general and the Republican party in particular. He's giving people more and more reason everyday to never vote for anyone like him again. This kind of reminds me of a parent making their kid smoke a whole pack of cigarettes to teach them not to smoke. Sometimes, you have to let stupid people make stupid decisions so they can hopefully learn from them. Also, no-one wants Pence.

5 RisposteIt really does depend. As I stand, I don't really give a shit about most of the world, so this wall thing, while irritating, doesn't affect me yet so... The ban doesn't affect me. I mean, don't get me wrong, I expect him to do a lot of idiotic things, just some things could go a little too far.

2 RisposteModificato da Vicex: 1/30/2017 9:16:56 PMThe bottom line is that Trump is a dangerous fool that has stacked his advisory with self-serving and incompetent individuals who cannot advise the current president of what is in the best interests of the country as a whole. He has been in office for just over a week, and already he is working to circumvent what makes the United States, the United States. Electing Trump was an error of people who were upset with the previous (read current) system and wanted to flush the 'old regime' from Washington and believing Trump was the way to do it. Allowing Trump to continue serving as President would be outright apathy for not only the United States, but the world and future generations. Edit: That said- while Trump has (arguably- though Clinton was impeached for less) not yet reached criteria for impeachment (but he will with time)- I would encourage even the symbolic vote of no confidence.

7 RisposteImpeach NOW. There is no pivot coming. This is Trump. If anything the isolation and pressures of the presidency will only magnify his worst tendencies. It will be impossible for the man that did irreparable damage to national unity to somehow rebuild that trust. He is so antithetical to American values. The protests, disruption, and God forbid violence will not stop. Pence in the Presidency will by no means magic away all the problems. However we can at least expect some consistency and cooling of emotions as Americans grapple with how to stop hating each other.
