WOTM legendary raid gauntlets cause heavy to drop from Fallen enemies much more reliably than Ruin Wings exotic gauntlets cause heavy ammo to drop from enemies. Please make the exotic Ruin Wings work at least as well as the legendary raid gear. I think they should proc more often since they are exotic, but at least make them as useful as the legendary gauntlets. Thank you.

2 RisposteModificato da bobswerski: 1/4/2017 3:05:39 PMIMO Ruin Wings are bugged, that's the real problem. But to your point, they absolutely should not proc as often as the raid arms because those only work on a single enemy race. Conditional perks should proc more often than general ones because you have to meet the conditions as well.

2 RisposteThe issue that a lot of players have with Ruin Wings is a matter of perception. Players are getting increased heavy ammo drops, and more ammo per drop, but it doesn't appear consistent because drop rates are entirely random. Our brains want to see fixed drop rates (1 every 10 ammo drops) but variable drop rates don't work that way. You would need to look at a large enough sample to see that the drop rate increased.
-
1 RispondiAccording to the laws of Destiny, all legendaries must outperform exotics.
-
YO. MOST USELESS SHIT IN THE GAME. I REALLY THINK THEY REDUCE HEAVY DROPS. I like using the raid gloves with the taikonaut.
-
2 RisposteThey work perfectly if you're already full on heavy, you can count on that.
-
1 RispondiI've been running Ruin Wings lately and there has been times in Strikes where I'd only get 2-3 heavy bricks per Strike, and although I get 3 rockets per brick (at least for Gally), it doesn't seem as effective as I thought it would be. BUT, in saying that, without running Ruin Wings there were times where I wouldn't get any heavy ammo at all throughout a Strike (which is why I started using them)

Wow I deadass was just about to post about this
-
2 RisposteBe careful of what you wish for. Suggestions like this can easily backfire and result in a nerf of the raid gauntlets instead. ;)
-
2 RisposteModificato da : ^ ): 1/2/2017 8:56:11 PMThey do work pretty well for me at least. I've done entire strikes back to back with literally just heavy ammo.

2 RisposteThere's a good, logic reason as to why the raid gauntlets seems to work better than Ruin wings. It's supposed to be that way. Every item that is activated by every enemy and other non-specific circumstances, would leave a sea of ammo/orbs behind. The fact that you need a specific enemy and/or even a specific way you need to kill a specific enemy to activate, would not be very useful at all if the drop rate wasn't increased on them. Imagine using the artifact from Oryx that has a chance of dropping orbs only by killing taken with precision shots... If the ordinary artifacts didn't require a specific damage type instead of a specific enemy to activate on precision shots, only a complete idiot would use the taken one. The ruin wings has a unique (exotic) perk that doesnt just increase the chanses of heavy drops. The packs themselves gives you more ammo from each, than the raid ones does. That's what makes the ruin wings differ from raid ones. You can't just compare apples to oranges and scream that they are not identical
-
3 RisposteWell the WOTM gauntlets drop more heavy ammo from fallen, ruin wings drop more heavy from all races and with more heavy per pack.
-
Lots of multi kills or big explosive kills seem to work better for larger quantity ammo drops but whether it's heavy or not is a crap shoot.
-
1 RispondiTry using Firefly on your primary i get heavy for every headshot (boom)

2 RisposteModificato da WulfPak666: 1/2/2017 4:52:29 PMHere is where the problem lies... the Ruin Wings perk must be RNG oriented and here is my explanation, Whenever I use the Ruin Wings I NEVER get heavy drops. Rarely will I see more than 4-8 boxes throughout a strike. However, my RNG in this game has been absolute poo after TTK challenge mode came out. Now swap over to my friend, who has used nothing but those gauntlets since he got them back in Y1. His RNG is relatively good. Whenever he uses Ruin Wing it is as if Jimi Hendrix came back from the dead and let loose a purple haze all over the map. There are literal mountains of heavy ammo boxes everywhere. (I should know, he never shuts up with his little orgasms every time he sees purple boxes) The last time we ran through WoTM hard mode, I swear he mained his heavy the entire time. Heck even in the strike playlist he mains his heavy weapons... So, I don't doubt that they work as intended, but I believe it is RNG based (which is ass backwards) so I am probably never gonna get their full benefit. So screw it, i'll keep using my AC/DC Feedbacks :)

1 RispondiRuin Wings work on all enemies though, not just Fallen
-
1 RispondiMy issue with Ruin Wings is it seems to proc for my fireteam and not for me. I have also noticed if my fireteam member wears them then it procs for me but hardly for them. I wonder if Bungie messed up the coding (again) and never figure it out after all this time.
-
2 RisposteI think the raid gauntlets should cause more heavy ammo to drop when an enemy is killed by one of your raid weapons. The helmet should increase range and stability on all WotM weapons, boots should increase agility when one of the WotM raid weapons is equipped, and the chestpiece should increase armor capacity for all WotM raid weapons. The weapons are pretty good by themselves, but raid gear should complement itself and turn into a god-tier set when combined in full.
-
1 RispondiHi. Sometimes you need to equip them then un equip them for the perk to proc. As for the raid arms they are great but only work on fallen enemies. Ruin wings however work on all enemies.
-
1 RispondiNotes from Bungie meeting: Okay we may have a problem. Some players seem to think the raid gauntlets are better than ruin wings. Solution anyone? Easily solved Nerf the raid gauntlets. Well done, thats what we like to see, creative thinking. Next item on the agenda .......
-
1 RispondiI figure that ruin wings should cause every 5th enemy killed by you to drop heavy ammo, no RNG to it.

Ruin Wings + Rocket Launcher w/ Clown Cartridge. Just reload after every shot. Works great!
-
I've always called them Ruined Wings

The Ruin Wings had this known issue from HoW. Bungie never acknowledged it because players always cheesed it by switching armor in the menu and putting it back on as a temporary fix. I to tried it but it wasnt dropping purple bricks like how it was in the Dark Below dlc. In the DB dlc, purple bricks were more visible than green or white. Nowadays its just trash and not worth the exotic slot. It needs to be fixed because heavy ammo in PvE is crucial at some parts and its also fun to see the enemies dropping purple bricks every 2-3 kills.

Bump, my favourite exotic but they rarely work..
