I've been keeping track of several accounts that are known DoSers. There are (were) 15 of them. The list would be much larger, but I'm not including the fireteam members they played with, just the actual DoSer. On Friday, 3 of those accounts were confirmed as restricted, meaning they cant play crucible for a minimum of a week, and can't play ToO for a minimum of a month. Today, 2 of the fifteen were banned permanently, meaning they can't play Destiny at all. Ever. Again (slow clap). These are the first full bans I've seen issued since vanilla.
That said, the remaining 10 are still active, and playing ToO. Two of the ten are severe offenders with nearly every match played ending with a victory by disco. I'm aware that one of them offers lighthouse trips for money.
Bungie, you're improving. You are finally issuing actual bans, and I applaud you for it. That said, you aren't doing enough. 2 bans out of 15 accounts is simply not enough.
Edit: Since posting this, of the fifteen DoSers on my list, I added two more, so it's 17 now. Of the 17, 4 have now been permanently banned from Destiny. Two are restricted from crucible and ToO. That's still 11 remaining. Get busy Bungie.
Edit: 19 now. No additional bans to report.

Gotta like the guy making money off of it. At least he is a guaranteed victory unlike other streamers.

I've been in actual party's with people that openly admit to ddossing their way through trials #reported/deleted/insulted. From my experience they are usually kids. And have bad parents that didn't care to teach common decency and basic morals to their individual oxygen wasting units. I have I believe had it happen to me only a handful of times in all honesty. And had a very bad experience with a kid in my stream that would kick whoever I was helping out, just because he wasn't the one that won the raffle. He even went so far as to make a new account, re add me and try the same shit again whilst I was streaming, then admitted to doing it again in the stream chat, after this a clan mate gathered evidence against him to get his account banned. The problem is it's so easy to level up now that you could have a new account ready in 2-3 days and start doing it all over again, especially if there's a financial incentive to do so...

Sure there's some kids that do it to be "cool" or whatever, but there's also a criminal enterprise that is engaging in it for money, offering a guaranteed lighthouse trip for a fee. You're right, it's very easy to create a junk account and trash it when you are done and then start a new one. It's those types of DOSers that bungie will never be able to stop the way the game is currently. Dedicated servers might help, but that simply isn't going to happen. I believe if they made some changes to trials, they could discourage or stop most DOS attacks. The first change I would propose is that if you win three matches on a trials passage card due to the enemy team deserting the match, your card is automatically reset. Any single match won due to the other team deserting would only count as one half win, or a tie. No rewards will drop from a match when a team deserts before round 3. To discourage people from leaving matches intentionally, leaving three trials matches in a given day would result in a loss of access to trials for the remainder of the day. Repeated desertions would result in a temporary account restriction just as it is was when trials first started.

Give this guy a job. That's literally what they should do. Also, I ran a shotty this weekend for a total of two passages, usually go flawless multiple times each weekend and felt this weekend was aids. It promoted completely moronic play from me personally, cheesy, easy no aim crap that was funny at first but just felt stupid, dirty and totally void of skill....my point being, if it ever stayed this way, I'd play a hell of a lot less tbh lol What's worse, our last two matches involved being at 4-4, spawning a side and crouching up on the tombs in the air just before blue room entrance (new capture zone area) Our flawless match, all 3 of the enemy had supers too lmao So stupid.

What do you do with rage quits then? Or genuinely bad internet?

Modificato da jnikoley: 10/30/2016 5:21:23 PMNo. When a "name and shame" post is created on the forum, I check the match history of the person being "shamed". I look them up from their bnet profile. If they are DoSing, it's obvious from their match history. I look for more than three consecutive victories against an incomplete fire team repeating over a period of several days and multiple ToO weeks. Often times these accounts have a very low ToO K/D but a very high ToO win/loss ratio. I've also added some to the list that I've played against. They have to meet the same standards to be added to the list though. On Bnet, you can tell when an account is restricted if their To0 gear is marked "classified". A banned account will be marked banned.
