It's actually hilarious reading the complaints from people on how much money they've spent on FOTL.
My hat goes off to you Bungie for putting those items behind a paywall. You've essentially made a form of gambling but for minors. Activision and your shareholders must be laughing.
Dont worry guardians I get it - its your money, you spend it on whatever you like. Just dont start complaining when its made clear that you are buying a chance, and only a chance. Its not guarantee and it never was.
Its funny cause this isnt the first time this has happened, and because of the success Bungie are getting from milking some of their player base, guess what............ it wont be the last time it happens
Guardians please stop complaining or just stop spending
Edit: Obligatory IM TRENDING! edit :/
Just to be crystal clear for those with a lack of reading comprehension...............
I DO NOT care what you spend your money on
- its your money, you spend it on whatever you like.
Hell if Bungie sold that Ghost Ghost for 500 silver, I would actually go ahead and get silver for the first time just to buy the Ghost Ghost - its fking cool imo
Regarding the whole "this is gambling!" vs "this isnt gambling" debate, its my opinion that this is not gambling in its purist form like in casinos, as you will receive something for the money you put in. whereas in a casino you can spend £20/£30/£3000 and come home with absolutely nothing (apart from regret and remortgaged house lol)

I can smell the Supply Drops in Destiny 2
-
I spent $40 and got everything so

2 Rispostewho cares!? MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS
-
21 RisposteI don't complain. I've probably spent more than $200 on silver over all this time. I don't see the problem of paying if you want it
-
People that buy microtransactions in destiny are getting played by activision
-
I don't know about everyone else, but I have an equal amount of money and cents.
Please excuse my terrible pun on cents/sense. I know it could've been better, but I'm in the middle of physics. Now that I think about it I probably shouldn't be on here. . .
6 RisposteMicro - transactions have been a part of gaming for a very long time so just get over it. It doesn't hurt the game at all. It doesn't give anyone an advantage over others so it's not pay to win. If people want to spend the money they earned then they have every right to do it however they want
-
Putting RNG into it to milk people is incredibly sleazy. There are emotes and such I'd *consider* outright buying, but I'm not gambling on a random chance of getting what I want.
-
Take these things out Bungo! It will be the downfall of destiny longterm
-
Obligatory: you're an idiot

It's really not that bad, if you want to talk about gambling with pixels just look at valve

I'm not gonna tell the next man how to spend his money. However, a fool and his money...

Cats doing tricks, your argument is invalid.

2 RisposteModificato da Soju_Fett: 10/27/2016 4:28:48 PMMerriam-Webster definition 1b: to bet on an uncertain outcome. It's gambling folks. Edit for those who want to argue that it's not betting: an act of risking a sum of money on the outcome of a future event.
-
4 RisposteIt's a chance with increasing odds. I don't think the event is designed to give duplicate items, but I could be wrong. From my experience, the event takes into account the items from your Vault and inventory, but not items in the kiosk. Therefore, players that dismantle the masks they don't want will only reward them with a chance to get that mask AGAIN. Then again, that's something that I've noticed from personal experience, so it may not be that this is the case.

I bought ONE microtransaction in all the time I played Destiny. One. And I knew what I wanted, and I knew that I would get it when I paid. As a child of the '80's who had been a headbanger as a teen, complete with long hair, I knew I had to have that air guitar emote. And I have no issue with that. Destiny will currently not allow me to do MT's (PS3 and all), but even if I could, I would not use real money to purchase anything unless it was like my air guitar emote: a known quantity. Neither should anyone else. And it saddens me that Bungie coerces people into doing this, because that's what it is: gambling. And it's probably the worst thing they've done so far. Yes, even worse than abandoning legacy consoles, or changing their mind about those PSN exclusives.
-
3 RisposteWow. First the toxic community, then the micro transaction cosmetic gambling. Thus game is literally just copying over watch at this point. Please stop.
-
I'll use money if I get some money and it's worth buying it but I've never bought something from eververse.
-
yeah i would even spend 200 silver for the bad juju ornament. but hell i am not going to gamble for a 1/20 chance to get this because it might end up being 4000 silver and we all know that bunge has weighted RNG so its probably more like 12000 silver for the wanted items like the ornament .. perfect job of bungie.. its like the magic the gathering card decks.. you have to buy 1000 to get the one you want.. =D
-
2 RisposteI would argue you it is gambling. Money doesn't have to be the motive, but you're right it isn't in it's purest form. If you pay money in an attempt to acquire something and you don't get it, you've gambled it. Simples.
-
Personally, I wouldn't bother just because they already said no more DLC's because, they're working on Destiny 2. So really, any of that stuff you buy is just going to sit on your characters 3 months or whenever from now. Its your money though, burn it however you want. Really we all find something to waste that shat on.
-
3 Risposte
The amount of idiots with more money than sense.................
like your post, but disagree with title, as in my opinion it's the opposite...those who have money know the worth of it and question prices...i believe it's those who don't have that pay money for such a crap and a greedy company...especially when it's behind even more greed, a rng paywall ,)

Modificato da Aguyishere: 10/27/2016 4:16:05 PMWell and for those of us that are married, we just wouldn't go home after losing at a casino. Well unless you want your wife to take off your nuggets. They get upset about losing money for some reason......

I admit it......I was addicted to re-rolling my Felwinters.
