PSA; At 385 ll 384 gear drops but at 384 up to 387 gear drops

I believe this does not apply to Nightfalls, Strike Horde chests or Archon Forge class items. I have better luck with packages at 384-385 light. 386-387 always give me 384...

I tried this it's hit or miss. Something is goofy for sure. I'm saving the rest of my exotics till Hard mode drops then hopefully stuff will always decrypt higher.

3 RisposteIt's not bulletproof, but I can attest to this as well At 386 light all my engrams/faction packages gave 384-385 gear I dropped to 384 and my first three faction package/engrams dropped at 387. I've also gotten 384 drops at 384 light, so again it's not bulletproof If you're struggling to get that 386+ gear then give it a try

meh.. switched to 384 at the end of ib games and got 2 384 items in a row. went to tower for crucible package and got 384 stuff..

It's all random. Just got 387 auto and 387 shotty back to back as a 386.

I did a nightfall at 386 and a 388 primary was the reward. I mostly get 385s and 386s when leveled at 386. My least common light drops are 384 and 387. I'm a firm believer in leveling to the max before getting rewards. RNG is a son of a bitch.

Happens with my drops as well, so annoying because when I'm 387 I want higher gear but always get lower.

Bungie said the higher light you get the more difficult it becomes to increase. I'd say it's a 1 in 4 chance an exotic, faction package, crucible, or nightfall reward drop with higher light once you hit 385.

Nightfall dropped me a 388 P&T. No complaints there.
