Remember back in year one when you got an exotic drop it was actually exciting? With 3oC it just doesn't feel the same anymore. 3oC mad getting an exotic a very lack luster experience. I get that it helps out a lot but it just doesn't seem very exciting to see an exotic anymore. Anyone else agree?

Keep in mind not everyone has 6 hours a day to play destiny.i get online maybe once a week if I'm lucky. It's nice to grind some strikes or crucible for a few hours get a bunch of garbage (of course) and an exotic or two.
-
37 RisposteYeah. It kind of took the fun, the joy out of getting exotics. When Taken King first dropped, I thought it was a great idea, but now I'm not too keen on their usage. They also removed some incentive to run the Nightfall and True Meaning of War bounties to get a shot at your exotics. Like, the majority of the new Year 2 Exotics I have are because of Three of Coins.

4 RisposteThis is the new meta in Destiny now, everything is acquired easily, surprised everyone isn't 335 light by now.
-
I agree. 3oc and xur should be removed.
-
1 RispondiDon't use 3oC then, bam problem solved 😂
-
Shitty drop rates and rewards made getting exotics boring. Back in the day you got an exotic randomly through pvp, a strike or nightfall . But then it got to the point where you continued to get the same stuff .
-
Remember the Crotas End exotic chest that could spawn at the entrance? I remember that was moved because they didn't want the chance of an exotic drop be too easy, 6 months later they add a consumable that gives that chance with every ultra. Some consistency would be nice, although this is the game where weapons are changed constantly, so no chance of that I suppose.
-
removing primary elemental weapons made everything else boring
-
1 RispondiAre you complaining that it's to easy? Wow we've come full circle. People were complaining about them not dropping enough to this shit.
-
2 RisposteI miss exotic drops after Y1 nightfall strikes, raid chests and raid completions. Felt like I earned them, duplicate or not.
-
1 RispondiGetting an exotic anymore doesn't feel exciting, because most of them are underwhelming and hardly seem better than a lot of the Legendaries. 3oC is a nice "option". Doesn't work all the time, but at least offers another "option" to getting an exotic.
-
Agree 100% and I've already made a post similar to this. I don't think 3oC should be taken out of the game, but Xur should NOT sell them. They should be common rewards from nightfall and Shaxx's bounties. Maybe a rare chance one will drop from a regular strike or Crucible match. In their current state, they make it far too easy to get all of the rng exotics because you can buy as many as you want. The only way to buy exotics in year 1 was being lucky that Xur brought what you wanted.

Modificato da BStanley92: 8/15/2016 7:37:37 AMIt took me way to long to get a Ghally in year 1. I got it 3 weeks after they nerfed the burn damage on Skolas. I started playing the first week in October 2014. It was a running joke in my group, I had the most play time, most raid completions etc. and no Ghally. I never want that again. With the amount of time I play this game, and completing all the end game content every week, I want the tools to be at my disposal to play how I want to. That's what exotics are to me. A tool that is used for a specific task. 3oc should stay. Plus I had all the exotics in year 1. I should have never had to re-find the yr2 version. Damn straight I used 3oc for that.

Yes. So much
-
55 RisposteDon't think so. No. The loot drops in the game are so -blam!-ing bad that 3oC are necessary so you can actually receive something useful instead of the 125th down and doubt........ Why do folk actually want more grind, u guys are the -blam!-ing worst thing for this game. Grinding isn't gaming.

2 RisposteModificato da BK-GHOST: 8/15/2016 12:45:22 AMAgree...i use them yes...i never liked the idea...it killed the vibe of getting them to drop....all of year 1 i managed to find 1 single engram and got everything else from nightfalls and raids... I miss those days... Where getting a legendary was something to brag and be proud of... Now we have legendaries that mean absolutely nothing. Its atrocious that blue engrams always decode into something higher than legendary engrams smdh
-
18 RisposteThe excitement of collecting gear has a threshold. At a certain point with an RPG I don't want my gameplay options constrained by impossibly low drop rates. It takes a fair amount of time to get specific exotics as it is. The right way to extend the fun of obtaining shit is releasing new weapons into the environment. I'd like it if that happened more frequently.
-
Everyone loved them when they came out, but now people complain about it
-
6 Risposteexotics SHOULD be rare... extremely rare... like a large portion of the player base with limited time under their belt have none. Like year 1!... I think I got 3 exotic engrams in year 1... each one was exciting!... At this point I would rather get a legendary engram than an exotic...
-
Taken King made getting exotics boring. No more exotic quests? Almost everything is RNG or involves quests with lots of waiting. Disappoint.
-
The reason being is that there are now soooooo many exotics and they don't drop class specific to the character decrypting or receiving. This means the loot pool is so big, with so little chance to get the one you really want. I agree, get rid of 3oCs but only when there are more chances to obtain them.
-
6 RisposteThe overall lack of difficulty in destiny is a problem
-
2 RisposteSo don't use them.
-
-
3 RisposteI think you guys forget that not all people live with parents, i work full time and by no means do i wish to spend pointless hours looking for an exotic. Show spoiler
-
you don't have to use them...
