I have Destiny Vanilla on a CD/disc, played the game until I leveled my Warlock to level 34 and got stuck at a certain point, so I decided to purchase Destiny: The Taken King - Digital Edition it costs 36.99 dollars with two Expansions (House of Wolves & The Darkness Below) plus Sorus which seem like a good deal, downloaded it from the PlayStation Store (100 KB each) and accessed my Destiny game to find out that there is nothing unlocked nor in-game content delivered. I have discovered that I must download Destiny: The Taken King (16/18 additional GB's to my Destiny 16 GB's in size), but how? If my Edition is but a bunch of passes that unlock areas, then how am I supposed to get access to the locked areas?
By the way, I own PlayStation 3.
I did contact the PlayStation staff members regarding the issue, but no response so far, and it has been 2 to 3 days now!

2 RisposteModificato da Mr_Kally: 7/19/2016 8:43:24 AMGuys, I found the solution: My CD is American and the Edition I purchased is European, that is why I was unable to access any area from The Taken King or any Expansion. The solution seemed impossible, so I decided to purchase Destiny: The Taken King - Digital Legendary Edition and some Silver ( 4,600 Silver in total). Kind of odd how they treat people, huh?

29 RisposteLet me try to address this in a couple steps. The base game exists, we will call that Vanilla Destiny or as most of us know it, Y1 Destiny. Destiny requires, at base, 30 GB of storage space for your console (the PS3) to be free at all times (60 GB on current gen consoles). That 30 GB may not always be used but it is required as the swap and installation files can be upwards of 18 GB. Take for example on my system, which is a PS4. Right now system wise being used is 39.24 GB. They require the additional 20 GB in case of patches, etc. So you install the base portion of the game right? Yay! Good job that will eat up about 18-19 GB on previous gen consoles. The next thing you need to do is PATCH the game, which will consume about another 12-13 GB of storage space and will leave you eventually somewhere around the 20 GB of used space. Now that the game has been patched, the next thing it is going to look for are the licenses. All the licenses; The Dark Below, The House of Wolves, and The Taken King are fairly overall small in amount (usually less than 1 GB) because that is all they are, licenses. Understand DLC no longer just stands for DOWNLOADABLE CONTENT, it also now stands for DISC LOCKED CONTENT. That means the content is already present in your installation files, you just cannot access it without the appropriate licenses. When Destiny The Taken King was launched, it was about a 19 GB 'patch'. Everyone who currently is playing the game has all the content for TTK downloaded and installed on their consoles whether they own the licenses or not. It just will not allow you to access specific areas of the game unless you have those appropriate licenses. As it stands, you are currently locked at L34 and as far as I can tell do NOT have access to The Taken King license. Which is a separate DLC license from TDB and HoW. If you purchase The Taken King expansion, you will get access to it or if you purchase The Taken King Legendary Edition, you will get access to it. Mind you if you purchase the DIGITAL version of the game from PSN, you will need to uninstall your disc version and reinstall your digital version to allow some of your licenses to properly transfer. This has been an issue with people on the previous gen consoles for a little while when they upgrade from physical to digital. If you have any further questions regarding the installation process itself, you will need to speak with Sony as that is on their end. Same with regards to any licenses you may have or may not have purchased. Any other questions, please feel free to ask.

1 RispondiHello, Our records indicate that your expansion licenses are not being reported by your console to Destiny. You may wish to try restoring your platform licenses. Instructions on how you may accomplish this can be found here: ACCESSING LICENSES ON ALL PLATFORMS If you continue to encounter this issue, you may wish to reach out to PlayStation Support once more with this information.

5 RisposteJust out if curiosity, did you get any codes that you need to type in first? Didn't get mine digitally, but on disc and there were codes I had to put in to unlock them. Think there was also a completion path in the game that had to be completed before the TTK events started unlocking as well...forget exactly. If you open your map you should see a "destination" that is actually the intro video for TTK. Think it was down to the right, sort of left of where Saturn and the dreadnaught would be (no access to the game ATM to look).

Modificato da Mr_Kally: 7/17/2016 12:05:56 PMDingoxl, if I deleted my Destiny Vanilla from the CD and checked the Store, will I find the game there? There is a label on the Edition that states that each one of the contents/passes is 100 KB in size, plus that there is a caution stating that I must own Destiny Vanilla in order to download them, so I wonder if deleting it would be beneficial. You know why I am strict regarding deleting and re-installing, right? If not, then because my Internet is such a slow one, so please be at least 90% sure of it.

5 RisposteHey kally. As discussed at length yesterday, it appears to me that you have only installed the disc and not downloaded ttk. As I suggested to contact Playstation support, you might have a better chance at calling them rather than email or chat. Here's their number. https://gethuman.com/phone-number/Playstation Ttk is its own entity. The areas in the game for ttk are not located on the disc and require their own download and installation. Good luck. Dingo.
