Title says it all. The thing that took ages in king fall was all the jumping , and sadly if you had some who couldn't jump to save their life then all the jumping puzzles would take forever and the daughters would be a wipe every time it landed on said person. So please don't make the next one like that! I don't mind jumping puzzles but that daughter fight mechanic please leave it to rest.
Edit: I don't know what I expected. Forgot what the forums were like, silly me.
Edit 2: I think people are missing the point. The main gripe I have is that the daughter mechanic is random and if it lands on someone who can't jump then it's a wipe. Raids should be able team work and skill not a lottery on who can jump.
Edit 3:
I think that the issue is really with things being random. See, VoG had issues when bad randoms were teleported to do Oracles on Atheon. CE didn't have any random factors so it was generally stress free. King's Fall has random selection on Daughters which will sometimes be wipe city. So it isn't that jumping is the problem, but not being able to choose who jumps. That, and the fact that everyone needs to know how to do every part of the raid.
This is what I was trying to say but failed, thank you Keinamaru

I would like the pistons check point to practice on. I always feel like my boots are covered in butter on that part. I hate feeling like I'm wasting others time on it.
-
Didn't care for puzzles. Daughters though was not that bad. Besides, if you are going to wipe because of it, at least it's at the beginning.
-
2 RisposteThe problem is the -blam!-ing casual scum. Git gud i say.
-
I really enjoyed kf and the jumping aspects of the raid. I just think it shouldn't be randomly selected except for maybe hard mode
-
It should be if 3 make it across everyone does
-
2 RisposteThis is what I hate and what stops me playing kings fall. I wiped a team 4 times on the daughter's because it kept picking me. I left after the 4th attempt, they did tell me to stay and get it but done but I didn't want to keep them.
-
1 RispondiHow about a timed jumping puzzle? Those who make it (quickly) get a chest, if you fail then you get teleported or even better fall down a big chute :) That way there's no waiting around for ages for the one that can't jump and those who enjoy jumping puzzles get to do it and get rewarded

3 RisposteModificato da Richy-Koz: 7/18/2016 5:31:56 AMWhenever someone in my raid team is torn in daughters and aren't comfortable I just tell them "there's only one way to learn, good luck!"
-
Like if it's for learning it's fine but it's really inconsiderate if you just waste hours of people's time because you can't jump and don't know what you're doing
-
1 Rispondi3 tries - get the boot
-
Jumping puzzle -> no raid for me. That's simple.
-
2 RispostePlease dont make the next raid "killing dependent"
-
So it sounds like you want it to be easy for you? And not challenge you or make you have to fight harder? To go out and try to find strong day 0 raid players who have a good balance of skill sets? Save the raid carries for when the YouTube tutorials come and leave the raid race for the big kids.
-
I really enjoy the jumping parts. I used to royally blow at them and dread doing them (I'm talking sweaty palms and heart palpitations) out of fear of winding up who I was with but thankfully I've been blessed with the people Ive raided with, always chilled and they've always been able to laugh at my misfortune. Thanks to them I can do it all smoothly now. The first time I got it at the sisters they all predicted a wipe buuuuttt... I still tried and did it first time and quicker than any of them. I do see your point tho but as someone who doesn't take the raids too seriously I just think it should be a laugh and not chore but everyone is entitled to a preference I just feel the jumping parts make it more entertaining.

I kinda like the jumping puzzles ;-;
-
Sooo, have you tried jumping around whilst on patrol? in Strikes? in Story missions? You know, practicing?
-
1 RispondiModificato da Mr. Moon: 7/18/2016 9:21:49 PMIts really pathetically sad to see people having problems at either the jumping "puzzles" or daughters/oryx. How can you have so much trouble accomplishing the most simple action in this game? I mean come on?! You have a problem with jumping? You cant jump? Is this your first FPS? Have you ever played a platformer? Is this your first video game?
-
2 RisposteCan someone explain to me why it's so difficult? I jut don't see it.
-
I hear what you're saying, the randomly selected jumper caused a lot of stress in individuals and raid groups. As an alternative proposal, I'd suggest making 'practice courses' of some type so that users could go in and practice the jumps without the team staring and getting grouchy.
-
Daughters hard mode is what done it for me. It was like jumper lotto drying to find the right two people in a row to complete. That was the biggest pain in the ass ever
-
While it might not be considered one jumping accurately is indeed a skill and one you have to master if you really want to do the raids even if your not the one running relic.
-
It's called git gud or don't raid. Simple as that. Quite frankly if I have someone on my team that can't platform jump, then I think it's a fair indicator of their skill in raid combat. I raid to get things done. Not carry.
-
3 RisposteNo, best moments in raids were watching that one guy try for hours to land a ledge just to get launched by a piston, slowly shedding away what is left of his dignity until he finally goes to orbit and joins back on the other side.
-
6 RisposteThe problem is practice. Everyone should go to the patrol area with the ascending platforms, select the "torn" option get used to jumping in third person and in a distorted negative visual. It would be terrible to have to do it for the first time in the raid under pressure with another five intolerant and impatient players.
-
Modificato da halfhairy: 7/18/2016 9:06:37 PMI love the the jumping puzzles, adds a little something extra to the raids. If someone on your fire team can't do it they can jump to orbit and come back in at the next checkpoint. As for the daughters everyone should learn to do it, lol
-
You have this backwards. EVERY raid boss should have a complicated roll that us either randomly assigned or required of all. No game designer should ever assume that a portion of a group is useless and just to be carried. If you can't handle every mechanic then you shouldn't be in a raid.
