BEFORE YOU READ, I HAVE BEEN TO THE LIGHTHOUSE OVER 20 TIMES, CHECK MY STATS. THIS IS ABOUT THE COMMUNITY, NOT ME. ATTACK ALL YOU WANT. DEAF EARS ;)
This is not an original suggestion. Many have suggested before. Of course we know the suggestion could be circumvented. Two measures can fix it.
- Only one lighthouse trip per character, per week (max of 3 trips).
- To prevent carrier streamers from resetting cards before a flawless, make it to where the fire team must have ALIGNED CARDS. That way the system can't be circumvented. What I mean by this is, if wins on cards on the fire team do not match, then you cannot enter the activity..
Another fix could be a tier system as many suggest.
The "carry" or even the steamer carry has completely taken over ToO and it's just dumb. It's become so ridiculous that the community actually has this weekly thread (this is indicative of a PROBLEM)
https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/208558104/0/0
Regardless of steamers or just insane keyboard and mouse players with a massive advantage over those using a controller, there are people in Destiny who play trials merely to keep others out. You want to talk about bad for the game? Cure this cancer.
For the "git gud" and "KD matters" people
Trials is supposed to be competitive, and in it's current state it is NOT competitive for the upper skill tiers. Therefore, it is not competitive for lower tiers because they can't compete. What's ironic is that the elitist PvP players always say " playing tough opponents makes you better," yet they have no desire to play people on thier level in most cases. They jsut want to stomp casuals and feel superior. If they actually face an opponent of thier skill level, they complain that it's too hard and that they're mad lol. Total hypocrisy
.
Like and bump if you agree.
Another thread on the matter:

1 RispondiHey Skred, what going on buddy, love the post! I think the Tier system would be great, been to the light this week then you are only going to play others who have been to the lighthouse making it more competitive for them, and giving us lighthouse virgins a better chance. But I of course can see the other side for people who only play trials and want to go as many times as they can, especially if there are making money doing it. It's a really tough one.
-
5 RisposteModificato da Kornby: 7/12/2016 6:33:53 PMSome people do it to help people.... or boost their ELO. Very few people do it to keep people out. Trials was introduced as a place where the best of the best can compete. And i think its difficulty is just fine. The only reason people want this is so they can get to the lighthouse easier, people dont understand that if it was easier.... it wouldnt feel as good.
-
4 RisposteNo one cares you went 20 times. I went over 100. So what. Trials is amazing the way it is. I grab my boys and stomp people and stop them from going to lighthouse bc you need to get good to get there.
-
I just carried a buddy to flawless. I had to delete my passage in the process, because he told me about some bs "If you delete your passage then you'll get matched up with people on the same amount of wins as you." I remember why I hate trials.
-
5 RisposteAll I know, this past week was not trials. It was how good of a sniper are you. Really dumb. The lag was pretty bad as well. But I was getting headshot mid air from 20 ft out in the middle of shoulder charging in the air. Snipers are not that good. Quickscoping is way too effective. And no, I don't snipe. But I also shouldn't have to. The only teams I beat, were the ones that had someone not sniping. We would kill him. I was playing with someone really good, and he got like 2 kills a round within 10 seconds sniping. I was like, I don't want to play like this. It's not fun. And I left.
-
4 RisposteNah fixing trials would be to repair it to year one status. It was more fun and it was more accessible to pve-centric and casual pvpers. -give pve players an actual incentive to get to the lighthouse. Hell give casual pvp players incentive to go to the lighthouse because primaries with passive last resort aren't cutting it. Even if elemental primaries are out of the question this is the most important step. The more people that see the lighthouse as rewarding enough to warrant the hassle the more players of all skill will join the fray and lessen the sweat. -Remove Scorecard based matchmaking. It's not a valid measure of skill to warrant the arguments of skill base matchmaking and it's not stable enough to justify over pure connection. It just exists to create forced bottlenecks 6+ wins that simply did not exist in year one and ramped up the skill gap that exists now. If you want to keep scorecard based matchmaking past 9-0 for the scarab emblem then that's fine and would give the hardcore something to do as well. -give more passage coins both out in the field or after each game. You shouldn't have to kill yourselves multiple times just to afford a passage. That's it.
-
30 RisposteI don't understand how the sniper determines how a match is played in trials and there is nothing done about it. I don't understand why they would mess with the revive times and make them longer. It's just easier to rez snipe. I also do not understand why they made most every sniper be able to rez snipe. The doctrine was good to make a sniper flinch. Not anymore, thanks to the nerf. Mida was a good gun to use too. Stagger was taken from it. Why does it have to be snipers of osiris? I really hope they mix in some smaller maps or change the entire structure of TOO. It needs it pretty bad.

If the Twitch streamers cant carry people Destiny loses viewers and players. Does Bungie wanna risk losing the exposure of Streamers to cater to the casual player base who cant go flawless cause they suck? Difficult decision from a financial point of view. Wonder what Bungie execs are thinking?
-
5 RisposteI have to disagree with this idea, players should be able to play as much as they want. The rewards can only be receive once per character already. If we are moving in that direction then to be fair are we going to make raid, nightfall, Prison of Elders only allow one character per account per week? You can limit the reward loot but to put a limit on gameplay? The results and feedback would not be in a good tone. Leave that to those mobile app games that only allow you to play a few rounds then pay up with real money if you want to play more. This is just a game. You win some, you lose some.

Modificato da Blame: 7/12/2016 6:06:41 PMFirst off, key board and mouse isn't a huge advantage most keyboard players will do just as well with a controller Second, people who do carries allow people who have no chance at going flawless themselves to go to the lighthouse and all that What it seems to me is that u aren't good enough to compete with 2 players and u would rather see thousands of less people go to the lighthouse every weekend just so it will be easier for u and ur scrub friends
-
keyboard and mouse isn't an advantage when the sensitivity is still locked
-
Make it so they halve aligned cards? Lol no, just no.
-
Um no. I do noit agree with this. All this would do is restrict content and loot in the game and we don't need more of that.
-
Limiting player participation in Trials isn't going to help anything, the rewards can only be gained once a week anyways. If you want to cure the cancer you have to find the source of the cancer and address it. The source isn't players doing carries is the fact that people feel they need to be carried in order to reach the lighthouse.
-
21 Risposte20 times.... big deal Bro. .... You limit light house to once a week the player base will drop. Bungie will not do it. Would you intentionally drop your player base on purpose because "casuals" are whining about getting to the light house? Didn't think so. Could matchmaking be tweaked maybe? Yes of course. Denying repetitive play in the only moderate competitive playlist this game has which is also friggen timegated is suicide.
-
2 RispostePeople will still complain about the tier system. Noobs be like- ohh the first flawless tier was easy.... But why the hell try for tier 2? It's sweats. Screw that. Then bungo has to put a special gun/loot drop for going flawless on tier 2, right? People will complain about that too Imo year 1 trials with "op" guns, was more enjoyable than sweat fest year 2
-
You just make 2 tiers one for people who have never been and one for the sweaty psychos.
-
So streamers will just never buy the boons and will still be able to help people go flawless. Not like they need the flawless anyways
-
3 RisposteI think is a good idea, used to think trials saved destiny but lately started to think it was trials that ruined destiny it divided players base, I mean I can guarantee 90% of players bought destiny for pve but as time passed bungie forgot about pve by nerf in every single gun an class in the game all cose of pvp , I remember people used looked forward to reset day to do the raid now no body cares, all am going to say trials is not a game but a business
-
Well all that would happen is they just wouldnt buy they're boons so they wouldnt hit 9 wins, so that wouldnt really do much tbh
-
Modificato da NobodyJustBrad: 7/12/2016 4:58:37 PMWon't work. The good carriers don't buy boons of their own. When they get their carry to the lighthouse, their own card is not yet done, so they can still reset over and over. Get over it.
-
5 RisposteStop crying. The lighthouse isn't for everyone. Either get better at the game or get use to knowing you won't ever see the lighthouse Who cares if people who don't deserve it go first than you ? Stop crying and practice
-
I should be able to play trials as many times as I want. All you want is an easy lane which will be created by filtering out the good players who already made it to the lighthouse.
-
Have it to where if u have gone flawless that week, you play at least 1 player that has gone flawless that week too. Trials is nothing but snipers, super Uber streamer carrying shitfest lately. It discourages my friends for even getting the bounties done. I'm all about more people playing the game mode and at least thinking they have a chance to go flawless every week. I'm 53x flawless, just in case ur wondering.
-
Make it so 2 wins in a row will clear a loss. Maybe even remove the boons/coins to make it work. Everything else staying the same it would still be incredibly competitive. I think that would encourage more people to play because going up against a top tier team wouldn't necessarily ruin your card. It'll just feel like you still have a chance to recover. That being said the win based matchmaking would still make getting those last couple wins really tough.

https://destinytrialsreport.com/ps/skred679/runit120689/SaltyAnders Nothing from your trials report even seems remotely close to decent, so your opinion is invalid. It seems like you were carried to 23 flawless runs. And before you call me out: https://destinytrialsreport.com/ps/phatboyzz-xxl/ICEMAN6159/AceofHearts516 So stfu and go back to an easy game.
