Let me start by saying this is not a rant or a crying session. I get off work today, ask my 3 boys how their day was. My 13 yr old tells me he put a group together and flew a fire team into his oryx checkpoint. One of the "mature"adults tells my son to hand over fire team lead, so my son being a gullible pre teen he happily surrenders the lead. He then gets kicked from the group for being a kid. I understand a lot of people prefer not to play with children ( myself included ,except of course my children). I get it. This person knew my son was a kid when he joined the party. To me, this is a bit below the belt. He's not upset, neither am I, we both just kinda laughed and shrugged it off.
Let me say my son has many oryx clears, he's better at the raid than many of the people I've played with (reaction time of a 13 yr old is crazy, makes me feel old watching him lol). I guess my point is, you don't want to play with kids, cool nothing wrong with that. Just don't be a prick and cheat your way to a checkpoint by stealing it from a kid, then kicking the kid. Thanks for reading.

3 Rispostei didnt even bother reading. WHO. THE. -blam!-. CARES
ur the one acting childish
Toughen up butter cup, nobody wants to play with your kid; he's probably whiny just like you.
-
I don't kick the kids, but I do tend to remove myself from such parties. One of the reasons is that swear a lot, and that's not something to do in presence of kids.
-
I play with a guy from work and his 9 year old son, who could easily wreck over half the people on this forum. At the end of the day, all that matters to me is how good the person is in the fireteam. It doesn't matter if your 9 or 70, if you're good you're fine by me.

2 RisposteLeast it was online. I have a constant urge to kick children in public.
-
Well, tell him to age rapidly. Problem solved.

Modificato da F GGY TIME: 7/8/2016 2:09:59 AMplay with kids all the time, have helped alot through the hard mode, once me and 4 other guys 5 manned oryx because a young kid kept dying, finally like the 5th try he died again and we said -blam!- it we will 5 man it, haha we pulled it off and the kid was so greatful and excited it was his first hard mode completion.. it made my damn day, from then on I always enjoy playing when a kid or two is part of the raid team, after a while the game can get boring and all that's left to do is help others. Sorry about what happened to your son, but the community isn't always filled with d-bags, hope he keeps playing :)

Modificato da Pat: 7/8/2016 12:10:18 PMKids and maturity are two different things. As long as a kid isn't screaming and just constantly talking idc.

Modificato da Culture: 7/8/2016 11:39:39 AMIt's funny because the younger community is way better than the older Destiny community.
coming from the #1 destiny player
Kids are generally really annoying and I typically won't play with them but that was still a dick move. I would have even been fine with him just leaving as soon as he got the checkpoint but that was too much. That said, I wonder if the kid was actually telling the whole story though. Kids tend to make stuff up.

1 RispondiSee is as positive as it can be, your son has just learned that a$$holes do actualy exist.
-
The joke is on the idiot who kicked him. They had the checkpoint once they loaded in... The kick wasn't needed. It was just a dick move...
-
I usually let kids on the team. I like to make the laugh and hear them die of laughter.

someone is going to take this in a wrong way

3 RisposteUnfortunately the world is full of cowards and d1cks, shame on the rest for not calling him out on what he just did and/or leaving as support for your son.
-
I wouldnt wanna go deaf if your son gets a 335 either...
-
If you are not bothered by it, why post about it.
-
Yes reaction times are faster than a middle age man. But what I DONT GET IS THAT THIS GAME IS RATED T FOR TEEN NOT FOR "mature" ADULTS! Of course you are going to meet teens and tweens. But IDK just my opinion
-
That's a dick move, unfortunately some "adults" are. Hopefully he's okay with that as an explanation. Hope he gets his clear.
-
Gonna be real they could have just spawned in died then left its the same thing back when gorgon chest and deathsingers were a thing there were more then a few people who did it every week
-
good. he probably had a kinect mic as well

That's a dick Move. I think personally I'd of left, or wouldn't of joined with someone of 13. But there's no way in earth I'd of made them hand over FTL then booted them. Maybe that's because I've got an 11 year old who plays. Maybe it's because I'm not a twat. Who knows. Hopefully your lad has learned not to hand over FTL in the future. Hope he clears the raid with a respectful team soon.

2 RisposteI have a suggestion; tell your son to mature his mind and body faster or he's grounded until he's 18. Lol. People are dicks.

16 RisposteAs the father of what used to be a 13 year old kid, it's safe to assume you're not getting the whole story. And by the way, I hope your kid isn't learning anything from you. Posting your whiny little bitch rant to the forums is a terrible example of how to be a man.

46 RisposteYou must realise your son is under age to be playing this. So you have no right to say anything if you as a parent let him play.
